Oh it is, it is.

And ironically it has the opposite problem to the new sw movies, Barbarella spends most of the film falling over and getting rescued despite being setup as a badass heroine. Whereas Rey is setup as a know-nothing nobody who's defeating sith lords and saving planets five seconds later. Somewhere between those two is my perfect female lead.

I agree. The new characters they’ve created aren’t as interesting either. They’re also hung up on the Skywalker bloodline. Time to branch out.

I may watch episode 9. After that, I think I’m done with Star Wars unless they do a Boba Fett story.

That sounds like the stuff going on when they released LotR - The Two Towers. Only difference is that actually was a movie I wanted to see.

I do still kinda want to see it, but that happens whenever a film gets pulled. It just makes me want to see it. It's why I sat through The Interview, despite knowing I wouldn't find it that funny.

I think they wanted to change the title because of the 9/11 Twin Towers connection thing. At least that’s what I heard. How true, I can’t say. Didn’t stop me from seeing the movie.

I’m wondering if it’s going to be a sleeper, better than you expect, kind of movie. I mean, it’s got Amy Madigan and Hillary Swank. Swank’s been in some duds but she’s also a legitimate two time best actress Oscar winner.

I was a huge Star Wars fan when I was a kid. Still am. But that was based upon the original trilogy. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 were a total joke. I watched The Force Awakens, and called it quits after that. They took an iconic story and just destroyed it. To me, there are three Star Wars episodes: 4, 5, 6. Thats it.

By far. The other two were more about throwing more and fights/battles at the audience than moving the plot forward. Yes, there were some interesting side treks (Monica Bellucci), but otherwise, meh.

What made The Matrix so good was all the special effects no one was expecting and how well they were put together. Not to mention the subtle, and not so subtle humor (deja vu, anyone?). Once you saw that, the next two movies didn't seem that special.

The 2002 Spider-Man movie was being promoted with a trailer that had non-feature footage using the WTC. After 9/11 the trailer and posters were pulled and replaced.
