Star City- The Heroes of Tomorrow OOC

Their TV network, man -- they just KEEP ON bringin' it, don't they??

Not caught up yet. Hoping to scrunch in s'more episodes in this coming week between the two shows with my friend...and I can't wait for sure!

Definitely loved Brandon's Palmer from the glimpses I've seen so far! Can't wait to keep seeing more! :)

...I want more Young Justice news though too! But those characters are *MY* go to of course! Hehe.

Oi. Sorry. My brain has been elsewhere the last few days. But I am about to post ICly. I will wait if anyone wants to respond, and in a few more days will do the time jump. The jump is going to be about a month. So, here's to that.

Chas, I am sorry about the other thing. I have been reading along and I can see how torn up you were. I don't want to poke a bear, or upset anyone by seeming to take sides or whatever, but we have written closely here off and on for a very long time. If you need to vent, if you need to just bare fangs and tear shit up, I am here.

So, yeah. Back to the IC Post.

I will try again to get a post up tonight.

It's important to me to get a couple more reaction shots in, though I haven't yet succeeded in organizing all of them.

Loved your latest post, Lunar. I could really hear John Diggle's oratory stylings in that speech.

As of my most recent Rose post, I'm abandoning the pattern I used before in her song-titles, as she's going to be interacting more with other characters from now on and it'll be more difficult to predict her arcs.

Did anyone puzzle out what I was doing with those titles?

...spelling things out has always been an important part of The Dials' history, so I tried to use an acrostic of post titles as a subliminal foreshadowing mechanism. At the same time, each song had to apply to the post's events and sometimes hint at where the arc was going.

It's been a fun and challenging exercise.

Very ambitious, very clever, very cool Miss "ChasNicollette"! Unfortunately -- *shrugggg* -- I am unfamiliar, previous to speaking with you and "Sean_Renaud", with Ben10-ish stuff. I *HEARD* of the DC 52 DIAL H title but did not read it. So "I" personally would have never...in a thousand and one years, gotten that awesome subliminal decoder message of yours! But I definitely respect and appreciate the notion and effort!

My hats off to you and I've enjoyed reading about her, from what I've read so far :))))

So off topic, Miss "ChasNicollette"(and anyone else please). With the fairly new-ish Spidey news semi 'joining' the *MARVEL* cinematic universe. All in for Peter, or....make way for Miles?

Are you a fan of Miles?

(this is under the presumption that it cannot be both, of course)

I am excited for Spider-Man in any form. Which reminds me, I have to look out for trade paperbacks of Spider-Verse...

But I would be super excited for greater representation and diversity in a genre that doesn't have nearly enough, which Miles fulfills by being a simply amazing character of color.

Both, so much the better. I've written a 616-based Miles Morales before as Spider-Boy, mentee and sidekick to Peter Parker. Got powers during "Spider Island," like Araña did. Wouldn't be too hard to do something similar in The MCU.

Was bored by Spider-Verse, but it really targets, obvs, Spider-fans.
However, I LOVED Silk and Spider Woman in it!
(I'm still on the fence about Spider Gwen)

I desperately want Spider-Gwen to have a team-up with Stephanie Brown.

And while we're at it, Cassandra Cain and X-23.

And then I want Carol Danvers to have a little adopted sister named Linda.

...so what's this Spider-Verse and talk of Spider-Gwen again? And what's the breakdown on Gwen Stacy? How is she *ALIVE* for any of this to be happening? Alternate reality? Ultimate universe?

I love(d) her, but...hm...

Oh, and Cassandra Cain was/is amazing! ;)

Spider-Verse is a storyline that combines all the versions of Spider-Man that have ever been published or televised (with a few exceptions-- Tobey, Andrew, the "Spectacular" cartoon, the Spider-Boys from The Amalgam Universe), and many that have never been seen before.

In one universe, Gwen Stacy was bitten by the spider instead of Peter, becoming Spider-Woman instead of a Spider-Man-- she's referred to as Spider-Gwen so as not to confuse her, I think, with the many other Spider-Women that have appeared in 616, especially Jessica Drew.

I am very much delighted that there's a version of Gwen Stacy that I can fall in love with again without her dying and breaking my heart. Granted, Bryce Dallas Howard didn't die, but I can't spend time with her without watching the abhorrent "Spider-Man 3."

Cassandra Cain is amazing.

I've written her several times, she's a real delight and a challenge-- to describe the music of her movements and yet express her complex thoughts with single-word sentences...

Cassandra. I said the 'was' part, because of it and her being PRE-52 of course....unless they managed to bring her back somehow in the new books since? Really loved reading anything with her. Especially when she crossed over with some of the books I was reading then. 90's/2000's Superboy, Robin, etc...

Interesting on the Spider-Verse gig. So. It's like a limited series type of thing. Like a House of M, Age of Apocalypse, alternate universe storyline or....just something separate and "fun" to explore on their and its own?

I DID love when Gwen was alive in the aforementioned House of M era. Of course, it never hurts -- in my opinion -- when the *ART* is so visually stunning.....that one cannot HELP but eat up. Whatever is on the page, regardless! Salvador Larroca, Mike Choi come to mind as some of my faves...and Mister Larroca I believe was on those four-five issues for Spidey!

Love the 60's cartoon and the timeless Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends(what was that *TRIBUTED* game they released several years ago with the four actors from the four cartoons -- Shattered Dimensions or something? Although I never got to play it -- freakin' couldn't get ENOUGH of that generated - inspired and most thrilling excitement....tributed to the fans and the material!!).....although that's weird that they skipped over the beloved Spectacular cartoon, which is one of my faves...if not my fave(90's one close up there too) just because of the lead actor's voice!

Haha. That's good ol' Bart for you!

....I'm going to be soOOOO disappointed if they cancel their 'ambitions' for the Young Justice live show. I need me some Conner - Bart - Tim and Cassie interactions!

I imagine that the "Titans" series probably precludes a YJ show. :/

...but I think the uproar and hatred provoked by the recent "Teen Titans Go!"/"Young Justice" much-hyped so-called "crossover" might be another step towards convincing Cartoon Network that they killed the wrong show.

Josh Keaton was one of the voices in "Shattered Dimensions," right? And so was NPH, sort-of reprising his MTV!animated role. The MTV version didn't get brought into Spider-Verse either, partly I'm sure because it was ostensibly set in the universe of the first Tobey Maguire "Spider-Man" film before the second film contradicted it. It's all about rights and licensing and so forth-- I'm sure they could have hashed out deals, but that's more money that Ike Perlmutter doesn't want to let slip through his skinflint fingers.

I do believe (though I could be wrong) that Cassandra Cain is returning in the upcoming "Convergence" event. I do really hope she does, I miss her terribly.

It's funny, I was just looking at some of LaRocca's art yesterday, one of his covers from "X-Treme X-Men." Though I prefer Tom Grummett, Jim Lee, or Olivier Coipel.

Dreams CAN come true...but them canceling the Young Justice show like that? Nahh.....I have absolutely *NO* faith what-so-ever in the 'big wigs' of Cartoon Network.

...and they don't give a damn-able thing about the fans. Apparently the 'ratings' are good for that show too. So that's all they need to keep putting out seasons.

Meh.

Yeah, well.

At least we have our fanfic universes, so we can explore the might-have-beens with impunity. I know that's not the same as having our whims validated by some form of canon, but it is certainly better than nothing!

Also Christopher Daniel Barnes from the 90's Animated, and the guy from the 80's(Amazing Friends) -- just so good! Admittedly, I never really saw the Neal Patrick Harris one, although I love him! But mannnn! Those other three shows!! Growing up on that Amazing show, loving the HECK out of the 90's...and then EATING the heck out of Josh Keaton's(yes you are right) performance -- just to get all of those guys together....what the privilege!!! :)

...yeah, I really loved Larroca on my X-Men titles. Tremendously. Loved his Gambit. Gah. I think he was SUPPOSED to be at that NYC 2010 convention that I met Todd Nauck at...but I never got to see him, or he was there a different day.

Loved Tom Grummett for Conner of course....he's a decent artist, but.....hehe. Now Jim Lee obviously is UP there! ;) And one of my best friend's loves Mister Coipel as well!

I also like that Steve McNiven, whom did the Civil War main book.

That's cool on Cassandra Cain if in fact that pans out!
