It's going to be fun to see how outgoing people are with respect to their online demenor.

What's been the case in the past? Do people's online personalities translate into the "real world"? I guess I'm asking those that went to the other get togethers.

I think for the most part yes people are just the same on line as off. And for me I'm pretty out going eather way. As I've told others here come with an open mind and plan on having alot of fun

Well, I'll share my experiences with another experience that was similar. I play MMORPGs and my guild was very familiar electronically. Eventually we planned our first get together.

A lot of folks started very quiet (myself included) and as we got to realize that these were the same folks we always talked to and loosened up it was just like being online but with a face and body to attach to the personality.

Now we get together regularly several times a year. Although this one will be my first Litogether I imagine its similar in developing a comfort level.

Actualy theres a few of us who are pretty out going it really didn't take long at all for everyone to start having fun Especially When I started passing out the goodie bags

Of the 54 that are signed up to come (as well as attend the Litogether ), what type of male/female breakdown do we have? If it's like any other get together in Charlotte, it'll be about 80/20 m/f.
I'm crossing my fingers that it's a little more even than that!!

Ok its up to 55 now and your right it is over half male however you guys need to fix that I can't lol its much easier to have the men invite the ladies rather than the ladies invite them. so if you guys want the ladies there your going to have to do a bit of leg work and get out ther and invite them to join us.

One thing you can do is add a link like several of the ladies have in your sig line. I posted how to do this back several pages and I'll see if i can find it and bring it back to the front so you guys can do the same.

I read through about the first 3 pages, and then skipped to this last page. I'm very new here, as you can see. I post on another forum where I asked for some good reading material, and someone directed me here. I got caught up in the webcams the first couple of days, and then made my way over here today.

I just found this thread, and I was wondering what exactly goes on at these things. If there's more info in between the pages that I skipped, just let me know, and I'll go back through and read the rest of this thread. Or if someone could kindly direct me to some other threads related to these litogethers. Or if someone could PM me with details. I might be interested in something like this. But, I'm very shy, and hell, I just found this forum, so it's not like I was planning to meet up with a bunch of *strangers* any time soon. Time will tell, I guess.

after meeting two on the list and them mentioning it to me I am interested. I am also sure there are a couple of NYers that would be interested in going. It would give us a good reason to see Perks.

how to put a link in your Sig line for the new people:

Anyone wanting to place an invite in their sig lin can do it this way. Some had ask for the directions. You need to follow the directions exactly and that will put whats in my sig line in yours. go to your Control Panel, click edit profile, then scroll down to the box that says "Signature" over to the right you'll see a box you can type in, type the following and follow my instructions exactly it won't work if you don't.

Copy and paste this first:

One more little piece of info you might be interested in knowing.


I'm contacting several vendors to see if I can get some sponsors.

one thing I'm trying to get is a FREE wet bar on Fri and maybe even Sat night.

however we need to have a huge number of people that are at least truly planning on comming (50).

right now I can't say that so if you want to have FREE drinks for that weekend get out there and invite.

If your planning on bringing anyone that isn't on the list let me know so I can add them to the total count too. That will help as well.

the more people we have the better the chances we'll have alot of sponsors. I'm working on several things in that dept.
