Star Wars: Return of the Sith

Darth Kane

Kane's chambor was large, and had a look of Royality. Even though he wasn't royality, he got to where he was by using the force to kill any who stood in his way, and finally made it to where he was today.

In charge of 55% of Coruscant, still that was not enough to rech his goals. Oh no, there are still others who have even more Imperal trrops... Kane, however, planed to change that...Plains, withen plains, withen plains. Kane will have a new apprentice, and he was on his way...

The door to Kanes chamboursopen, and i n walked 4Storm Troopers, two holding D'rack, the other two were there to make sure D'rack was no trouble.

"M'lord, this is the Jedi the Corrino captured on it's return to Coruscant... He was armed only with this..." The Storm Trooper handed over D 'rack's Lightsaber to Kane.

"Very good... Leave us..." Kane orderd to the Stom Troopers. They turned and left the room...

Kane, walks over to D"rack and uncovers his face... "So, you are the one who killed Shan... That is one thing I no long e r hav e to do..." Kane turns around and walks to his chair. "I sense the power i n you D'rack..." Siting in his chair facing the window, Kane goes on. "You have a lot to learn still..."

"I know enough!..." D'rack cuts Kane sort.

"I'll be the judge of that!" With out turning around, Kane can sense D'rack sneaking closer. " Co me here. Look out there, tell me what you see..."

"Impossiable!.... Death Star! No, it can't be!" D'rack falls to his knees with his face in his hands....

"Yes, Not e ven the Jedi can stopo me now...I sense the fear in you... You know you can't win." Kane says with a smirk. "My Death Star is only 28% completed. By the time any one finds out about this, it will be completed.... And you at my side will rule the universe..." Kane chuckles. "The Rebelion is being crushed as we speak... By a rival of mi ne. And soon , I will crush them... Fools don't know they destroying their last hope..."

"I'll never join you!" D'rack stands up and faces Kane.

"That is what Luke said to Palpatine so many year s ago... Luke was young, and neive, he was blinded b y Obi Wan, the Dark Side is stronger... It is the way..." D'rack cut Kane off...

"I am not Luke, I am D'rack, Jedi Master, and keeper of the peace. I will stop what yo..."

"Don't be a fool D'rack, look around you! You have no way out of this... You will join me, or die!"

D'rack reached out with his hand, and used the force to bri ng his Lightsaber to his hand... Pushing the button, the Lightsaber humned to life, and before D'rack could strike, Kane pushed D'rack with the forcel back into a wall. "Foolish mistakes lik e that, will cost you your life, D'rack."

"The only mistake was you letting me live!" D'rack reached out with his hand and let lose a large bolt of lightning, throwing Kane to the floor... "Where is theattack on the rebels?"

"A Jedi, using Dark Side powers? How could thi s be?" K ane s aid w ith a hint of fear in his voice.

"Tell me now !" D"rack hit Kane with another bolt of lightning.

"There at Mached V. You'll never get there in time to do anything. And what can you do to help? You don't even have a ship." Kane said as he stood up, knowing all to well that at the moment, D'rack was i n charge.

"I'll take this fleet of Star Destroyers..."

"What? And leave the Death Star open forz attack!? Don't be a fool!" Kane yelled.

"I do not care about the Death Star!... "Besides, who will attack?" D'rack said as he watched Kane. "You, Darth Kane, must now know, that I have mastered both the Light and Dark side of the force... With a thought, I can kill youl... f you want to live, join me as my apprentice." D'rack tells Kne, showing a hint of pride in his voice.
"Tell the troops who their new master is, and tell them to set a curse for Mached V." D'rack orders Kane.

"Yes, my master, it is best if you come with me." Kane says with a bow as he exits the door. "Soon, I will kill you and retake my place... But for now, I do as you command."

Two soldiers helped Tynan to his feet, his left arm hung at his side, extinguishe blue lightsaber grasped in his hand. He still had use of it, but it ws maybe at 50% mobility. His right arm, however... he brought it up in time to deflect blaster fire raining down on them. So many troops. They must be outnumbered at least five to one. There's no way the base could hold against them. He backed up, with the soldiers, but refused to leave the Jedi Master.

"Careful Kelson," he whispered, using the Force to propel his voice forward. To kelson it would sound as if he were whispering in his ear. "Some of the troops have Jedi Killers." He blocked another beam, and sent a second back at the soldier who fired it, taking him full in the chest.

He turned to the soldiers. "This is far enough, cover Master Kelsons retreat."

The soldiers took cover behind one the the outposts building, and opened fire at the troops near Kelson. The Jedi Master, his lightsaber a blur, deflected any that got too close. But he was out there alone...

"Fall back to our position, Master," he sent out with the Force. "We'll cover you."

He grinned to no one in particular. "Otherwise you'll force me to come back out there... I'll not leave you alone."

Dartum

(Where'd the Padawan's go? I'd like to see them fight)

The green saber shot to life. He looked at it curiously, knowing it wasn't his, but at this point he didn't care. His heart was contempt in simply having something in his hands.
He crouched down, looking at the impending forces near him. This was going to be a brutal assault if they stay here much longer.
Looking ahead, he saw a huge attack tank gliding several feet above the air, heading right for them. Now it was time to show a little initiative.
He flung the saber at the vehicle.
The handle all but disappeared, and the only thing anyone could see was a green circle spinning heading towards the tank. It was down low enough so that it cut in two any trooper that was in it's way. In the end, they simply jumped out of the way, only losing arms or having their chests slashed.
His hand was still outstretched, as he controlled the blade with the force. He gave it power, so that it kept flying long after it should have dropped.
With a sharp curve, the blade turned perpendicular , straight up and down as it reached the tank. It disappeared in the front metal plate, only to be revealed flying straight up at the back.
With a wide arch, it returned back to him.
The tank seemed unphased for a moment, continuing on it's path towards them. Just as he caught the handle of his saber though, the entire thing blew to pieces, sending a rain of fire and parts all around him.
He didn't have time to show the victory inside him however, as another wave of laser fire came at them. He moved closer to Kelson, making sharp moves each time he pinpointed on a specific shot.
"This is your base, what should we do?"

"We wait...they aren't all yet in range of the defense cannons...we have a pair on either side just ahead of them right now. I want to lure them in a bit closer then the cannons and base defenses will activate," said Kelson, smoothly deflecting a pair of blaster shots into a trooper.

With a grin that bespoke much of this Master's personality, Kelson said to Dartum, "That will be a good show."

Tholin Mod, Sith warrior

Lightsaber in hand I turned and faced the stormtroopers coming at me. It seemed like dozens were charging me, blaster bolts flying all around me as they came forward.
So I released my hold on my anger and hatred, released the barrieres on the dark Side I had been holding in.
Power flooded through me, the Dark Side a torrent of rage, and I focused that rage, and became what I was trained to be, a instrament of death.
I moved through the stormtroopers like a cold wind, leaving blood and death in my wake. My anger guided me, and the bodies continued to pile up where I went. Eventually, I came out of my Force rage, my hand buried in the body of the stormtrooper who's heart I had just ripped out. I looked down at the black nimbus surrounding my bloody hand, & released my hold on the Dark Side.
I turned to the Jedi Master, Raine, & looked at her, waiting to see what she would do. I had just slaughtered over 20 stormtroopers, and revealed just how dangerous I could be.

Raine

As the barge was hit, I saw the Sith disappear over the side and leapt, following his lead in the other direction. The soldiers dove off as well, landing less gracefully than myself and our new companion. I rolled into a crouch and drew my weapon, realizing then that the bag Kelson had left the man's weapons in was not in sight.
Something to worry about if it became an issue. I had faith that, if it came down to it, myself and the two padawan's could dispatch of the man, without issue I was certain. Skilled warrior or not, three against one was three against one.
Besides, I wasn't considering this man an enemy just yet. Though I doubted I would allow him to continue on to the base. I stayed my position, noticing Marius returning on the speeder but not noting where Daelon's position was.
I was more comfortable with Marius' skills anyway, not for any reason other than that I knew exactly what he could do, whereas with Daelon, skilled as he was, his exact capabilities weren't so clear to me.
"Raine," Marius began, as he neared me and came to a halt, the speeder still resting a few feet above the ground. "Are you alright?"
"Yes," I returned, deflecting a few bolts back toward their sources, knocking the troopers down. They were everywhere all of a sudden, storming from the trees. I didn't bother to count them all. "Scan the area, get a rough estimate of what we're dealing with, and for god's sake, be careful!"
He nodded, drawing his own saber and deflecting a few bolts from atop the vehicle.
A second later, he was taking off for the trees, a large group of troopers standing between him and them.
I hoped he would do well to stay out of trouble. The numbers were too intimidating for me not to worry.
I thought for a moment, that we should stay where we were, attempt to fight them without luring them back to the base. It made sense just then that the arrival of this Tholin was a lure to draw the Jedi here out into the open for the troopers to deal with. I glanced toward the man, seeing him take toward a group of troopers, slicing body parts and whole bodies alike, tearing through the men without mercy.
Perhaps not. A Sith meant for that purpose would be turning on us by now, not attacking his own kind.
When his eyes met mine a moments later, I was convinced that he wasn't with these enemies.
I was also certain that I was not planning on taking the man toward our base. We needed an ally, not a wild card that could turn on anyone.

Marius

I took off, leaving Raine behind to deal with Tholin and the immediate danger of the storm troopers and wondering where Daelon had gone. He may have been right there for all I knew. My attention was focused on my instructions and the enemy, not those I knew to be allies.
As I neared the group of troopers, they opened fire. I dodged to the right, leaving many of the blasts flying harmlessly by, and deflected the few that still came near me back at them. A few fell, but the others continued their attack.
Another group had filtered from the trees to my right, leaving nearly forty of them altogether, twenty or so in each group. The second group opened fire as well. Thinking quickly, I dodged between the groups speeding up and turning them to face one another. Several had fallen, their blasts skimming by my tail and finding other troopers, before they ceased fire, cutting their numbers nearly in half.
I dodged back into the trees, shifting among thier trunks to get a guesstimation of just how many waited back there. It seemed most of them were already in view.
Slipping by their guard (apparently, they felt we would be stupid to go behind thier lines and had become rather lax) I took advantage of the opportunity to use the blasts on the speeder to take out whatever targets I could find in a hurry.
By the time I'd exited the trees on the other side of the battlefield, having made a horseshoe around our position, I must have finished more than thirty of the troopers, hit-and-run style.
As they advanced on Raine and Tholin's position, as well as the others (Beegas and the ramining soldiers, now numbering only eight) they fell here and there, some to blaster fire from the soldiers and others from deflections of thier own rounds. I skimmed past their front line, not getting too close to dodge any attacks, and blasted at them with the speeder's blasters again, taking a few more down before returning to Raine and Tholin.
"We're looking at possible four hundred in the area, but it doesn't appear as though they are headed directly for us," I explained, "It seems they have the base in mind as a target. We're just in the way."
SHe nodded, glancing distrustfully toward Tholin, then back at me.
For the time being, our stand would be here, as we shouldn't take Tholin back if not necessary, and the barge was destroyed, leaving us without the vehicles to carry so many.
Two tops on each speeder...?
That's eight total.
"See how much more damage you can do without getting too close, and see if there's a weakness in thier defenses."
I nodded, then took off again.

Meamwhile...

Cloud City, Bespin

"And where is our package?" The man in the cloak asked. He'd stood silently, not so much as looking at the girl to the extent that she wondered if he realized who she even was.
"It will be here, I was promised." SHe returned, not afraid fo the man, though she held her hand close to the weapon at her waist. She knew what he was, and he couldn't be trusted.
"How much longer?" He asked. "I grow impatient."
The guards standing around him shifted impatiently. He'd come alone, but a Sith alone is a dangerous foe still.
They wanted this business over with, and this man gone from their lives forever.
"It will be here," she promised, "Just not on schedule. Or I will deal with the winged little scoundrel myself."

Tholin Mod, Sith warriorI

I watch as the other Jedi moves up on the speederbike. They talked for a few minutes, sending a few glances my way. Then the other Jedi rode back off, leaving me & Raine together with the surviving soldiers.
I slowly walk to her, deactivating my saber, & turning off the cell recognizer in the handle. I also remove my Lanvarak from my arm. About 5 feet from her I stop.
" Once again I do apologize for taking up my weapons without your permission. I have deactivated the trap on my lightsaber, so it is safe to touch." I then placed my weapons back on the ground.
" May I go check on my granddaughter now?"

Tynan watched, and waited. Kelson made no move to join him.

"I'll be damned if i sit in the sidelines watching," he whispered.

He shunted Force energy into his wounds, peeling the pain away. It would hurt like a bastard later, and would now require submergance in a bacta tank to heal, but at least he could fight.

Careless fool! Allowing yourself to be injured... what were you thinking?! You're no green Padawan to rush in foolishly...

He could feel his anger rising, but this time, made no effort to suppress it.

Always the Empire. Always them destroying everything, everyone. Well, not today. Not TODAY!!

"Seargent, stay under cover, and pick off anyone who gets past me," he said, his voice cold as ice.

He rose to his feet, lightsaber held out before him, the Force filling him with power and purpose.

Two Stormtroopers stepped out before him, but never got the chance to raise their blasters before they were enveloped in Force lightning, throwing them backward. Three more were crushed under an uprooted tree. His lightsaber blades deflected any shots that they managed to get off before he crushed them. He as one with the Force, both Light and Dark, and it filled him with its fury. he could fell it flowing through his body like a rapids under his skin, its energy sparking off his flesh.

Five more troopers went down as he marched forward, grim determination etched on his face.

He was Death itself, and he would make them all pay...

Dartum

Lightening.
Had he just seen lightening? Dartum looked back, unsure as to where that had come from. For a moment, a brief moment he could have sworn he saw Master Bailen behind them, sprouting powers to stop the troopers.
A shot in the arm made him cry out in pain, as his visison finally faltered to see, not a Sith Lord, but someone else. Not exactly Sith, but far from the glory of a Jedi.
With blood running down his arm, he had no time to figure out who exactly this man was; for the time being he posed no threat, so Dartum wouldn't worry about him.
He turned back to the overwhelming fire that was coming as the troopers, and their vehicles got closer by the second.
"Droids!" The voice was rampant, but far off. A hoarse desperate voice of a man who had just seen his end.
"Droids, coming from the South... hundreds of them..."
As he said this, two droids shot overhead, holding on to Staps.
(Think of them as giant Pogo-sticks that can fly and have huge double phasers on the front, they arein Jedi Power Battles, if you'd like to see one)
Phaser fire shifted to the ground, as Dartum flung himself to the side to avoid them. This was getting to be a little too overwhelming.
He just hoped those cannons had enough firepower to hold off both Storm Troopers and droids.
Barely a half hour into the fight, and Dartum was already thinking of a tactical retreat. Bailen might have overdone it, or maybe he just had that much confidence in the Jedi's abilities.
Killing another couple of troopers -not that it helped much, two seemed to emerge for every one he destroyed- Dartum held the ground for the time being.
This was Kelson's battle, not his. All he can do is follow orders.

Raine

THe man was making an attempt...no, there was something else going one here.
To place his weapons on the ground, within striking distance (I could cover the five feet within seconds, using the force, possibly within one). He was showing trust.
"Take up your weapons, and see to the girl, wherever she is," I responded. "But if you make so much as a move toward one of mine..."
I trailed off. He knew what I meant. I doubted he wanted a conflict any more than I, but he knew I wasn't afraid. That was something.
"Raine!" The voice behind me. I deflected blaster rounds, pacing backwards toward it as Beegas moved forward to meet me.
WHen we met a few seconds later, he knelt and fired repeatedly at the troopers that advanced. We'd hardly slowed them. Their numbers gave them little doubt to their victory, and doubt would make a terrific ally just then.
"We'll have to retreat," I said. "We'll be destroyed in time. We're lucky we're alive now."
"Not all of us are," he replied. "My men are down to five, and two are wounded. I've contracted base and had them send more speeders out by remote. The base is already under intense attack."
"How long until they get here?"
Minutes, but it might be too long," he responded. I knew what he meant. The troopers seemed to form an inpenetrable wall before us, and behind them...was that...droids?
I was beginning to wish I'd kept Marius nearby.
The fight grew more intense as the seconds passed by, but soon, Marius rode back into view, chased a small group of soldiers on a battle barge. As they fired at him, he dodged and deflected, riding the speeder with his body half-turned.
"Beegas," I began, but didn't have to finish. As Marius sped near, turning to lead the enemy away from us, he took quick aim and began to fire, hitting a few of them with blaster rounds. I was about to head toward them, hoping to draw their attention away, when Beegas scored a head shot on one and he fell, and a moment later, an explosion erupted, sending the barge into the ground as ours had gone just a short while earlier.
"What the hell...?" Beegas asked.
"Jedi killers..." I responded. "Lucky this time, but next time...?"
"Retreat on foot," Beegas ordered his men. We began to pace backward, Marius dodging back and forth between us and the enemy, picking away at thier front line with the speeder blaster. Between his efforts and our own, we still barely left a dent.
Minutes passed that seemed lie hours, the enemy drawing closer as we tried to move away, before one of the remaining soldiers shouted, "The speeders are coming."
I glanced back, seeing six speeders moving toward us without riders. They slowed to a stop as they neared Beegas.
I hesitated only a moment before yelling to Tholin. "C'mon! Time to move!"
I climbed on behind Marius, leaving the others to take the new vehicles.
He slammed us into motion.
The race was on...

Mogo

"Not bad," i commented, proud of my teaching abilities. Orin was a good learner afterall, but I felt my teaching was the part that really paid off.
"And this is all there is to it?"
I shrugged. "Just the basics. When things get hectic...well, they're all kinds of tricks. I'll teach you them in time. For now, it's enough that you're flying..."
He nodded, his eyes locked on the space in front of him.
"That's it, huh?"
"Yep," I replied, looking out the window at the planet ahead. "Bespin. I hope it's worth what was promised. Let me bring it in and we'll get to business. Landing is another lesson altogether."
As the voice emmitted from the transmitter, requesting information on my business in Cloud City, I talked and haggled and got permission to land.
Slowly, I brought the vessel toward the landing pad.

Waiting Within Cloud City...

"Sir," a voice announced though a com on the wall. "It appears your delivery has arrived."
The man nodded, barely moving his head, then looked to the girl, his black hood still barely revealing his face, only his chin, dark skin with a touch of stubble.
He might have been hansome once, the girl thought. A shame really, what becomes of them. No smiles, not laughs. The face becomes almost like stone."I shall go," she agrees, mostly pleased to leave the room. Inside the suit, she's sweating like crazy, but she doesn't dare remove so much as the helmet. One thing her occupation has taught her is that identity is a sacred thing, and one which can be taken from you if it isn't respected.
"Take some guards with you as well. It is of the utmost importance that the package be safe." The man said, his voice calm.
She nods, then exits as several guards follow her. Once in the hall, she walks silently, a droid walking quickly up next to her, moving quickly but rather clumsily for a droid, it's gold paint glistening in the overhead lights.
"That guy gives me the creeps," one of the guards muttered. The others mumbled thier approval.

Daelon

OOC: Sorry for my absence, guys - I really wish I had been here for the start of the battle!

IC: The first few moments had taken Daelon off guard - the troops had seen to appear out of nowhere. He sped up a little on his speeder, blasting down one of the droids with the twin guns mounted on the front of the vehicle.
Damn it! Where the hell did they come from? he thought, but before he could react, he heard the sound of an explosion behind him, which rocked the speeder and sent it out of control. Daelon's eyes grew wide for a moment, before he quickly leapt up, standing on the seat now, and as the speeder neared a tree he grabbed a hold of a branch, his eyes following the speeder as it careened into a tree with an explosion. He heard the sounds of troopers below him, and he closed his eyes for a moment, seeking inner peace, before letting go of the branch, whipping out his lightsaber and igniting the weapon as he did, falling directly onto one of the enemy troopers, who fell to the ground, his now-broken helmet doing nothing to protect him from the padawan's lightsaber. But there was no time to celebrate, and Daelon whirled around, quickly deflecting two blaster shots back into their senders.
His thoughts gave way to his instincts as he ran through the battlefield, desperately searching for Raine, or Marius, or someone else who seemed friendly. But all he found were corpses, or enemies, who he dealt with without any thought. After what seemed like an eternity, he threw himself into a ditch, taking a moment to compose himself. His lightsaber had cut through the troops like butter, but how long could he continue the assault? Already his muscles were beginning to tire.
His thoughts were interupted as he heard the sounds of speeder bikes, but by the time he had come to the top of the ditch to see who they were, they sped past with incredible velocity.
Desperately he searched for the identities of the rider, and his heart sank when he saw both Marius and Raine. The only help he had.
Gritting his teeth hard, until he thought they were going to break under the pressure, he leapt out of the ditch, automatically having to deflect a blaster bolt away and then confront one of the troopers head-on.
At this rate, they must either be stupid... or have enough numbers to throw lives away...
He blocked the evil thought away as he cut through the trooper, jumping over the next opponent and sprinting after the speeders, desperately trying to block shots from all around with his lightsaber.

Tholin Mod, Sith Warrior

I picked up my lightsaber and ran to the barge. Reach my hand out I yanked back air, and the door was ripped off of the barge and thrown yards away. I went inside, and quickly located Kerra, uncouncious & bleeding slightly from a bump on her head.
I had thought I was angry, but now I knew rage. Not the hot kind of anger, which makes one reckless, but a cold, calculating rage. I picked my granddaughter up & made my way outside.
Blaster bolts rained down around me, & I noticed that the stormtroopers were now supported by droids, very familiar droids too. Drawing on the force I began to run after the jedi, my form blurring with the speed I was using now. It wouldn't last long, but maybe I would get far enough to keep Kerra safe.
Then they would know the danger of angering a Sith Lord.

D'rack Fran'tok & Darth Kane

The Death Star, a huge weapon, which has enough fire power to destroy a planet... It was the biggest of the 3 Death Stars, the other 2 destroyed. . This one years away fro m being a threat to any one.

"Come." D'rack said with out looking away from the window.

"You called for me, D'rack." Kane spoke with a bow.

"Why hasn't the fleet left yet?" D'rack asked as he turned to face Kane,.

"A problem with the hyperdrives... The shippi ng bay, made an error to all 4 Star Destroyers... The problem is being workedx on as we speek." With a sigh, Kane continues... "We will be under way to help your Rebelion soon..."

"No... We will not make it in time... Not now after this problem with the hyper drive... Though, tell me how long before the Avangher is ready?"

"A year and a half, D'rack... Why?"

"That, is not soon enough... I want 50% of the men working on the Death Star, to be transported to construction of the Avanger..."

"But, that will slow the construction of the Death Star... As is, it will take to lo..." Kane is cut off.

"The Death Star means nothing to me..." D'rack says as he looks back out the Window. "Wh en is the next lot of Clones ready?"

"In days... They are construction workers this lot... I ordered thm one year ago, they'll be ready to work as soon as we get them... "

"Good, I want 90% of them to work on the Avanger... The o ter 10% on the Death Star." D'rack looks on at the Death Star... "I want you, to take the Corrino and go to Kamino and greet our new Clones... Check up on our next shippment of Storm Troopers... I have a plain for them ... Once down, return here, to Coruscant, and watch over the construction of the Avanger and Death Star... The other two Star Destroyers are to remain here, and porotect the constructions...." Loo king back at Kane, D'rack continues... "I'll take the Reegade to help the Rebelion"

Daelon

Daelon slowed a little through exhaustion; the others had long since been out of eyesight. He turned to face his attackers, and was horrified to see a group of droids joining them. He blocked away a volley of shots, some of which returned to their senders, but he knew that he could not stand against them forever. One of the storm troopers pulled an explosive device. Seeing his chance, Daelon risked leaving his defences open for a moment, reaching out with the force as the trooper let the grenade-like object go, knocking it back towards the group. Before they could react, there was a huge explosion, and when the debris cleared, no more of that particular group stood. However, there were already others rushing to take their place, and Daelon turned and started running again, no time to celebrate his successful attack.

Charis Du'Thar

Charis sat in the command center on board the Thrawn , her face set in a frown. She had come to the agreed upon coordinates, and received her instructions from her Master. While she understood his reasoning, she hated what she must do.

"My Lady?" the voice of the Captain came through the speaker to her right.

"Yes, Captain?"

"We're receiving a distress call from the planet Ithor. They report an attack by a large group of pirates. Four Corellian Corvettes, and a Mon Calamari Light Cruiser..."

"Take us in, Captain."

"As you wish, My Lady. Targets?"

Lady Du'Thar smiled to herself. "Target the pirates, Captain."

"My Lady? Did you say the pirates?" His voice was full of questions. He must know that the Ithorians were among the rebellions biggest supporters, and had always been adamantly oposed to the Empire.

"You heard me, Captain. Must I come to the bridge to reiterate who is in command here?"

"No, of course no, My Lady. As ordered, acquiring targets."

"Good." She waved a hand, and the command center activated. To her left was the hologrpahic representation of the Pellaeon and below her was the representation of the Thrawn The support fleet arrayed itself behind her. The stars changed to lines for a split second as the fleet jumped momentarily to bring them closer to Ithor. They came in behind the pirates.

"Target all captial ship turbolasers on the cruiser," the Sith commanded.

The Thrawn and the Pellaeon responded immediately, their holographic images turning to fire on the largest pirate ship in unison, just as their real counterparts were doing in realspace. Gouts of oxegen fed flame erupted from the cruiser, as the turbolasers pummeled the ship after overwhelming the deflectors.

The cruiser and it's comrades immediately began to turn tail and run when faced with the threat of two Star Destroyers.

"All craft cease fire," Charis commanded. "Give communications, all channels."

"You have it, My Lady," came the reply from the Captain.

"Attention, pirate vessels. This is Lady Charis Du'Thar of the People's Republic Star Destroyer Thrawn. Know this, the planet of Ithor is hereby under our protection. Any hostile forces intent on attacking it in the future, will be crushed. I show you mercy by letting you escape with your lives. Do not make me regret it by returning to this place."

After a moment, the return came from the cruiser. "Understood, Thrawn."

Moments later, the cruiser and it's support ships vanished into hyperspace.

Charis waved her hand, ending the hologram.

"Captain, get me the leaders of Ithor."

"As you wish, My Lady."

"And lower our shields."

"My Lady?"

"Lower the shields on all craft, Captain. And power down all weapons. Don't make me repeat myself again."

"As you wish, My Lady. Shields lowered, and weapons powered down."

"Let me know when you have the Ithorians."

"As you wish, My Lady."

Excellent. Everything was going according to plan. She leaned back in the chair, hands clasped together before her, fingers steepled.

Now for the next phase.

D'rack Fran'tok

"M'lord." The Commander stood at attantio n behinde D'rack. "The Corrino is reporting that their hyperdriv is fixed and awaiting clearance to leave ."

"Very well Comander, give them clearance." D'rack says as he looks out oof the bridge, watching the Corri no...

The Commander bows and hurrys off to comminicate with the Corrino....

***

The Corrino tur ns and moves out at a slow speed, gathering mor e speed, as it jumps to hyperspace.. .

"Commander, when will our hyperdrive be ready?" D'rack asks as he walks over to the control desks.

ooc: post 1977 the year of Star War

Kelson had found the force to be in near total control of his lightsaber now, no thought or emotion affected him as he impassively deflected shot after shot back at the storm troopers.

However, that is not to say his mind was not working. At this very moment, the last of this batch of troops were entering his kill zone. It had been very carefully constructed, providing protection on four sides completely, but hardly any aerial or from in between the zones. This group was coming in very nicely around the Jedi.

With his thoughts brushing against those of his companions in warning and to alert them to be prepared, Kelson started running backwards, speaking to the troops that the cannons should activate now.

Their would be great death and, worse still, incredible agony. It was, however, necessary in this case.

OOC) Sorry for taking so long, was away for a number of days.

Daelon

Daelon felt his stamina waning, and he had to duck aside to narrowly avoid a blast from behind. He threw himself behind a tree, his back resting against the trunk as he struggled to catch his breath.
Clear your mind. Still your shaking hands. he told himself, recalling Kelson's lessons. He breathed deeply, his ears picking up the voices of the droids and troopers as they neared.
"You, over there... you, go around that way!"
"Roger Roger."
"Get the Jedi!"
Daelon threw himself out onto the path, his lightsaber a blur in front of him as the surprised attackers stumbled for their weapons. He cut down two of the nearest before he had to deflect shots, two soon buzzing harmlessly into the canopy, and then a third, which thudded directly into the chest of the trooper who had shot it. He leapt over the heads of his attackers before they could get in another shot, immediately cutting through the foremost of the droids from behind, before he turned to face the onslaught of the others. As he desperately blocked shot after shot, he realised there were too many, even for a Jedi, and he desperately looked for a way out.
His only answer was the treetops above, and, during a momentary lull in the fighting, he leapt high, up and up, grabbing a tree branch and quickly pulling himself up onto it.
"He's up there!"
"What do we do?"
"Just shoot, and hope you hit something."
"Roger Roger."
Daelon's eyes widened as he threw himself onto the next tree, narrowly avoiding a laser blast which would have gone straight through his chest. He cleared his mind and began to swing from tree to tree, somewhat successful in his attempt to imitate a monkey.

Commander Dar Thandor stood in the front of the bridge of the Solo with his hands clasped behind his back, watching the starlines of hyperspace.

"Dropping out of hyperspace om five seconds, Commander," his navigations officer called out.

"Very good, Liutenant."

The patrol had been uneventful, as had the last month. For a naval officer, however, boredom was a good thing. The younger officers lamented the lack pf a fight, he knew, but for him peace and quiet was just fine. He had seen more than enough blood and death to wish for more. It would come soon enough, he knew.

"Dropping out of hyperspace on the edge of the system, Commander."

Dar nodded. "Battle drill. Scanners on maximum. Evasive manuever Delta." He liked to drill his crew quite a bit. Kept them sharp.

"Commander," came the sharp reply. "Imperial Star Destroyers orbiting Mached V!"

"How many?" Dar was all business, now. This is what he had been trained for, and he let that training take over. He was one of the youngest commanders in the fleet for a reason..

"Two, visible."

"There could be more hiding behind Mached V, blind to our scans. Take us in to the far side of the planet. Notify our escort, and order squadrons to flight bay to prepare to launch on my mark."

Even if there were only two Star Destroyers out there, Dar knew both he and the two Corvettes escorting them were hopelessly outgunned. They had to use the Star Destroyers lack of mobility against them, and buy some time.

"Open up a channel to the base, when we get in range."

"Aye, Commander."

Dartum

Dartum took no time to hinder anything, he was in the safe zone as soon as possible. Most of the other rebels were already there. It seems as if they had planned this a few times. Good, that may come in handy.
There wasn't much left to deal with, laser fire was too sporatic to block. The tanks behind were still too great a distance to shoot or aim well, but darned it all if they didn't try their hardest.
The only real threat were the dozen or so droids whooshing through the air, sending out their hail of fire. Since they were always on the move, it was near impossible to block the fire back at them. Dartum would have used his spin-fire, but again the droid would have been gone before it hit them. For now, he just had to block and wait.
He sure hoped Kelson knew what he was doing. Perhaps a more healthier retreat was in order. Cannon fire couldn't stop them all for long.
He had his mind made up though, and from what Dartum could tell already, Kelson was stubborn when it came to giving up on certain ideas.
He just hoped innocent people didn't have to die because of it.
