Story not posting after Pending for a week

I have been posting stories here prolifically for years, but I have never experienced this kind of delay in my work getting posted. Usually its two to three days before they are published. A week seems a bit extreme. I have taken the pending file down and reposted it in hopes that the original file was overlooked or corrupted. Is this the new normal?

Taking the file down and reposting it starts you over in the back of the queue for approval from what I have read. This is the Literotica Chat Support Forum though. I have moved you to the Author's Hangout forum. Cheers.

The advice given by Laurel is to wait 15 days before doing anything.

There's no way to tell if it was misplaced due to a bug, or simply flagged for closer review and waiting in a different queue. Presumably, that review queue can get backed up, leading to the 15 day suggested wait.

After that time, some people have success from messaging Laurel and politely asking her to look into it. Others pull it back to drafts or delete it, then resubmit it. That does put you back at the end of the line and starts a new clock.

My last story was posted after being in Pending for 15 days. However, prior to that resubmission, it was in Pending for well over 30 and messaging Laurel didn't help.

Sorry there's not a clear solution.

It (pending purgatory) appears to be the new normal because it is still happening. Not to everyone though. No communication from the site's owners as to whether or not it's an actual bug due to the 27 plus year-old CMS/database and/or flawed automated scripts/tools

I've currently got 2 stories in pending purgatory (past the 15 day deadline). I am going to leave them there and after a month try the polite PM hack
