I DO understand the pain issue, however. I think it's one of those things that you can only appreciate philosophically if you appreciate it physically. what made it funny I think was that he juxtaposed those scenes with himself, dressed as a short fat man dressed as a short fat not beautiful WOMAN being chased around a tree. The subtext then was that he didn't do anything he wasn't willing to have dne to him.
