Star Wars: Return of the Sith

Kerra Shiran

The Jedi's voice brings her back to the present. "Give me your weapons and we will go, you have my word as a Jedi Master that no harm will come to you, Sith." Tension filled the air, as Kerra listens to the rest of the conversation. Before breaking the stale mate, she looks Tholin in the face. "Did Decima ever tell you, you're stubborn like a Wookiee." She then noticing out of the corner of her eye, that another Jedi joins them.

Kerra takes off her jacket & lays it on the ground. This exposes the blaster, that she was told not to bring. Taking off the holster, she places it on her jacket. Her saber joins it, she then takes hold of Tholin's saber before he could stop her. The cell recognizer in the handle sends a strong electrical jolt through her body. She ignores the pain, drawing on the force for strength, she drops it on the other items. Wrapping it all up in her jacket, she tosses it toward the Jedi. "Here are our weapons, now can we go." She collapses on the ground.

Daelon

Daelon was the first to react as the young woman collapsed, quickly crouching down beside her and placing a hand on her. It was then that he felt the surge of power coming from her, and his hand recoiled in surprise. So she was the other disturbance in the force that he had felt...? When he had seen her, he hadn't even concentrated, simply disregarding her as some sort of lackey, or perhaps the Sith's partner. Now, looking down at her slumped form, the phrase "Never judge a book by its cover" came to mind.
"She needs rest." Daelon said finally. "I can take her back on one of the speeder bikes, if it suits you, master..." he asked Kelson.

D'rack Fran'tok

Like a shadow, like the wind, D'rack sneaked up to the Shuttle, Storm Troops to his left, and to his right.

Just as D'rack makes his way to a rock just beside the Shuttle, he hears chatter, and then two men walking down the ramp, and away from the Shuttle.

"Now's my chance! D'rack looks to his right, then to his left, he sees a way around to the ramp, with out being able to be seen. They wont know I am here untill I take off.

D'rack sneaks around rocks, docking away when a Storm Trooper looks his way.. . Finaly, D'rack makes it to the Shuttle, to find no one o n board. Perfect... No one to get in my way... D'rack sits in the chair at the controls, and flicks a switch to close the ramp. He then powers up the engine and starts to take off... He can't play it safe, so he gets high enough to fly over Ob i Wan's house with the S-foils folding down, the Shuttle clams up in to the stars...

Kelson smiles and nods to Daelon, his right hand gesturing for several of the soldiers to take the weaponry.

"Very well then, Sith. You may come with me, would you prefer to walk or ride?"

Thinking suddenly, Kelson chuckles and turns back to the Sith and offers his hand in greeting.

"It has been many...many centuries since last our two...powers were not at war upon first sight. I am Jedi Master Kelson and this is my apprentice, Padawan Daelon. It is my honor to welcome you here."

Ooc: I suppose we'll at least get things set up.

Bailen looked out at the window. It was nothing more than a small moon to him, a bright green planet swimming with blue. Gentle and peaceful, and sparks of energy flowing from it every now and then.
For a moment he felt something like a Sith down there. It seemed too impassive to be so. With the sith energy came a lot of pain and anger, he felt nothing with this.
Shaking his head, he motioned for the plan to begin.
Several huge freighters were taken out of the Star Destroyer's hull. Half filled with driods, and half with storm troopers. It was a new batch of clones that they had just received a few months ago. Strong, agile, and loyal to a fault.
Ganor stood by his side, watching the ships as they made there way ever so slowly to the planet.
"Just a few hours now," he nearly hissed, "Get down to the second Cargo Bay. I want the ships ready when the attack starts. Those that choose to run will be find themselves in a hail of Tie Fighters."
"Yes, Master," he bowed, and left quickly.
If Viser was holding up his end, which Bailen was pretty sure that he was, than this was going to be the most spectacular defeat since the last run on Endor.

Raine

ANd it was settled. I was surprised at Kelson's decision to allow the two entrance to the base and pleased that the padawans held their nerves about them. I hadn't had any real doubts of either, but still, I was pleased to see how far they'd come. A year ago, Marius would have run at the man with his saber drawn, I was certain, and probably be cut in two, regardless of his skill (which was never quite so good as he seemed to believe it was).
I turned to Marius.
"Help Daelon get the girl to the barge. Kelson and I will wait here for Tholin to join us."

Tholin Mod, Sith Warrior

Kerra's actions caught me off guard, and she was uncouncious before I could react and stop her.
"Foolish child. Your impetuous, like your grandmother." I muttered to myself as the padawan checked on her.

"It has been many...many centuries since last our two...powers were not at war upon first sight. I am Jedi Master Kelson and this is my apprentice, Padawan Daelon. It is my honor to welcome you here."

I looked down at what I had never expected to see, a hand extended to me in peace, empty of threat and treachery.
Tholin Mod Carradas,as I said before. And the bundle of patience on the speeded is my granddaughter Kerra." I reach forward and take the jedi's hand.
" May this be a beginning of if not peace, then tolerence. I have some radical idea's I wish to offer your council, so yes, lets get going."

I wonder what Lord vader would have thought of this......

Squeezes Tholin's hand firmly, smiling genuinely...has a Sith so much as touched a living Jedi in the last millenia...? So many things this day...

Tynans eyes narrowed.

Something's wrong...

The Force throbbed around him... vibrated. His ability to sense impending violence and danger was a rare one, but one he had learned to trust. He felt it now.

He rose and crawled to the bed, waking the boy.

Luke's eyes popped open. he briefly thought about leaving the boy in the room, but quickly discounted it. If it became necessary to leave quickly, he wanted him nearby.

"Don't speak. Follow me, and tread lightly."

They pulled on their boots and left the room, Tynan leaving everything behind but the free-moving black tunic he wore. Again he cursed himself for allowing the Jedi Master to take his weapons. Fool! This is what you get when you trust!

When he got outside, he looked around. Everything seemed peaceful enough. He let his eyes drift skyward toward the night sky. Nothing but stars... wait...

One small group, no larger than a pinprick, moving. Not randomly... ships!

He released the Force that he had held in check, hiding his abilities, and stretched his senses skyward, reaching out to touch the minds on board the ships. They grazed a pilot... a shuttle pilot.

"Blast... Imperials," he whispered. Then yelled toward the nearest guard, pointing skyward. "Imperials!"

He didn't wait for any response. He was still weaponless. He grabbed Luke lifting him with the Force, and carried him behind him, racing for his ship. He might not have brought any weapons to the base, but that didn't mean he had none on his ship.

Including one, very special, lightsaber.

The master grimaced as his eyes looked skyward, nearly at one with Tynan back at the base. There was trouble. Why was this all happening so quickly? It made no sense!

"Raine, you will escort our guest back to the bunker, take the transport. You will have those guards. Daelon, go with them...take care of them. AND NO weapons. Let us keep this civilized."

His orders given, Kelson made a quick apology to Tholin, then leapt onto his speeder, firing off towards the base. With any luck, he would arrive in time to be useful.

D'rack Fran'tok

"Tie Fighters!" D'rack looked out the of the ship and saw 5 Tie Fighters moving in moving in on his possition. "Damn... How did they get here?"

D'rack looked at the ship controls, and ploted in a course to Coruscant. "I'll never stand a chance against those Tie Fighters.... Wait, what's that?"

D'rack looks out to his far right... Star Destroyer!!! That's how those Tie Fighters got here! D'rack flys th eshuttle left, going away from the Star Destroyer... I'll never out run those Ties... Incoming!

The Shuttle takes hit after hit, sheilds about to fail... "Now..." D'rack pulls a switch on the controls, and enters Hyperspace...

Daelon

After placing the girl safely in the barge, with the help of Marius, he turned to hear what Kelson had said. Nodding slowly, his eyes looked up into space as Kelson boarded his speeder bike. The sight of the foreboding ships just entering vision now was enough to make the padawan's knees weak. He had never seen real combat. He nearly cursed.
"Marius... our first real test." Daelon said grimly, turning to look at his friend. The two locked gaze for a moment, and Daelon could see everything in those eyes, and it was all the same as Marius could surely seen in Daelon's.
"No time to waste." Daelon finally said, the two breaking eye contact to see Raine and Tholin approaching, as Kelson took off at great speed on the speeder bike.
"Raine, if it is OK with you, I'll take the other speeder bike back." he said, gesturing to the vehicle he had brought down. "I shall stay with the barge, if that is your command." he said, silently awaiting Raine's response.

Darth Kane

Kane stood, looking ou t the Window of his chambours. Watching the Renegade fly through hyperspace. The ship looked huge, but it wasn't the biggest. But still, not many starships could hold it's on agaisnt Star Destroyers.

"Hmm, I wonder how the Troops on Tatooine are going?" Kane thinks as he walks out of his chambours, and into the turbo-lift. "I wonder if they let the Jedi go as asked of them?" The turb-lift, and Kane imerged and headed for the Bridge .

"Commander. Drop out of hyperspace...I wish to contact the Corrino." Kane orders the commander.

"Yes M'lord" The commander walks over to a desk of controls and flicks a switch bringer the Renegade out of hyperspace. "You may contact the Corrino now, m'lord."

Kane walks over to antoher control desk and flicks a switch, and stands back... A hologram of a Officer appears. "Has the Jedi left Tatooine?" Kane asks.

"Yes m'lord. We did everything you asked. The Jedi entered hyperspace only momments ago... He stole an Shuttle.. ." The hologram of the officer speaks.

"Very good Captian... You are to recall your troops from Tatooine , and meet the fleet at Coruscant, space B." Kane orders, as he looks at the small hologram.

"Yes m'lord... We will be there as soon as we leave Tatooine." The officer says, as Kane cuts of the transmission.

Turning to the comm ander, Kane oders. "Continue our way to Coruscant, commander..."

"M'lord, my I ask why you are gethering the fleet at space B? If we draw attantion there, the Rebellion is sure to investe...." The commander is cut off before he can finish.

"The Rebellion is not my concern... I sense something else.... Commander, before entering hyperspace, contact the Coruscant shipping bay, and order them to work faster o n the Avanger.."

"Yes m'lord." The commander walks over to a control desk as Kane walks down the bridge of the Renegade.

Viser/ Dartum

His mind had sensed it hours ago, before the Destroyer had even entered the ship, but he stayed asleep. Probably more for the sake of appearances than anything else. Dartum would play this out to a T, if he had anything to do with it.
Finally, a man rushed into his room.
"Dartum, please get up. The attack is about to start."
He nearly lept out of bed, rushing outside. The chaos looked hopeless. It was as if every single person had the rational part of their brain shut down, and were simply running around cause it was something to do. It was as if no one had ever been in a battle before.
Well, this was probably the truth. There hadn't been an official attack on rebel forces for more than 40 years. Just little skirmishes and things of that nature. These soldiers, even the older ones, were rookies.
He turned around, letting his mind shift to the surroundings. So many voices of terror filled, that it was hard to sense anything.
Where was everyone else? All of the Jedi, the padawan's. With the attack so close, they should be here, waiting.
There was strategy to go over, and contingency plans. What happened if the armies drove them back? How would they retreat? Where would they go? How would they get there...
Viser stopped himself. He was going crazy thinking about ways to help the Jedi. This was crazy, simply crazy. He knew his orders, but as time wore on, he simply couldn't being good and nice all the time. The skin itched where the crystal touched it. At times he wanted to chuck the thing as far away as possible, and... and...
In the distance he heard something coming. Good, finally some answers. Those armies weren't getting any farther away.

Raine

I turned to Daelon.
"Stay with the barge," I ordered, shifting my pointing finger between the two padawans. "One of you on either side. Both take speeders."
"Jedis Raine and Kelson," a voice said, coming from the comm-link on my belt. I raised the device to my head, pressing the button in.
"Yes?"
"We've detected several vessels coming toward the planet, sir," the voice returned. "Any particualr course of action we should take, or stick with our training? By the way, one of our visitors...correction, two of our visitors, seem to be going AWOL."
"Tynan," I returned, then continued without waiting for an answer. "Kelson should be there shortly. I'll be arriving soon after, with the padawans and a new acquaintance. Make sure some guards are prepared to keep him company."
I switched the device off and looked to Tholin. "No offense, but we must be careful, especially given the coincidence of your arrival with what appears to be an impending attack."
I motioned for him to climb on the barge.

Mogo

"Mogo," Orin said, his voice wavering...nervous.
"I see them," I responded, turning the ship. "I don't want to leave her, but...there's nothing we can do to help her against all those ships...We'll be creamed!"
"Can't we like...I dunno, set down and let her back onboard?"
I shook my head. "Once the boss gets and idea in her head, there's no turning her away from it. SHe intends to follow this Tholin character wherever he's headed. And we can't stay to look after her, not to fight against those..."
I aimed the ship for the atmosphere, hoping to slip past the incoming ships before they could take us out.
"Chart a course for..." I began, but Orin cut me off.
"CHart what? I don't know how to chart anything!"I explained quickly how to punch in the coordinates into the system computers while watching a few Tie fighters quickly take to our tail. Once the coordinates were in I punched the hyperdrive.
THe ship seemed to freeze in tme for a moment, then we jumped forward, seeming the rounds fired from the Tie fighters slow, then stop, then seem to move backwards, disappearing behind us.
The danger behind us, currently, I turned to Orin, seeing his eyes wide and his fingers still hovering over the buttons on the console where he'd punched the coordinates in.
"Relax," i said. "It's all behind us now, at least, for now it is..."
He looked at me, eyes still wide, then blinked and seemed to somewhat come out of it. He withdrew his finges and looked to me.
"WHat are those coordinates for?"
"Bespin," I returned. "We have some business to attend to there."

Tynan eached his ship, the Talon, and punched in the entry code to deactivate the traps. The boarding ramp lowered, and he ran onboard. He could take off, and help with the fight in the skies, but didn't think one ship, more or less would make much difference up there. Besides, he was fairly confident Raine would have made sure they had a planetary defense shield to repel attacks from orbit. That meant the enemy would have to land troops to fight, and take out the shield. Much like the old tactical lessons abouth the Battle of Hoth.

He released his hold on Luke, putting him on the ground, and opened up the small case he had stored in one of the aft lockers. Inside it was a silver cylinder, slightly over a foot long. It was old, but immaculately kept. He stared at it for a moment, hefted it, and turned for the boarding ramp.

Luke stood there.

"Get in the escape pod, and stay there," he instructed. "It made up of quantum armor. Practically indestructible. Even if they blow up the ship while you're sitting in it, you won't be hurt as long as you're in there. Lock it, and don't open it until I come for you. Understood?"

The boy nodded.

"Good. Go." He watched Luke run off toward the escape pod, before running from the ship and securing the hatch. As a last resort, he armed the deflector shields.

Tynan returned to the compound just in time to see another Jedi surveying the troops. Must be the newcomer. The question is, where is the Sith?

The troops were heading toward the forests, toward where the shuttle were landing, he assumed. The younger soldiers seemed confused, but the elder officers were calming them somewhat. Where were the Jedi?

Blaster fire erupted from the forest canopy, and he ran toward it. he flicked the lightsaber on, and heard the familiar snap-hiss followed by the hum of the blade as the green blade flared to life. He deflected what shots he needed to, only the ones that might hit him, back toward the white armored troops firing them. The base defenders open fire against the invaders as well.

That's when things really got interesting.

Moved up next to Tynan silently, his lightsaber repelling shot after shot...more out of reflex then any true need...these troops weren't aiming for him. Tynan's lightsaber pivoted as the master neared his side and Kelson smiled amiably as he parried the offhanded attack.

"I have your lightsabers...." he murmured, knocking down a shot that nearly struck Tynan's leg.

D'rack Fran'tok

Coruscant, the planet is one big city. The home-base of the Empire, where for a thousand years stood the Galatic Republic, under protection of the Jedi order - the keepers of peace. After the fall of the Republic, Surpreme Councaler Palpatine declered himself the Emperor... Palpatine... Darth Sidious... The Emperor... Killed by Darth Vader...

Yes, Vader... Once Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi turn Sith... Palpatine's right hand, two Sith ruling theempire, lead by hate... In the ed, Vader became Anakin, and killed Palpatine... But now, there was a new threat... Greater then Palpatine... D'rack knew it - he sensed it... But couldn't see what that threat was... He would soon find out..

D 'rack, opened his eyes alarmedd of the beeping on the control panel... "I am here... No Jedi has been here for, over 40 years..." D'rack pulled a switch bringing the Shuttle out of hyperspace, and back to normal space... Coruscant was stragth ahead of the Shuttle, but... Something to the right cought D'rack's eye... "Imperal Shipping Bay..." D'rack looked closly at what was being built, but what was it?
"That looks like a... no, can't be... it's a Super Star Destroyer!" A beep went off, alarming D'rack. Looking at the controls he look ed at the screen... "What is it now?... A ship coming out of hyperspace..."

Star Destroyer Corrino moved back into normalspace... It had followed the Shuttle.. It was so close to the Shuttle, the engine noise hur D'rack's ears... "What are they doing here? ... There was no way they could know where I was going!..." D'rack looks down at the controls. "No sheilds! Blast them Tie Fighters, they toke out my sheilds!"

"This is Captian of the Imperial Star Destroyer Corrino. You are to po wer down your sheilds, and prepear to be boarded. Come peacefuly, or die!" Came a voice from the control panel...

"It was a trap!"

Tynan nodded at Kelson without looking at him.

"Do you mind, then?"

Tynan held out his left hand, and pulled one of his blades from Kelson's belt.

"I'm afraid I'll have to wait to retrieve rhe rest," he shouted at the Jedi Master. "If they hinder you, drop them. They can be replaced if needed." He spun, angling the green blade on a downward sweep, knocking two blaster bolt to the ground. His own blue blade ignited upon hitting his left hand, and he brought it together seemlessly with his right hand, spinning them independantly of each other.

Beside him, the Jedi Master blocked shot after shot toward his targets, seemingly effortlessly. Tynan worked his blades to complement Kelson's, and was surprised, and pleased that the Master trusted him enough to let him.

Suddenly, a soldier to the left of Tynan went down, followed quickly by another. Tynan followed the direction of the shots, and saw their origin. A small cluster of stormtroopers operating a tripod mounted blaster cannon.

Tynan screamed a warning to Kelson, and charged the emplacement, his blades spinning. The Stormtroopers saw him and locked on, but too late. The two blasts they got off were deflected, and he brought his green blade down on the end of the cannon, splitting it. He brought the blue blade across the chest of the Stormtrooper who had been firing, cutting him from armpit to armpit, killing him. Then he saw the small red light flash.

Jedi Killer...

He slammed a Force shield in place as fast as he was able, but not enough to blunt the entire force of the dummy switched explosive. He felt sections of his tunic burn away, followed by the scent of burnt flesh. He shunted the pain away, using a Jedi technique, immediately. The blast wasn't large, but the Jedi Killers didn't need to be. Still he flew backward about ten feet, landing on his back, slightly dazed.

"Tynan! Men, get that Jedi back to the compound! I got you covered!" yelled Kelson, running next to the fallen Jedi to deflect laser blasts for the other men. There was more coming, he could sense it even now, despite all these men...

"HURRY UP! We haven't much time..." finished Kelson in almost a whisper, deflecting another laser beam back at the storm troopers.

OOC) Sorry for the shortness of my posts lately, I've been posting around 2am and I'm about unable to figure out what the a...was that really the b key?...looks like...

Tholin Mod, Sith Warrior

I look at the jedi, her face showing concern for the padawan's & soldiers. Where in the hell had all these imperial troops come from?
" I understand your concern, but these troops did not come with me. Please, let us go now, I wish to get my granddaughter somewhere safe, and you must understand how naked I feel without my lightsaber." I give her a small smile at my last statement.
The barge starts back to the base, moving at a fast speed. I relax & open my senses up, looking for trouble. I sense something on the edge of my range, something dark. Then just before it hits I sense the stormtroopers ahead
" BANK RIGHT!! " I scream, then the barge is hit by a blast from a AT-ST, its camoflauge screen winking out as it fires.
I am thrown from the barge, and roll with the fall, coming up in a defensive stance.
Stormtroopers pour from the forets tward us. The troops open fire, & the Jedi blocking blasters when they can.
Bolts fly all around me, & I block a couple with my hand, harmlessly asorbing the energy. Then I notice the At-ST lining up to blast the barge
"NO' I scream, & reach out with the force, slamming it with a blow of the force. The side of it crumples, and it falls on its side, the crew compartment collapsing when it hits.
More bolts hit around me. It was time to do something about these stormtroopers. I extend my arm & fire off my Lanvarok. The alchemically treated disks cut through armor and flesh like butter, and soon most of the troopers around me are down. Then another explosion hits, & I notice a familiar bag fly past & hit the ground. I pull it to me , & pull out my lightsaber. I ignite it, & the two purplish -black blades humm to life.
" Master Raine, I apologize for the diplomatical fopah, but I believe that for the talks to continue we still have to be breathing."
I then join the fray in earnest.

Bailen

"Sir, just as you anticipated, most of the men are already engaging the Storm troopers to the north."
Bailen nodded, nothing close to a smile hitting his face. He would rather save the pleasentries for the next phase of his plan. Far, far off into the future.
"Are the droids ready?"
"Yes sir, they landed right after the troopers, and as far as we can tell, unnoticed by the rebels."
The Sith opened up a channel to Ganor, who at this moment was orbiting the space.
"Get ready, once the rebels realize how outnumbered they are, they will seek to escape. Blow up every ship except those carrying Jedi. That is an order to everyone."
"Yes, Master. Some bad news though, a small ship already made it though. They jumped before we could get a lock. They must have left when they first found out about the attack."
"It is no matter. Take out all forces except the Jedi. Do it quickly."
He closed the channel. With a sinister look in his eye, he gave the final order.
"Tell the droids to advance. I want them on stealth mode until they are detected, then show no mercy. Laser fire, cannon fire, hit them with everything they've got."
The man punched in a few keys, and red lights blinked up all over the place.
"There we are sir."
The beginning of the end.

Dartum

It was like a blind mouse running a gauntlet. He twisted and turned. Twice he raised his hands, almost expecting a light saber to be there, to reflect shots. It wasn't though, in fact, it just gave him huge black welts all over his arms.
Something he really didn't like at all, whether he was Sith or Jedi.
Viser finally ducked, running over to the fallen man, and the other one protecting him. He didn't care much for either of them... and yet he did. At this point, he wanted nothing more than to cover them as they both made it to safety.
Swallowing his complaints about the crystal once again, he ducked down low. Laser fire crisped the bushes behind him.
"There aren't very many ways out of this alive, but if we can manage it, you'll need everyone to help. Now, I can help you, if I had my weapon."
He ducked again, as another blaster failed to take his life.
"Trust me," his eyes blazing into the man's own, a harsh honesty in them. Despite his orders, and years of hatred, at this moment, he wanted nothing more than to help.

Kelson's left hand detached itself from his easily whirling lightsaber to unhook a lightsaber from his belt, hopefully Dartum's, which was tossed back to the Sith.

The Master remained cool before the onslaught of lasers, deflecting shot after shot as he watched to ensure ther were no more big weapons yet.
