Star City- The Heroes of Tomorrow OOC

Theo and Adam are about two years older than Sara and Billy. They stayed back a year and we just a bit older when they started school anyway. So, about 14ish?

Hm.

See, it's funny. I just learned that in the "Arrow" spin-off comics that there was a terrorist called Khem-Adam that may have been executed somewhere around or between Season 2 or 3 of "Arrow." And I wondered if that was in time for him to be reincarnated as Theo and/or Adam. But I suppose that doesn't work after all.

It was a fun thought, though!

Unless one or both of them had a near death experience around that time, and he wormed his way into their souls. Or some such.

Also... GAH! Flashbacks fitting people into the timeline are GAH! lol. Ok. So now everyone knows who Ra's is. Next... hrm. I think Mistah J needs to recruit some help. Maybe.

That was a gorgeous frickin' flashback.

That whole post was brilliant. I couldn't scroll fast enough through my Gmail app!

THANK YOU! Been more than a little doubtful of my skills with the last few posts. Had a hard time letting myself post them. Afraid they were kinda sucky.

Maybe it helps that I watched this week's "Arrow" like barely an hour before reading it, but I could seriously see everyone's facial expressions. You even included that thing Willa Holland does when she's acting, the pauses between words, seriously, it was frickin' vivid.

Also, serious bonus points for including my beloved Connor Hawke.

...well, I'm bummed. Because I'm not going to be able to finish my Impulse post. I started it. Was gaining good momentum. Had to break that because we went out, to have din with the fam...and....I tried to come back, and 'nip' the rest in the bud.....only....my head is pounding now.

I'm going to have to finish the rest....maybe....hopefully...after work over the weekend, or so.

Really sorry about that, all. Pretty disappointed. :(

(as an aside, Robbie's funeral service stuff was....really....touching/saddddd's!; I'm liking this Vixen chicka too!; I *love* anything that "Lunaramblings" is writing....flashback or current. Poor Mister Kent! You are superb my friend :); I'm digging Jaime's solo-esque act/sorta-depressive personality gig he has going on. Feels very real!; lastly, I can appreciate the....'lovely spar' between Artemis and Venom! -- wanted to say nice job to everyone!)

Feel better, Lachy.

I may not be in pain like you are, but I know how it is to have a lingering illness mess up your process. Promise me you'll see a doctor if this keeps up.

Hang in there, dear. Your Bart is more than worth waiting for.

This seems like this could be relevant to a lot of people's interests, so I'm just going to leave it here.

Some much delayed Character Bios:

Heh. Well, it occurred to me that I hadn't posted a number of Bios. So, here goes.

Name: Ray Palmer

Alias: The Atom

Base of Operations: Star City, The Sub-Verse.

Alignment: (Good/Bad/Antihero) Good

Affiliations: JSA

Family/Friends: No immediate family, though he counts the JSA team as his closest allies and friends.

Bio: Ray began his crusade after the death of his Fiance. She was lost during Slade's attack on Star City. After which he spent considerable time building The Atom Suit. It wasn't until he met Felicity and they began a partnership that he was able, through much of her work, to get the suit functional. Initially at odds with The Arrow, his first outing as a hero went less than stellar when The Arrow disabled his suit with a throwing blade and left him sitting in a puddle utterly humiliated. The suit has undergone many revisions and changes. Now down to a belt and a molecular stabilization oversuit, he has reached what he considers peak performance.

Powers:Initially, he designed the suit to fly, project energy, use a variety of HUD-centric sensors and more, but after his run in with The Arrow realized that if he couldn't operate without so much gear, such a heavy and unwieldy suit would lead to his defeat. He began slowly streamlining his suit until an accident with the Dwarf Star Matter resulted in his shrinking to a great degree. He then pursued this route and discovered that it was potentially much more practical than his initial design. However, his first attempt at the Atom Belt, had shielding issues and the radiation from the Dwarf Star Alloy caused those whom wore it to become irrationally short tempered and instill a tendency toward violence.

The second iteration of the device would malfunction, leading him to spend a number of years in the Sub-Verse. A submolecular world in which many sentient beings existed. This sub-atomic world was dangerous, and one of the tribes would eventually bring him in, and treat him as their shaman. He would learn a great deal about martial combat during his sojourn to this world.

While away his company was lost, Felicity moved on, back to Ollie, and a number of other changes would occur. However, upon his return, he would champion the need for heroes like himself and The Arrow. With the fallout of the first incident at STAR Labs, and the Flashpoint Incident, there were more and more heroes and villians coming forward. He was instrumental in getting the Masked Vigilante Protection Act passed and would be a charter member of the Justice Society.

Weaknesses/Disabilities/Vulnerabilities: Ray's main powerset comes from his belt. Without this, he has no superhuman attributes. However, while wearing it, he can become so small that he can ride on sound waves, electrons, and other such structures. He has shown the ability to enter physical beings via osmosis and even use this to do microsurgeries. In addition, his strength and durability actually increase as a by-product of his shrinking. Requiring the mass of his form to transmute to something, it becomes more dense, his musculature becomes more compact, and he is able to use these to his advantage. He has strength enough to go toe to toe with some of the heaviest hitters he has ever met. And the durability to survive the resulting explosion of atomic fision. He has also trained with swords and other archaic weapons as a shaman in the sub-verse.

Name: Thea Queen

Alias: Ra's al'Ghul

Base of Operations: Nanda Parbat

Alignment: (Good/Bad/Antihero) AntiHero

Affiliations: League of Shadows/The Remnant

Family/Friends: Oliver Queen(Brother), Conner Hawke(Nephew), Malcolm Merlyn(Father), Roy Harper(Ex-Fiance)

Bio: Thea was born the youngest of Robert and Moira Queen's children. Years later she would find out that she was actually the daughter of mass murderer, Malcolm Merlyn. After many years of struggling, first with the deaths of Robert and Oliver, then Oliver's return, the death of Moira, and many other tragedies, Thea would reach a breaking point.

While breaking down over the death of her mother, Malcolm came to her. He trained her to become a warrior, an assassin, like himself. He then used her as a weapon. He used her to kill Sara Lance, the Black Canary. When she discovered this, Thea turned him over to the League, and then offered her life to the Right Hand of The Demon, Nyssa al'Ghul. Nyssa refused, calling her merely a weapon.

This however, would technically fulfill the prophecy that had caused Ra's al'Ghul had been seeking Oliver for. She would take his place, sacrificing her future for her only family. In her depression she chose to take on the mantle of the Demon's Head, freeing her brother from the obligation and ending a terribly bloody conflict that had already cost too many innocent lives.

Thea now leads the main core of the League of Assassins, which she has rechristened as The Remnant. Nyssa leads an opposing force, and the two have clashed several times. However, Thea remains in control. During this period, Thea discovered that at one time the League was more than killers. They were the shepherds of man. They sought to preserve all that was important to the dawning of mankind. Art, literature, anything and everything that was of any spiritual or emotional value, they sought to protect. And when need be, they would fight for their cause. From this beginning was born The League.

She has found new purpose, new reason, in the league. And through the league, discovered that she had a nephew. During the Flashpoint Incident, he was orphaned. She took him in and has taught him the ways of the League. Becoming her heir apparent.

Powers: Thea is a highly trained combatant, possessing skills in warfare, stealth, infiltration, seduction and a variety of other fields. In addition, she has access to The Lazarus Pits, granting her nigh immortality, and instantaneous healing from nearly any injury.

Weaknesses/Disabilities/Vulnerabilities: She is only human. As such she is limited in many regards as such.

Name: Connor Hawke

Alias: al'Saqr (The Falcon)

Base of Operations: Nanda Parbat

Alignment: (Good/Bad/Antihero) Antihero

Affiliations: The Remnant

Family/Friends: Oliver Queen(Father), Thea Queen(Aunt)

Bio: Born to one of Oliver's past romances, his mother was paid off by Moira Queen to leave and never return to Starling. She relocated to Keystone and was later a victim of the destruction of the Flash Point Incident.

After this, he spent a few months in a foster home until Thea discovered his existence. She sent Maseo to retrieve him and began his training as the heir to the Demon. For a decade, half his like, he has trained under the best warriors in the modern world. Not only learning martial arts, but also learning a variety of other skills. The finest tutors in all regards have spent years grooming him. While he may not be as bloodthirsty as past heirs, his skills are just as formidable.

Powers: Peak human conditioning, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Extreme skills in stealth, hand to hand combat, archery and investigative skills.

Weaknesses/Disabilities/Vulnerabilities: As a human, and a teenager at that, he is no more super human than any other normal man. However, he, like all those that follow Thea in The Remnant, have access to the Lazarus Pits.

Sorry for wandering into dangerous nomenclature territory, T.H., my bad. Just trying a new nick on for size, I'll shelve that one.

Heh. Deep-seated though Artemis' issues might be, misliking pretty lads isn't one of them.

Yes, Mirakuru is the correct rendering in The Flarrowverse, though it's inspired by Hourman's "Miraclo" from the comics.

Oh I am fine with Tersh and Tursh, and I will take Tert, eventhough in my motherlanguage Tert means Tart :D really no need to shy away from experimenting, I am quite a flexible and forgiving guy towards first, second even third time offenders lol

I leave you guys alone for like 6 hours and suddenly there's 2 pages of OOC to read

I really get a lot of inspiration to write from music (music is very important to my mental health) And I keep thinking as I read and reread our thread that this REALLY TOTALLY needs it's own soundtrack. It would be as long as the Stone's Greatest Hits album, but it would be really cool anyway. Anybody else feel like that?

BTW this is the song for the latest post.

I considered calling you "Terence Hanbury" considering your surname used to be "Knight," but I'm not sure how into Arthurian legend you are.

The adventure continues!

Heh. I SO want to call him 'Tart' from now on. I would so risk the ass kicking to do it in person, too. BTW Lit posted my post in half, so I added like a LOT to it.

It is either my worst, or best post to date I feel.

I absolutely feel like this. There's a reason that all of the posts involving Rose have a song as the title-- those songs are meant to be soundtracks for every post they show up on. Her playlist is voluminous!

You may notice that my one post as Jaime had a Beatles song as the title. If I'd gotten to keep writing him, I would have kept that up with the Beatles songs to see who noticed first. XD

Ever since reading Nevyn's post I have had the intro for Jotunn's Fimbulvetr in my head. But yeah, I seem to agree to the soundtrack thingy
