Something you do that other people think is weird

Yes, I totally know what those are. :)

Heh. A pell is a padded post or similar object used as a whacking target for weapons practice, and a quintain is a sort of reactive target used for jousting practice.

This is a pretty traditional pell. Sometimes they're wrapped with rope or leather or whatever.

This is a traditional quintain. The idea is that if you're not moving fast enough, you get whacked in the back.

The structure I built has several elements, and they're interchangeable for different types of practice.

Dyslexic ?

Not at all. I see words and read them forward and then backwards.

If a word is upside down or backwards, reflected etc... I like to figure it out. It's just a word/letter game I play in my head.

I can do math problems upside down which really impresses the kids in study hall.

I've not applied it to numbers and math really, although I do math in my head all the time so it seems not too different. :)

I can see how it would impress the kids... especially the ones that have a hard enough time doing the problems right side up. :D

I have this in my back yard.

I write checks for my bills via snail mail. Except the water bill, I pay that one in cash.

I use my turn signals religiously, wash my hands before I leave the restroom, and say please and thank you. Sometimes I even hold doors open for people. Apparently I'm some kind of anomaly.

I still read the newspaper, check my own oil and transmission fluid.

Having lost the ability to jog after knee surgery, I tend to walk long distances or to the store just to enjoy seeing simple things along the way.

Just got back from Origins Game Fair, averaged five hours sleep, played a dozen different RPGs. Lived on a diet of Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwiches. So... I'll say that.

I do the above plus always put on my seatbelt before starting my car. I also make sure everyone else is belted in before driving.

I put the seatbelt on after starting the car. It adds a little time to allow the oil to circulate before putting a load on the engine.

I have other time spacers like other people and seat belts, plug in the phone, then my music, water bottle, and backpack which need to be placed just so ;)

Jeez, too much stuff......

Unfortunately, at this point in my life I don't have much choice, except the music part. :)
I used to be the up, showered, dressed, out the door and driving all within 10mins type of girl and I hope to be so again but for now, I am not.

I don't usually invite people inside if they show up unannounced/without warning. I love having company but I require advanced notice. Without it I am unlikely to answer the door at all. A dear friend considers this the height of rudeness and very much has a problem with it. I'd love to see her daily if I could - but with a 10 or 15 minute heads-up :) She no longer asks to come over because if she can't drop by on a whim - she'd rather not drop by at all.

Works for me!

I use friends like this as a reminder to get up and dressed in the morning and keep the place somewhat neat or at least have a chair and table clear.
I also try to have people over for dinner every few weeks just to keep me on my toes.

Apparently my baking snickedoodles and oatmeal cookies with cum in them is considered weird. Who knew.
