Star City- The Heroes of Tomorrow OOC

And as USUAL Chas writes up masterpieces and while I still wonder what to do with myself.

And as USUAL Chas writes up masterpieces and while I still wonder what to do with myself.

If it makes you feel better, it took me the better part of a week to brainstorm all that stuff, and the better part of a day (with headache and blurred vision by the end) to type it all, not counting the false starts I had during that better part of a week.

Special thanks to Lunar for contributing dialogue as Barry Allen, and the inimitable Lachiyous for proofreading and suggesting notes on that conversation about Bart.

And thank you for calling that long slog a "masterpiece," that was a huge boost to my ego when I saw that this morning. <3

My next post should have my characters getting off a plane in Star City, or maybe getting out of a limo at The Brownstone.

If anyone would like to do a flashback with their characters and mine for events from the skipped six weeks, I'm open to joint posts and so forth.

...and I'll have to catch up on reading the new stuff in the thread, and give some thought as to what I want to do with my character(how to approach the time skip and all). Of course I wouldn't mind some of the other fellas taking the lead in game as well...you know, like you guys normally do...leaving my butt posts-upon-posts behind??

Hehe. ;)

Haha. I am feeling like I'm going to have to Rose 'marathon' it up of sorts....being that she caught up with everyone else(?).....and go through aaaaaaaaaalll of her posts, sooner than later...for a refresher!

Very cool :)

Heh. Rose was almost always basically concurrent with the Star City timeframe, she was just happening 600 miles away. Now that she's done her first arc, she can come to Star and actually interact with the main cast.

The best part about looking for visual reference on Rose is that her-- that is, Magda Apanowicz' --most recent show is "Continuum," which is not only filmed in but set in Vancouver, the same city that doubles for Star(ling) on "Arrow." She might as well be standing on an "Arrow" set in some of these pictures.

The worst part is seeing "Rose" kissing and cuddling "Robby" a whole lot. Which reminds me that I'm a terrible person.

Ah, fooey. Right in the gorramn feels.

So I thought, from your original profile and the pic with Robby.....for some reason....since I haven't seen Continuum(though I've always wanted to!)....that it was actually -- that photo -- depicting Fitz + Simmons(from Marvel's Agents of SHIELD of course!

...guess I was pretty wrong, hm? *lil' grin*

Love your girl though! She certainly has a *PRESENCE* about her...:)

I remember having a Todd McFarlane sweat shirt.....growing up....with The Amazing Spider-Man on it, just so as well. I was so upset when I outgrew that(or it got "old") -- whatever the case may have been.........

-- BUT --

...even *BEFORE* that! Spidey 'jammies'! Made to look like a COSTUME! *still getting goose bumps JUST thinking about them!!* Haha. Man. THOSE were my most favorite of them all...............and that was when "I" was a KID!!!*

....yeah. He WAS my favorite super hero growing up. Remy came unto the cusp, of....adolescence....;)

I don't blame you for mistaking one couple for another, there's a certain archetypal similarity!

Lunar actually suggested Magda waaaaaay back in the day when I was desperately looking for an actress with the right je ne sais quoi to represent Rose-- and this was the first "true" incarnation of Rose, LDoK!Rose. She's been "played" by other actresses since-- she doesn't have the same father across the dimensions, after all.

But how delighted was I when I first saw her show up on "Continuum" and gradually reveal character trait after character trait that reminded me over and over again of Original Recipe Rose. She'd aged perfectly into the part. And then this thread showed up, and I knew that the time was come for her to go full-circle.

"Presence" is totally the word.

That's awesome. Looks like your pal "Lunaramblings" was looking out for you long ago. Man he *REALLY* is a super hero.

I'm excited because next week, my friend and I are going to watch more about you and him and your 'tv show" -- Arrow and Flash and all! Been too long.....I've missed seeing you guys in action! Haha ;)

But yeah.....your Robbie and Fitz(from SHIELD both have short curly hair(or so it appears). Now if they're both English, I'll REALLY be floored! Hehe ;)

Upgrade!

A friend of mine who has some surpassing skill with Photoshop has gifted me with this masterpiece-- a mash-up of existing fan-art, combining Motoko Kusanagi's face with a Rule 63 Victor Stone-- a genderbent Cyborg from "Teen Titans."

This-- this is what I was going for. As much as I dearly loved the "Kimus Aran" art from my beloved "Dresden Codak," Kim is by nature a tiny creature and had not nearly the heft, the physical weight I was hoping for with Cannon-in-D.

Oh, look at this. You sexy thing.

Actually, I think Leo is Scottish, but close enough. ;D

Erik Knudsen, who "plays" Robby and portrays the young Alec Sadler on "Continuum," is actually Canadian.

Even though Magda Apanowicz is also Canadian (she's actually native to Vancouver, I've just discovered!), Rose traditionally has at least one British patient-- Ceri is usually a constant in her origin, and is Welsh.
