I might be the only one I know who liked this movie, but what about a Waterworld thread? Y'know, from the Kevin Costner Movie...

And, I know this seems very childish, but it leaves a lot of openings, what about a Neverending Story thread? They're both long shots...I suppose.
But i think Waterworld could be very cool...

Oh, and a suggestion.. Would anyone be interested in a Highlander thread? There'd have to be a hell of a lot of NPCs to get beheaded, but I think it could be sorta cool with a good GM (Not me.. I hate GMing and I suck at it)

I'm thinking of some kind of spy thread with a vampric (is that a word?) twist. The story would follow as so, "In WW2 when troops raided some of the German castles they discovered a race of vampires who lived in the shadows of civilization. Seeing them as a powerful ally, the UN accepted them into their ranks as a hidden member. Now a man has come to rise again in Paris, trying to rally a new breed on Nazis. The UN of course is seeking to squash the rebellion, involving intelligence from around the world. A good deal of these agents from all over are vampires, some engineered to be able to walk outside during the daytime. Of course some of the baddies are vamps as well. So what do you all think?

Actually, that reminds me of a short story series I started once (didnt' get to finish it, the paper I was publishing it in closed down).. Where the government was actually secretly being run by a small group of vampires.

Good idea, but complicated. If you figure something out and get a group going, I'd jump in on this...

I'm going to start to do research for the WWII thread I mentioned earlier. If there's a highlander thread, I'd like to contribute tons of fodder guys to get sliced up.

Anybody ever thought of an RPG based on the world of Robert Jordan's The Wheel Of Time series? I loved the books, and the whole channeling idea of magic seems cool.

Or if you don't like Robert Jordan's work, the same thing could be done with The Sword Of Truth series, by Terry goodkind. Or even a setting in Thimhallen, from the Darksword series by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman.

I'm thinking the Dark Tower Books, by Stephen King, with Roland of Gilead and such...dimensional portals, large natural settings (deserts and such), new and unusual animals, intense technological advances left behind by the "Old Ones," not invented or used by the characters, but a part of the story anyway, no high-technology weapons, just Colt revolvers (six-shooters) and ammunition...
Any thoughts?

I am trying to revive the Sliders thread It was going good tellsome of the people in it had to stop. But now, I am back and trying to get it going. Wecould use some people to take over the roles of others, but I will see how it goes after a week and see if hey come back... If not, then new people can have the roles.

And yes, we will have other charters latert on.

I like the spy idea. The name's Bond, James Bond.

I think one about Dune would be good as well.
