Deep in a Laboratory located in North Africa, 3400 AD

It is often believed that time was the fourth dimension, and time itself is often unstable. Living in a timeline where magic and science co-existed side by side, a group of scientists tried to play God and the results were...unthinkable. A complex had been built deep underground, most of it's projects kept top secret from the world in which they were done.

Their latest experiment was to create a new human, a meta-human. The human DNA would be fused with DNA of a Black dragon. Yes, such a thing existed in other parts of the world, and the race of dragons stayed away from humans for the most part. The two DNAs were able to successfully fuse together and create a meta-human. The meta-human was male and took upon new powers with the creation. Even the scientists were not sure of what his new powers would be, but they would be a sight to behold.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zion's first moment's of waking were to see fluid all around him. He was suspended in the middle of a tank in greenish fluid. A mask was over his face so that he was able to breathe in the strange substance. As he managed to focus more, he noticed several white faces peering at him. Images and knowledge flowed through his mind. Where did this come from? How did he know how to use weapons? He wasn't sure, but he didn't like where he was.

The fusion had an unexpected side-effect where his heart was turned dark. His mind was filled with anger and hate, hate for those around him. He growled for a moment as he tried to hit the glass with his fist, but the fluid only served to slow him down. He wanted out, needed out. This desire was enough to trigger his magic. A dark surge of energy exploded from him, shattering glass in all directions. Blood-curdling screams filled the air as chunks of glass sliced into the scientists, leaving them fatally wounded.

A strange glowing object that was being studied by one of the scientists was struck by one of the pieces of glass. It's origins and exact purpose was unknown, but the hit was enough to activate it. Zion tilted his head as it began pulsating a soft white glow before he was suddenly hit by lightning, his vision going dark.

Zion had disappeared, thrown in a time vortex. He was soon dumped on the ground in a heap, in the middle of a forest. He laid on his back, completely nude. His body was well-toned and muscular, all six foot of him. His hair was a jet black, and his eyes were a deep black as well. He laid unconscious, completely unaware of his surroundings.

After a short while he began to wake up and sit up slowly. He frowned down at his nakedness and looked around for a few moments. He really need some sort of protection. It was a few moments, but he picked up the sounds of a fire crackling with his increased hearing, and could smell the smoke as well. Taking his time in sneaking towards the direction of the fire, he soon came upon a lone male sleeping beneath a tree.

Zion wondered why a fire was needed during the day before the chillness of the air hit his naked skin. He growled softly at the coolness before taking a closer look at the sleeping male. The guy seemed to be about the same build, so his outfit might work. Zion walked over to the guy bend reaching his hands down towards the man's neck. The sudden touch woke the man up, but all he could do was struggle beneath the iron grip. The man tried to pry Zion's hands away, but he was soon dead in a matter of seconds.

The dead corpse was quickly stripped and the Zion began to try the leather pants, tunic, and boots on. The items were a bit snug against his muscular build, but they would do for the time being. He pulled on the chainmail shirt the guy was wearing before kicking the body into the fire. It wouldn't do for him to be discovered just yet for killing. He chuckled and picked up the dead man's backpack and sword, strapping them on before begin a leisurely stroll through the forest.

The sun shone brightly that early evening day, bathing the forest in incandescent splendor. The trees swayed in the light wind, branches rustling, and leaves falling to the ground. The canopy teetered with activity, the sound of bird-song and howling of monkeys. It was serene and as peaceful as one would come to expect from an arboreal forest of the Northern Lands.

Then the aura of the entire forest changed. The howls of a pack of dogs pierced the air in a long, sorrowful draw. Silence immediately followed. The brush parted in all directions as a pack of hunting dogs tore through the trees, chasing a large buck. The large, male deer's eyes were wide with fright as its legs struggled to keep evading the pack, fighting a losing battle as the dogs closed the distance gap.

A single, pure note rent the air as a young elven woman ran alongside her dogs, her lithe frame and powerful legs helping her keep pace. Her almond-shaped, emerald-green eyes followed the retreating form of the deer as she reached back for her bow. Stringing the bow as she ran, she stopped for a half-second to raise the bow and fire the arrow. The flighted shaft sought out the target and pierced the buck's abdomen, causing a vital wound.

Another cheerful cry escaped her lips, followed soon after by the victory howls of the hunting dogs.

Layla pulled out the arrow from the dying deer and patted the heads of her dogs, grinning widely from ear to ear at her first successful hunt in a month. Her and her dogs had been tracking the young buck for three days, finally catching wind of it earlier in the morning.

"They're going to be so shocked," The dark-haired beauty chuckled as she thought of her friends' surprised expressions at her successful hunt. Her joy would be short lived however as loud howls of gray-back wolves sounded around them in every direction.

Layla's head snapped up and looked around her as more and more wolves surrounded her and her three dogs. Her faithful dogs formed a circle around their master, growling fiercely at the much larger wolves. At some signal amongst themselves, her dogs attacked the wolves.

Layla did the only thing she could do... run. Her feet pattered against the leaves covering the ground as she fled. The sound of the wolf pack got louder and louder until she stopped, a waterfall. She turned around to face the ferocious wolves with a short sword grasped tightly in her right hand. She backed up a half step and stumbled into the river.

The rushing rapids pulled her over the the waterfall. Layla tumbled over the edge and then all was dark.

******************************************
(A few hours later)

The young elven maiden opened her eyes and struggled to lift her arms, only found them to be bound tightly, her legs as well.

"What's going on?" She asked in elvish. A large, dark man grinned down at her and pulled her head back using her raven tresses, causing a distressed scream from the captive girl.

"You're being sold. Elf slaves are becoming rarer and rarer these days. You'll fetch a nice price." The brute grunted, one hand stroking the black silk, another moving down her young body to squeeze her ass.

Layla let out a furious scream and head butted the slaver.

"You elf bitch!" The large man struck her across the face. Darkness once again claimed Layla as the slave caravan continued on to the closest city. Unbeknownst to them, a dark shadow had been watching them for some time, interest steadily building within his evil mind and dark heart...

Zion moved through the forest, taking in the many details. Much of the forest and the creatures in it seemed very familiar to him, but he also felt things were different. The air was different from what was in his mind. Everything was too clean, too simple. He frowned as he searched through his knowledge for anything to place his location, but nothing helped. There were even parts of his mind that were closed off to him.

His attention was soon drawn to the sounds of growling and yelping. His mind identified the sounds as those belonging to wolves and canines and they were very close. Soon the smell of blood reached his nose, stirring a primal urge within him. He grinned and moved through the forest towards the disturbance quickly.

He soon foundt the aftermath of the fight between Layla's dogs and the wolf pack. None of the dogs survived, their throats ripped out and entrails pulled out as well. He hmmed for a moment as he picked up the scent of blood from the wolves, following after them. He caught up with the wolf pack quickly, trailing behind them as they went after their prey.

He arrived at the waterfall in time to see Layla fall back over the edge of the waterfall. Leaving the wolf pack, Zion made his way down the side of the waterfall and followed the river. He soon came to the sight of the elven girl getting pulled out of the river by a small group of men and get thrown into a horse-drawn cage. He chuckled softly and decided the best way to find out about the new world was to follow after the little caravan.

The sun was shining its last rays of light as the caravan pressed on, wooden wheels and the click-clack of hooves sounding on the well-used dirt road. It was then that the sun finally disappeared over the horizon, casting a golden-pink hue across the sky, bathing the woodlands in its soft light.

It was to this sight that Layla woke up, groaning and holding her head between her bond hands. Her vision went in and out for a few moments as she tried to get her bearings.

It was then that she noticed the human girl at her side, hair the color of liquid gold. She looked younger than Layla, provoking a sense of protectiveness from the young elf. Subconsciously, she reached out and stroked the length of her long hair.

The girl stiffened for a short moment before slowly easing back and let herself be petted.

"Hey, my name's Layla... What's your name?" The elf maiden whispered, her hand twining through the golden tresses, marveling at how the light from the setting sun caused it to almost glow.

It was after a few long moments that the young girl spoke. And even then Layla had to strain her sensitive ears to hear her small voice.

"Eren." The young girl turned slightly to look up at the elf. A small smile made its way onto her lips as her small hand reached out to lightly run her fingers along the pointed tip of the elf's ear.

The Elven race was scarce to begin with and since they were an all-female race, it was hard to find a suitable mate among other peoples. They were a people of legend and few knew much about them. So there held no possibility that Eren would have known how sensitive an elf's ears were.

Layla stiffened and had a sharp intake of breath as the young girl's nimble fingers played with the tip of her ear. The warmth started from her ear and slowly made its way down her slender neck and lithe form. It settled in her stomach for a short moment before pulsing throughout the rest of her body to as far as the tips of her toes.

Eren jerked her hand away in surprise at the elf's reaction, uncertainty written clearly across her face.

"I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?"

"No... it's fine. My ears are just sensitive." Layla muttered, looking away from the girl, the urges fading slowly.

The two became silent, Layla continuing to stroke Eren's hair. They had finally settled into a more comfortable position in the cramped space when the cart stopped and the door flew open.

"Out!" The slaver yelled at the two and grabbed Eren, throwing the small girl onto the ground. Layla struggled to get out when the large man pulled her away from the blond girl.

"Eren!" The young elf woman struggled against him, her superior strength pushing her captive back. The man looked alarmed for half a second before a smirk made its way onto his face. His center of balance shifted a foot to the left and she felt her body make its way to the ground, slamming the air of her lungs. She lay there stunned as she saw her companion being dragged away.

"Layla, help me!" Eren cried out.

Layla struggled until she felt a prick at the side of her neck. She looked down to see a needle.

"What... did you do?" Her words started to slur and her body became heavy.

"Layla!" Eren cried out once more before she was pushed into another cart and hauled away.

******************

Layla lay in a cage in the midst of a busy market, sounds of people bickering around her. Her brain refused to work, the drug still coursing through her system. The warmth from before came back with a vengeance, liquid heat coursing through her system, causing wanton moans to escape her lips.

She couldn't make out the words, but she saw a man wearing chainmail armor and a large sword talking to the slaver posted next to her cage.

"Hey sir, would you be interested in buying a pet?" The large, dark man motioned at her cage.

"Just look at her. She's a fine specimen." He reached into the cage and grabbed Layla by the chin, running a thumb across her lips before probing the walls of her mouth with his thumb.

"Elves are rare, but it is rumored that they pick up things quickly." A dirty grin crossed his face.

"If she weren't worth so much, I wouldn't hesitate to make her my own."

It never occurred to Zion how he was able to follow after the caravan without notice, but he moved like a cat stalking it prey. The caravan moved at a slow pace, since several of the guards were walking around the caravan. He stayed to the shadows easily, moving along the road several feet away from the road. He stayed pace with the cage that the elven maiden was in with several other girls.

His eyes shifted on their own to adjust to the night, looking very dragon. He was alert, taking in every movement around the caravan. He stayed with the caravan until it entered the city, needing to rest for a few hours. He hid himself in a darkened alcove near the city gates, falling asleep.

His dreams were dark, almost nightmarish. Images of war, death, blood and other gruesome images travel through his mind. He jerked awake as the image of a black dragon's head flashed in his mind. The sun was shining on him as he opened his eyes.

As soon as he entered the city, the overwhelming sounds and scents hit him. He growled under his breathe for a moment as he attempted to sort through everything at once. After a little bit, the scent of the elven girl was picked up by his nose, beckoning him forward. He licked his lips as he made his way through the city crowd, finding the edge of the market square near the cages.

He had only been near the elf's cage for a few moments when the slaver came up beside him and started babbling to him. He half-listened to the slaver till the mention of her worth. He placed on hand on the bag of gold he had stolen and weighed it lightly. He didn't believe he carried the amount the slaver wanted and thought of something else. He grinned for a moment at the slaver.

"I see. Then perhaps we could go someplace more private to make a deal."

He tilted his head towards a darkened area beside one of the food carts. The slaver was more than willing, driven by the greed.

"Of course sir. I was thinking you might be able to take her off my hands for say....1,000,000 gold. What do you say?"

Zion was silent at the question as they made their way to the shadows. There was no way he was going to pay this slaver, who was beneath him. He and the guard stared at each other, the slaver with a stupid grin on his face. Zion's eyes darted around, flashing between human and dragon. He growled as he felt a tingling in his right hand, hiding it behind his back.

He felt the bones and skin shifting for several moments before stopping. He brought it into view, causing the guard to gasp in terror. His human hand had morphed into a large black dragon claw, four talons tipped by long sharp claws. In a flash, Zion brought the claws across the slaver's throat, warm blood squirting over his face.

He kicked the body backwards, shaking his hand back to normal. He picked the keys up from the body and moved back to the square, licking the blood from his lips. He wiped the rest of his face on a piece of cloth he had and discarded it before reaching the elf's cage. He unlocked the lock and slammed it open.

"Come on out little one."

Time passed by slowly as the young elf knelt on the hard floor of the cage, fine fingers clenched into fists. She struggled to suppress the tingles and urges running through her body, sweat running in beads down her wispy shirt and leather pants.

Layla grasped the bars to her prison, leaning on them for support and shuddered, the drug still coursing through her system like wildfire. It was by mere willpower that she managed to stay upright and not writhe on the floor like a cat in heat.

These feelings confusing the pitiful elf. Never before having experienced the ideas of romance and sex that her friends always seemed to talk about, Layla was still rather innocent and genuinely pure.

The warmth in her body seemed to gather right in the center of her body and spread to that sweet spot between her legs. Unbeknownst to her, her right hand rubbed against the crotch of her leather pants. And she became so engrossed with the pleasure that produced that she at first didn't notice the dark man approaching her cage door.

Bang! Layla jerked upright, eyes flitting from left to right as the cage door was opened rather forcefully. A male voice spoke to her.

"Come on out, little one." The dark man commanded. His voice sounded normal, but elves were very attuned to magic and could sense the power flowing through his veins.

Layla swallowed dryly. She was frozen on the spot as she imagined her not-so-distant future.

She was being sold into slavery. Between that unknown and being taken by this man, she wasn't sure which she'd prefer.

The frightened elf shook her head vigorously in answer to his demand. But then the smell of fresh blood met her sensitive nose. It was the same smell as the blood of the man who had enslaved her.

Layla froze again as a single tear rolled down her face. She doubted she would survive very long under his care. But she knew that her life would be even shorter if she didn't go with him.

"I'm sorry..." The dark-haired elf whispered. "... Master."

With that, she squared her shoulders and crawled out of her cage and stood with her back pressed against it, trying to be as far from him as possible. She wrapped her arms around her, shivering slightly.

The caravan had traveled a long way from the warm forests of the Elven Southlands and had traveled north to the tundras of the Midlands. The young elf was unaccustomed to the change in climate and was hardly dressed for it.

The warmth of the drug was slowly making its way out of her system but still left her legs weak and her mind muddled.

"Where... where is this?" Layla looked up at him, eyes meeting his before glancing away quickly, as if burned. She hoped he wouldn't be angry that she looked at him.

He raised an eyebrow for a moment as the elf remained in the cage for several more moments as he had told her to get out. He also gave a little smirk at the scent of arousal that hit his nose from her. He gave a shake of his head for the moment, since it wasn't the time to be thinking of such things.

He glanced around for a few moments while the elf decided on whether she was actually going to do anything he said. He looked back at her once she moved from the cage, catching her eyes for a moment before she lowered them as she asked her question.

"I have no clue, but it's not the best place to be."

As if to back up his statement, there was a scream from the stalls where the dead slaver was. True, the wound wouldn't have been traced to him, he was still a stranger. He grabbed the elf and picked her up like a sack of potatoes, throwing her over his right shoulder.

He quickly pushing through the crowd with her, putting distance between them and the market. More shouting could be heard as the slavers realized Layla was missing and guards could be heard pushing through the crowd past them. He chuckled softly as this wasn't exactly a great way to start things in this new world.

Layla nodded slightly in answer to his response. A high-pitched scream nearby startled her. She barely had a moment to react before she felt his large hands grab her hips and hoisted her over his shoulder in a fireman's carry.

"Oof!" The air was knocked out of her lungs and she was left gasping for air. Nausea hit her in waves, the drug causing her to become more and more disoriented as she was jostled around every time he bumped into someone in the crowd.

The sounds of pursuit followed them for a while before steadily fading away into the distance, the pursuers getting left behind in the throngs of people.

It was a short while later before she finally spoke up.

"Excuse me," she gasped, ever the polite girl.

"I'm not feeling too well." Layla had been holding onto his back, pressed against him.

Zion shook his head for a moment as he heard her complain, but said nothing. She was just going to have to endure for a little longer. He soon foundt them in the middle of one of the residential areas of the city, in front of a small house for sale. He grinned for a moment, looking around. Though the area was well-lit with sunlight, no one was in the area.

Testing the doorknob, he foundt it swung open easily. He chuckling softly for a moment.

"Looks like they trust anyone in this place."

The house was part of a two story block of connected houses. The bottom floor of the house was made of just a large dining room and large kitchen. A thin layer of dust covered most every surface. A set of stairs led upstairs where Zion found a large bedroom, with a double bed, two large dressers, and a couple of chairs. He dropped the elf down on the bed on her back.

"Maybe that will make you feel better."

He walked to the window, looking out for a moment. He had only been at the window for a few seconds when a sharp pain went through his head. He grabbed his head as the pain continued for several moments, images of a black dragon's head flashing through his mind. He gasped as the pain left as suddenly as it came, leaving him dis-oriented for a few moments.

The young elf kept her eyes tightly shut and smelled rather than saw the house. The resident smelled of dust and stale air, a house too long unused. It was this calmer atmosphere in which she dared open her eyes and view the scene before her.

Dust covered the rich, lacquer finish on the maple and oak furniture. The house was simply but fully furnished. She looked around, curious. This foreign abode felt safe, almost familiar.

Layla noticed the waves of nausea subsided, enough time to open her eyes before she was dumped onto her back onto a large bed.

"Oof!" She couldn't help but grunt, fighting another wave of nausea before it settled into an uncomfortable queasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Movement in the corner distracted her and she watched as his hands went to his head, his handsome, albeit scary face contorted with pain. Concern moved her and on impulse, she was off the bed and at his side. Without much though she wrapped her arms around him, holding onto him tightly, hoping that her warmth might soothe him, if only a little bit.

It was a few moments later that she felt his tense body relax, muscle by muscle. He didn't move for another few seconds. Layla hesitated for a moment before taking hold of his arm and pulling him along. She sat him on the bed and stood before him.

"Maybe you'll feel a little better if you got out of your armor..." She spoke softly.

Her hands moved on their own accord and started to unfasten the buckle holding the chainmail tight against his body. She grasped the heavy link mail and pulled it over his head and placed it gently onto the chair against the wall next to them.

Layla started to work on taking off his shirt when she stopped abruptly. Her hands dropped to her sides and the blood rushed to her face.

"Sorry. I d-didn't mean." She blushed furiously.

The disorientation left him in a bit of lightheadness, not really sure of his surroundings. His mind still wasn't together yet, nor really in sync with his body. He barely registered her voice, or her stripping of his chainmail. He shook his head to clear it for a moment by the time she stepped back, hearing her apologize.

"What.."

He trailed off as he looked down at himself, and then to her. He growled softly for a moment and lifted his right hand. He slapped her soft cheek hard for a moment.

"Don't do that again without my permission."

He moved away from her, glancing around at the room for a moment. He shook his head for a moment, looking back at her.

"Get started cleaning this place up..We may be here awhile."

He moved back to the window, pushing it open. A breeze blew in for a moment, stirring up the dust in the room.
