Southern Men

lol ~ I hear the word redneck all the time ~ it's funny to hear the locals call eachother that little do they know sountherners don't see it as an insult- it's more of and honor~ I just refer to them as stumpjumpers...leaves them scratching their heads and thinking "huh?"

I grew up in the hills, and that's what we were. Working on the farm, heading down to the reservoir in a pickup truck, and all.

lol well you have me beat then...i've never worked on a famr- but we use to buy our milk from one- does that count for anything?

That sure does! Not many people now know or remember the taste of fresh milk. Much better than stuff out of a jug or carton.

Oh I agree...just isn't the same...along with sun tea and and home made lemonade- I have yet to meet anyone here who makes their own tea or lemonade or even know how- just a duck out of water here

I've known how to make my own iced tea, sweet, of course, since I was about 9 years old. I made my first pitcher of lemonade around 12.

Did I mention I also know how to cook, and enjoy doing so?

I'm not surprised you can cook- my ex made the same dinner over and over- over cooked steak- micro potato and whatever vegetable he could find- god I just realize how much I hate that combo lol

I'm a bit more original than that, thankfully.

The family always wants pretty much the same thing, though, so I don't get much chance to experiment and play...

Really? well maybe you can ask them waht they might like to try- even look thru a cookbook to get some ideas - look over the pictures etc and go from there- couldn't hurt and I am sure they would be open to it

I won't even go into the blowup the last time I tried that.

I'll keep practicing for myself, though, until I have someone to cook for who appreciates it.

(Damn, that sounded positively bitchy, didn't it?):D

G'nite, WT. Have a great tomorrow!

Hey packersfan have to say a redneck southern man who can cook, knows the taste of fresh milk probably a strawberry or two straight off the vine, and some good old homemade southern wine.

God I DO LOVE MY SOUTHERN MEN!!

Nothing like a nice downhome boy to keep a country girl smiling for hours.

Whew, loving the spring time, it's so nice outside. But damn did it just skip spring and head straight into summer?

Got the hitch installed on my Cherokee, now I just need to wire up the harness, clean out my trailer and pick up some paving bricks.

Then it's time to seed the yard and get the flower beds ready. I can't WAIT until the flowers come up, it's gonna be so nice :)
