Straight guy discovers wife is non-binary

*cough*

NOT trying to be a Nazi here, but if everybody has had a say can we get back to building Story Ideas?

This is not the General Board. I welcome the posts that help with language and respectfulness, but want to keep Story Ideas about ideas please.

Ah, I see the self-appointed Lit. Gestapo's in town in the shape of our pseudo-intellectual dilettante friend, Bramblethorn. Welcome!

Know the guy? You must, surely. He's the one who, like the worthies he tries to champion, never contributes to Story Ideas but for those times when he sees fit to make Holy Pronouncement on what's Right and Wrong...

False. I haven't been terribly active here in the last couple of years (been kinda busy with covid and other stuff), but anybody who knows how to work the forum search can find plenty of times where I've contributed to story discussions. For instance:

No, like LupusDei but unlike some we could name, I'm a regular contributor to this particular forum

You have fewer posts on this forum than me, and while some of yours are story idea discussion, quite a lot of them seem to be argument of one kind or another.

IIRC, the last time we interacted was when - in a discussion about writing a blind character - I mentioned that many blind people prefer to be called "blind people" over more euphemistic terms, and you took umbrage at that and derailed into an off-topic rant about "political correctness".

And now, in the interests of signal-to-noise, putting you back on ignore.

Just gonna note for the record that I have no beef with LupusDei here. He misunderstood one word and used another that, AFAIK, he didn't realise was outdated and problematic. Several people (none of them me) told him about it, some more gently than others. He seems to have opted to let it rest there.

Sorry, Sirhugs. You see what people are up against here. I did warn about his narcissistic last-wordism.

You see what people are up against here.

One can only shrug and try to ignore these excesses of an infantile petulance...

Uh huh.

I don't know what is more embarrassing, the confusion and ignorance I displayed with my -- apparently off-topic -- musings, or the uninvited way SteelPoint abused the response to "come to my defense" although it's rather clearly not the goal of his posts.

And yes, I somehow confused specific usage of non-binary wirh transexual, even if I probably should have known better, and frankly in hindsight the real goal of my post appears likely to be rather to incorporate appreciation of that other story I mentioned than truly invest thought in the ongoing tread indeed, and even such was probably misguided and subversive, even if good intended. Threshold for my posts here is sometimes quite low, admittedly, but I wouldn't apologize for that as it's still in line of how I expect this space to work. For my ignorance and confusion of concepts I do, for all that's worth, and calling me out on that was fair and deserved, and even necessary. However...

If you’re not familiar with trans and non-binary people, your job is to listen and not to contribute your uneducated opinions.

Frankly, the apparent hostility surprised me indeed, I had to collect myself to not shout right back "then educate me!" But happens I have been clued in how annoying it is to again and again explain seemingly simple things you personally think should be part of common knowledge, so I didn't; not likely I could expect anything except "not my job" back either, especially seeing now how sirhugs had actually explained things right above in different context -- what I somehow overlooked or didn't attribute to own train of thought at that moment. Even just pointing that out could clue me in how obvious my stupidity was, not only me but conceivably other silent readers who could be equally ignorant and lazy, and may not know the difference. It's not that many more words to point out what your main grievances with my post were, in however angry style you would like.

For starters, intersex folks do not appreciate being called the H-word.

A much better answer, actually. I indeed wasn't fully aware it's bad, and although I still don't think I called anyone that directly (as I used the word in musing about possibilities where the specific meaning might, however unlikely, be somewhat applicable, maybe), I think I see how an insult can be constructed and this
"Intersex" is a shorter word than "hermaphrodite" and a more direct/accurate description. Nothing could be plainer.
is logical and solid advice I will try to keep on notice.

I have a new story idea. I’m going to use my imagination to picture what its like to have hetero sex. Then, instead of doing research on what it actually is like, I’m going to just run with it. I’ll introduce some asshole who barges in on the sex to call straight people fascists.

That's not a new idea, not at all, unfortunately. If you look at the stories around here a great many authors seem to have very vague understanding of even anatomy, seemingly primary learning from porn videos at best. Guys ideas about hymen are often strange for example. Sure, it doesn't excuse me anyhow, just reiterating that people are ignorant and lazy in general and there's nothing personal about it.

Alas, you're far more likely to educate people by correcting their confusion, misunderstanding and falsehoods than respectful questions, sometimes against active resistance, sometimes for the umpteen time that day. I know, it's tiresome and irritating, and I may never know how bad. I may or may not apologize to you for general unfairness of universe, doesn't make a difference.

Indeed. And I probably should have, by coming back in I may only have dug myself deeper. But seeing the mess I felt compelled somehow.

Last but not least, thanks missyunderstanding for voicing the question and stickygirl for the beneficial answer. Let that be the positive outcome of my blunder.

(I'm likely naive in misbelief this might conclude the disruption, but that's the intend.)

Um... wow.

Probably better to keep my thoughts to myself about that posting - as will many.

This is an interesting idea. Anyone thought of or found stories about straight dudes with non-binary partners, especially if they came out??? I am asking of course where the dude sleeps with his partner anyway and acts like a decent human being during sex.

You've not mentioned body parts, so we'll assume the straight guy is not too straight and is happy to have his dick in a pussy or an ass. Most of the story dynamics will be him providing an erection and being open-minded about how their relationship develops in the bedroom. Mutual respect will have to be up there, so maybe he feels attracted to them because they are expert in their field - could be science, literature... so straight guy admires them for their brain first: body is secondary. :)

A-fucking-men.

I know i’m posting to a dead thread but I would love to find out if anyone found any stories in this format?
It’s quite similar to what I’m currently going through.
I love femdom content but feel strange sharing it with my partner because of the inherent gendered-ness.
I would love to find some male chasity/male sub with a partner who is non binary, ideally afab/coming out as NB/fem bodied.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No problem , but this forum is for bouncing ideas around and getting other author's ideas.

Here's the forum you need if you're looking for a specific story to read, rather than writing one :)
If you looking for a non-binary partner then Personals is where to go
