"I want you everywhere Jase, all at once," Vera groaned, feeling his thrusts becoming more frenzied. "But right now I want it where it belongs. There will be time for my arse later. Please Jase, fill me with you." She said, hands gripping him tightly as her hips bucked.

She would be sure he would have the chance to quench his anal thirst later. Perhaps in the morning before they checked out. Now, though, she had an insatiable hunger to feel his thick cum in her core, to have it drip out over her pussy lips as she slept, to be full and wet with him as her mind sailed off to sleep.

"Oh god I can't resist when you say it lioke that!" Jase moaned his body reaction as well.

And oh did it react

He came hard thrusting into her panting and growling and moaning again and again in pleasure. His entire body trembled and rocked his need for her oberwhelimg him as he burst inside of her. They some how made it to the bed with him still deep inside of her his cvum coursing through her

Vera wrapped her legs around him as they tumbled into bed, relishing their warm, post-coital haze. She snuggled her head into his chest, relieved beyond measure to have him here, safe with her.

"I love you, husband," Vera said, rolling his new title around on her tongue and finding it pleasing. She sighed then, as her eyes started to shut even as she tried to stay awake. Her fatigue hit there then, hard and heavy. Her left hand went down to cradle her belly between them, memories of the babies squirming during their wedding warming her heart.

Just as Vera's eyes fluttered shut all of the popular broadcasting stations in the universe finished up their highlight reels of Jase and Vera's wedding, their best reporters coming on to the screen with the latest breaking news. As Vera and Jase slept, the universe learned that they their Chancellor was pregnant with the General's children. It was a joyous announcement for many, but there were some who relished the news for other, more sinister reasons.

THE NEXT DAY

Morning came quickly and even though the couple had been promised a night and morning respite away from the acts of war.

It did not come

"Jase" Samantha said speaking directly into his mind to jostle him awake "You need to wake up"

Jase shifted opening his eyes and gently extracting himself from the beautiful bride. He paused admiring her for several seconds before turning to Samantha.

"What is it?" He asked softly coming over to her and pulling on his discarded boxers.

"You both are needed back on the ship" Samantha said sighing "theres been a message from the rebels one aimed for you and your new wife apparently they saw the footage and know you two were wed"

"So there probably not calling in to congratulate us" Jase said sighing "Is the driver on his way down?"

"Yes and your luggage is in the drawers" Samantha said pointing.

"Thank you" Jase said going over and getting both of their day outfits out. He sighed looking around and smiling.

"We will come back one day" Jase said mostly to himself before coming over.

"Mrs. Crestfield" Jase told her gently smiling at the term "I am afraid vacation has been cut short"

Vera was roused from sleep by the low buzz of conversation and then Jase's voice pushed through the fog of sleep as he came closer. Vera rolled over, looking up at him through heavy eyes.

"The universe needs us, huh?" She said, sitting up slowly. She wasn't surprised in the least, but she had to admit she was disappointed. She reached out, grasping his hips and pulling him closer until his shins pressed against the bed. She leaned into him, her face pressing against the warm skin of his stomach and breathing him in

"I am just grateful we got the time we did," She sighed. "I love you Jase."

Vera slid out of bed and looked around, realising that she was naked and had no idea where the suitcases were. She had been too enamoured by Jase the previous night to bother looking for where he put them.

"Clothes are in the dresser empress" Samantha said appearing

"Guess the rebels sent us a message" Jase said pulling on his pants and usual black t shirt "I think they might have seen our wedding video"

"Hive probably did too," Vera sighs as she recovers some clothes to slip into. "And the pregnancy announcement would have aired while we were f- sleeping," Vera corrected her word, trying to respect Sam's presence.

Once she was dressed she took one of the small cases, waited for Jase to take the other, and then they walked down to the waiting shuttle.

Jase took the other one and within moments they were hurried back onto the shuttle and breaking atmosphere.

"Well it was nice while It lasted" Jase said sighing and shaking his head "Samantha ETA on the ship repairs?"

"Evers one moving as fast as they can" Samantha replied appearing across from them "But its going to be tight even as is were going to have workers on the ship as we go to the front lines they will be shuttled out"

"The crews not going to have any rest" Jase murmured shaking his head "Get a rotating shore leave going every one needs to take the time to go back home now because once we get out there we wont be coming back"

Vera smiled at Jase's words; thinking of everyone else even in the moment when their own time was cut short. He was the best kind of General they could have.

"Speaking of the front," Vera said, turning to Jase, "I was wondering if you had made progress on the portable hard light projector? I know you've been busy, but I am thinking it might come in handy if we are out and about. I am not quite willing to drag a specialist into war to help if anything happens with the babies, I think with the drive we could have Sam step in." Vera grinned over at Sam, knowing that this was something she desperately wanted.

"Its some thing I'll have to get to when were underway" Jase said nodding at Samantha "however today I will be installing her core into the flagship its to important onces she is interfaced she can run the ship and help us"

"I've been thinking about that," Vera admitted with a frown. "I am not so sure you should install Sam on the ship. For one, hard light and AI interfaces are still illegal, so it would be a hard sell. But mostly I am concerned about her. If Hive gets access to our ship... Jase, I don't want their technology infecting her." Vera said.

"What do you think Sam, if we gave you full access and overrides and what not, but kept your core separate from the ship. If anything happens to Kryten, and the mothership system, you will be there as a back up, but you should be partitioned enough to keep your own system clean?"

Jase noted what she said but shook her head before Samantha could speak up.

"I can understand your concern" Jase said as the ship docked into the hangar bay "but we have no proof that they can infect AI I can work on some fail safes for her to make sure nothing happened in that case but Samantha could be vital to the war efforts"

"She could stream line the whole system keep us on our toes the AI on the ship is simple bare bones I don't give a crap about the legality of it I care about winning and I have every intention of doing so" base said getting up and grabbing his bag and hers.

"Time to get back to work" he told her leaning down to kiss her

"I trust you," Vera said with a heavy sigh as she struggled to her feet. Her head spun as she stood and she reached out, steadying herself against Jase for a moment.

"You haven't eaten," Sam said, appearing next to her with concern in her eyes. "I'll have something sent straight to the meeting room for you. Secret is out now, so no one will think twice of you eating at a meeting."

Sam disappeared and Vera and Jase walked through the halls. Now, having announced her pregnancy, Vera was back in the tighter body conforming clothes she was used to. Her bump was clear for everyone to see, and it was nice not being drowned in a puddle of fabrics for a change. The people they passed were quick to offer their congratulations on both the wedding and the pregnancy. So much so, that it took them much longer than Vera would have liked to reach the meeting room. But part of her didn't care, make the Rebels wait. PEACe had given them plenty of chances to communicate and they had snubbed them all. They could wait a few more minutes while Vera and Jase were polite and thankful to their crew.

When they reached the meeting room Jase and Vera sat at the table, and one of the council members turned the holographic communicator on. The leader of the Rebels appeared before them, expression undreadable.

"So, you finally decided to call us back," Vera said, dissatisfaction clear in her voice.

The General of the rebels leaned in trying her best to hide her disdain as she looked at them both.

"I did" She said her voice short and holding no love "Recent actions have forced my hand"

"Do you mean the wedding or the attacks" Jase piped up folding his arms and leaning back "I mean its been a few days since the last one"

"Ah Crestfield" She said turning to look at him "Who knew you could be leashed"

"Uh huhhhhhhhh" Jase said drawing it out with a smirk "Really General were both generals now A little professional respect goes a long way"

The Rebels general looked as if she would rather do any thing but the sort but she wisely choose to ignore it.

"I hear you guys have a infestation in your backyard" She finally said "I was wondering if you might like some help clearing it out"

"For a price of course"

If the bitch was in the room, Vera would have punched her for talking to Jase like that. Anger rose in her at the word leashed, as though he were an animal. They had woken up early from their one night off for this; she did not feel like being insulted. For Jase was the one with the diplomatic response so Vera backed off and settled her annoyance.

The General of the Rebels offered assistance with clearing out the Hive infestation. For a price of course.

"You are aware," Vera began, fixing the woman with a cold stare, "that you won't be immune to this infestation simply because you have rebelled against us for years. Even if you offered Hive your assistance you would only buy yourself a tiny bit of time, if that. I think you need us just as much as we need you."

The woman laughed, but it was a humourless one, and Vera could see she was stalling for time.

"Here I was thinking I would find you ready to negotiate," the General said, shaking her head.

"No, we are here to discuss saving the universe. The one that we share, however unwillingly," Vera corrected.

"Sounds like the same thing to me," the Rebel General sighed. Vera watched as she considered what to say next.

"Look, let's not waste time here," Vera cut in before the General could say anything. "This is what I propose. We go into this together. We provide proportional amounts of troops for all tasks, we give you one spot on our council so we are able to keep in contact, and we call a cease fire on all other actions. This threat is too big for us to keep sniping at each other. We need to put whatever differences we have aside for now, and for a decent amount of time after this war is over."

The General turned, looking to some of the people out of Vera and Jase's views, gathering opinions. Vera waited, reaching for Jase's hand under the table and giving it a squeeze.

"You would be stupid to not take this deal" Jase spoke up giving her hand a squeeze as the general attention went back to him "I know your outfit remember? I know how many troops and ships you actually have I know that the two planets they already harvested puts you vastly outnumbered"

Jase rose before she could say any thing smirking

"I also know your command centers in that same asteroid field"

The general rocked back glaring at him

"So you give away all our secrets now since your in bed with the Empress?"

"My wife thank you" Jase said glaring back "and not even remotely close to "all" I can share the rest of them though if you would like? However I would think you were more concerned with getting a rescue"

The generals jaw worked her anger clear and evident before she finally sighed.

"We have yet to be spotted yet" The General said finally "but there crawling closer and closer every day the bulk of my forces were out on an.... unrelated mission and so there standing by they will assist you and once you guys have distracted the enemy we will evacuate then detonate the base"

"We will need to work out a more defined plan than that, but I think it is certainly something we can at least negotiate," Vera said, eyeing the woman. "Give us five hours. We will draw up the terms of a treaty and send it to you. Once you have signed we will talk about this mission."

Vera got to her feet, her belly sticking out before it. She pressed one hands against the bump of her twins and then held the other out for Jase.

"And you may be surprised to hear this, but my husband and I have had much more important things to discuss than your forces," Vera said, a smile on her face, "Especially as we've been managing this threat since it started. I'm glad you finally came to your senses."

Jase cut the transmission before the general could say any thing chuckling as he did.

"Well that sure knocked her into silence my dear wife" Jase said smirking in pleasure "Its not often that happens!"

He shook his head his expression growing more serious as he turned to look at the asteroid belt.

"Go ahead and draw up the treaty this added wrinkle is not going to affect the battle plans that we already drew up for the assault on the asteroid field hell with the rebels we may even have a much easier time of it" Jase remarked coming over and kissing her.

"Remember we only have a few more days until we ship out" Jase told her holding her hands "I am afraid you wont be seeing much of me in the next couple of days as I try to finalize all the military aspects"

He leaned in giving her one last lingering kiss before he smiled at her and walked out of the room. Once he was gone Samantha appeared turning to her and bringing up a message marked to Vera.

"Empress the Princess Arellian sent a message stating she would be on the ship today and wanted to speak with you"

Vera accepted Jase's kiss, relishing in that contact before he was gone. The amount of work she had before her was monumental, but she knew it was necessary and important.

"Thanks Sam," Vera said, nodding at the AI and turning on her heel. She wondered what the Princess Arellian would want with her, particularly on her own. As she walked to the meeting room, she and Sam worked on the bones of the treaty, drawing up on the one they had offered the Coalition as well as a proposal she had sent to the Rebels when everything first started.

When Vera reached the meeting room the princess was already waiting. Vera gave her a smile and a respectful dip of the head.

"Greetings Princess Arellian, I trust you are keeping well?" Vera asked.

The princess rose her wings behind her shimmering as she slightly lifted off the ground. She was alone her royal guard strangely absent as she floated over to the empress.

"Thank you for seeing me" Arellian said dropping and giving a small curtsey "I know how busy you are I know how busy we are all getting ready to leave but I had some thing I wished to discuss with you"

"First however I believe congratulations are in order" Princess Arellian said nodding her head at her pink eyes assessed the wedding ring on her finger "By the right of my people I would like to present you both with this gift" She said pulling out a small box and handing it to her.

"Our finest craftsmen made it" She explained opening the box to reveal two rings "our magicians blessed it while you both where it you shall never be lost of the other one you will be able to feel them at all times and if either of you should die the other would feel it"

Vera stepped closer, looking at the beautifully wrought rings inside the box. The sentiment touched her deeply and she smiled.

"Thank you very much Princess, this is a great honour. Jase and I thank you and your people for the kindness."

Vera tucked closed the box gingerly and held onto it.

"How are things going with your people? This coming war is a daunting one."

"No more daunting then all the other wars" The princess said with a wave of her hand "The stakes get higher and higher yes but its always the same isnt it? A war for survival or some thing you want"

"It does however segway into what I came to talk to you about" She told her moving over to her "Now I trust your... discretion for what I am about to say even though we work together species to species in the coalition what I am about to tell you has been my peoples most guarded secret"

Vera agreed with her words for sure. War was war, but these stakes were much higher than previous.

"You have my word, Princess," Vera vowed, "I want to protect the beings in this galaxy; all of them."

"Well then I am glad I came to you" The Princess said pulling out a datapad and hitting a few buttons.

"Its no secret my people and I are more... sexually active and free then most" The Princess explained flicking through different planet models "However birth and the process of it is some thign we keep under wraps no one who is not one of my people knows about this"

"One of the planets your PEACe has always been interested in in the past and we have even waged war over is situated by the front lines" She explained finally selecting it "its an ideal and lush world which is why its so sought after"

"Its also where we are hatched"

"On that planet is the entirety of my race future" She said turning to her "and unfortunately its to close to the aliens path I shudder to think what they could turn our newborns into and I do not want to see my race genocided we need help finding an ideal planet behind your lines and a discreet moving of our eggs"

Vera listened to the Princess, eyes widening as she spoke, barely able to comprehend the concern that the fairy must be feeling. Vera's hand flew to press against the bulge of her twins and felt an empathetic sense of fear for the princess and her kind flooding her; and her twins were but two humans. The princess was talking about the entire legacy of her kind.

"Well," Vera said, finding her breath at last, "I can tell you now that I will do my best to protect your kind. I can't imagine the fate of my own kind hanging in such precarious balance. Thank you for confiding in me." Vera took the fairy's hand in her own, holding it for a moment before stepping back. "I keep you up to date on all of our progress."

Vera and the princess discussed a few more (relatively insignificant) issues before Vera excused herself. As she made her way to meet with Starspeaker she called out to Jase down their mental link.

"Jase... Husband? Are you there?" Vera called down the comms, "I am not sure if you heard what the princess said, but we have an issue on our hands. I know we're both busy but we need to discuss this ASAP."
