Star City- The Heroes of Tomorrow OOC

Yeah. Or she heard the police chatter with Renee. Either way works.

It occurs to me, belatedly, that Artemis might not actually have any idea of Nightwing's location. :/ Don't know where my head was at, I'm really sorry.

And it might be too late to change my post, because TertiusHuman has replied.

Should we handwave a retcon that Ollie gave Artie a strep during Tridoron's ride over? Or could we edit posts? What would be better?

Been meaning to ask, do you have any specific idea with Nightwing?

The Symbiote can be useful to keep a person alive for a while, like with Eddie Brock's ex-wife. OK yeah I know that the symbiote merged with her to completely heal her, but it kept her alive before that.

Just throwing that little seed up in the air

But there's variations on a theme, and I dig that too.

Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.

Come Hell or high water I WILL be posting tonight. Sorry for the delay. Retail during the holidays sucks

Believe you me, Lunar, I feel you.

I'm only getting a day off right now because I'm sick, but it's back to selling cell phones tomorrow whether my skull's still full of snot or not.

Everything's been quiet these days, don't feel bad.

Wombat9966, who briefly played our thread's version of Static, hasn't posted on Lit for almost 13 months.

I hope he's okay, wherever he is.

In the meanwhile, something that's wandered in and out of my brainpan for awhile is wondering what Wombat would have made Static's origin.

In the comics, Virgil got his powers when "The Big Bang" hit Dakota City, creating a number of metahumans-- very similarly to The Darkmatter Event that happened in Central City in "The Flash" and in our thread.

I wonder-- in our world, is Dakota City a suburb of Keystone-Central, and caught in the same event? Were Dakota's "Bang Babies" the result of the same darkmatter breach?

Or was it something else? Did Fort Rozz aliens detonate a gene-bomb over Dakota City, like in the "Invasion" storyline from the comics?

Or was it more verbatim to the original Milestone Comics' Dakotaverse? Experimental tear gas laced with Quantum Juice used to stop a massive gang-war outbreak?

Points to ponder, perhaps?

Sorry I haven't posted IC in a little while.

Just trying to figure out how best to play Sportsmaster's reactions to the glorious free-for-all that just went down in Slaughter Swamp Sanitarium.

I have a follow-up I want to do with Felicity's storyline, but I want a tiny bit more time to pass in-game first.

So this is interesting.

Apparently they're working on a superhero comedy set in The DCU where hapless, powerless insurance workers try to stay afloat in a world where super-powered battles cause serious property damage.

...also, perhaps not unexpectedly, they've finally given the official axe to that Titans series that they were working on over at TNT.

That's okay, that just gives us more free rein to play with that concept.

SILVER SURFER!!!

Suddenly I find that Venom is not such a cool alien to write anymore...nah I stick with schizophrenic tendencies. Heh

I am just waiting for an opportune time to connect communications, in the mean time, just take the silence as alien-human bonding time and sneaking about, beating up ninjas

YOU GUYS

...also, specifically, get this part:

Finally, it was revealed that an upcoming episode of Supergirl will take inspiration from Alan Moore’s classic Superman story “For The Man Who Has Everything,” a story that saw Superman living in a dream state where Krypton did not explode and he lived out his life on his home planet, with the show’s thirteenth episode, which will be titled “For the Girl Who has Everything.”

WE JUST DID THAT.

Brainswarm is a Tenth-Level Intellect, making her one of the smartest human beings in history.

She possesses the innate ability to generate electropsychic "sting" blasts that can disrupt and/or aggravate almost any lifeform without doing actual physical damage-- usually only an annoyance, but it still manages to annoy all but the most terrifying of foes. She can also shrink herself down to infinitesimal size-- usually the size of a small insect, but she can go far smaller, to the subcellular level if necessary. Additionally, she can at will sprout a set of buzzing dragonfly-esque wings that allow her to fly at great speeds.

However, Brainswarm's greatest invention is a variant on quantum-mirror technology that allows her, at the press of a button, to summon a veritable legion of her counterparts from alternate timelines. A vast array of alternate Brainswarms can rally to her aid, each as different as the universes from which they hail. Because the Brainswarms are not linked by a unifying consciousness, it can sometimes be difficult for Brainswarm to get her counterparts to cooperate with her-- but when they act of one accord, they can be as dangerous as almost any army.

Okay, I think all of my people are updated to the current timeframe now.

Except Vixen, I think?

Zet, where do we stand with that Mad Doctor heal-up?
