History:
Growing up as slave in Tatooine, Lans learned early on that some of life's pleasures must be taken by force. At the age of 15, he could handle any weapon, with a special preference to rifles. Upon turning 16, he was invited to join a secret society called "Desert Vanguards". 6 months after joining, he was proclaimed as the 2nd in command, largely in due to his expertise in combat. On his 18 birthday, he fell in love with a fellow slave. Taking time off from his duties, he soon learned the arts with his new love. For the next two years, Lans grew into a noble leader, a learned scholar, a passionate lover, a calculating tactician, and a great fighter. On his 21st birthday, he challenged his owner for the right to be free through the trials of combat. Knowing that Lans would easily defeat his representative in combat, he sought another way. Hiring a band of thugs, they kidnapped Lans' love and took her to a desert camp. Upon finding out what happened, Lans chased after them, forfeiting his chance at freedom. After defeating the thugs, he found his love... ravaged... broken... and lost forever. He buried her in the desert, taking her twin daggers with him. Upon his return, he found an all-out turf war. Quickly rallying his group members, he conquered the other groups. After the battle, they took count. The Desert Vanguard's found themselves in control of Mustafar (in the underworld side), without a leader (he was killed in the battle), and Lans found himself free (his owner's family were killed). Soon after, Lans left Tatooine, using his skills to rival the bounty hunter Bobba Fett. At the age of 24, he is the best bounty hunter. He is currently on assignment.

And Ren, seeing as how I haven't gotten around to posting for General Koto's response to the slaughter at Mustafar, let me post up here what he would have done in general. First, he would have put all assets of the 5th Fleet on war time status, with authorization to attack on sight any ships matching the description of the Dakari vessels. The assets of the 5th Fleet include all military personal, vessels, planetary bases and forces, as well as space stations. A high prioty signal would be sent out to the Surpreme Commander of the Republic Navy informing him that the 5th Fleet has just gone to war time status. This signal would in turn be forward to the other fleets so that they may be prepared. General Koto would thing order that all hyperspace lanes going in and out of the Mustafar system be immediately shut down, with Intedictor cruisers on station to prevent civilian traffic. System-ward of the cruisers, mines will be deployed in mass to catch any vessels leaving the Mustafar system. Nothing should get in or out of the Mustafar system without General Koto knowing about it. General Koto will in turn contact any soveriegn planets/systems within his territory and inform them of the situation. He will also excerise his power to prevent any news of the attacks and situation from reaching the HoloNet.

Got all that?

Oh, and as soon as the survivors of the battle return, the commanding officer will be debriefed and the batttle data analyzed with top priority to determine just what the hell the Dakari are using, as well as any other useful information.

And what was it doing on Mustafar to begin with if it was based on Tatooine? And is your character free or not? It doesn't seem that was ever resolved.

hmmmm, in the eyes of everyone who lives, he is now free... considering he never went back to tatooine. and because no one ever contested his freedom when he left tatooine. so to answer your question.

Lans is a free man and is a bounty hunter... wer should he appear?

Just a note, Lans, the Jedi group is not in Echo Base. In fact, they're way south of Echo Base in an entirely different area. You'd have to have a ridiculously good sense of hearing to hear them fighting in the distance, unless of course, you hear Verdico's group doing battle.

We're not sure actually. Its been a while since he was on... I think that we can safely assume that he won't be returning to carry out Verdico's character though. Its simply been too long since he was anywhere around here.

I think if you ask Ren, you could have control of Verdico's group? Might be interesting if he lets you

you may control vedico if you choose, i was going to have the jedi come upon the corpses of vedico's group, just so the loose end would be tied, but if you want to control vedico, by all means. These dakari are not a invasion force, they just happened to crash on hoth, and the Jedi have killed them all.

The hangar is part of Echo Base. As I said, the Jedi aren't near Echo Base. They're in an different area. Currently, they are in a natural cavern on Hoth, but that will soon change. But they still won't be in Echo Base, unless Ren directs them towards Echo Base.
