I've seen this picture before, but not for a long time.

I wonder if it didn't subconsciously inspire the concept of Brainswarm-- this idea of a version of Rose with pixie-wings.

How would Venom perceive Overwatch?

Like a mental contact or through the comm unit they still have with them?

I have something planned for the mental contact, that is why I ask

It's hard to say.

It's still mind-to-mind contact independent of the existing comms network. It's telepathy, like Venom might have experienced with J'onn, but it's a different "flavor," because it's powered by technology so advanced it might as well be magic.

When Barbara "Oracle" Gordon used this technique in the pages of Grant Morrison's "JLA" finale, Kyle Rayner said he liked Oracle's voice in his head better than J'onn's, so it could be that it's a kinder sensation, but that comment might just be because Kyle really, really liked the ladies and J'onn was only sometimes a girl.

I hope you don't feel that this diminishes Venom's hard work in establishing a terrestrial communications link, because I really didn't intend it to. I needed to get Felicity back in contact and that wouldn't have worked with the bad guys throwing up hardcore firewalls every three microseconds. (Also it establishes that we're not as alone in this fight as we might have been feeling and I think our characters, Felicity especially, might have been needing a fresh injection of hope.)

Indeed, those earpieces will still come in super handy if someone realizes there's a New Genesian technopathic signal in use and they use Apokoliptian tech to jam it.

Some 'closure' for that character at least in these very pages. I want to thank "Lunaramblings" for the opportunity to have been able to cast my 'spin' on Bart, and all you guys for the alotted -- albeit brief -- exchange when in fact I was participating!

..and of course Miss "ChasNicollette". You really do work miracles...no joke! :)






....as for Impulse...who knows -- he MAY be showing up SOMEWHERE....sooner than later! ;)

Perhaps interestingly: rereading your old posts, and then my attempt to mimic you, I'm struck by how similar Bart's speech pattern is to the comics-inspired Zolomon!Zoom I cameo'd in a flashback earlier. Maybe they have a related Speed Force condition?

In any case, I'm grateful to no end that Bart's exit met your approval, and I can't wait to write with you more in future.

There's not a doubt in my mind that Bart's absence will be keenly felt in this timeline, as your absence has been felt in this thread. But everything's connected, and lightning always strikes twice.

She's distracted by having god-tech plugged in her noggin, now might be an excellent time for them to come clean about it. Might not go down with Ollie so great, but better than if Felicity told him first.
 
Heh and here I hoped Artemis could tell Ollie first that there seems to be something wrong with Venom
