Stranded

Brie Ann

She watched Drew and Aaron walk off to do their own thing, Dan and Rebecca were no where in sight. Sighing she stood up and made her way to the beach. Glancing up and down, she didnt find anything of interest. Turning back she headed along the shore, she would take the long way to the cave and check it out from there. She stopped along the way to dig under some big fallen leaves and find something to use as a make shift torch. She found some finally and tucked them under her shirt. Walking her way along, she came to the cave after an hour or hiking around the group of people in the center.
She peered inside again, she couldnt hear anything? But it didnt mean there wasnt something inside. She stepped just inside out of the rain, and pulled out the dry leaves. She would make herself a torch and explore this place...

Dan waded through the waves. He dared not go out paster than his knees, having heard many stories about shakr attacks so close to shore. Still, the water did feel good, and when he finally sat down, it was even better.
His clothes, already wet from the rain, now were soaked, but the sun would vanquish that soon enough.
After he finished this his short little romp in the water, he went back to where the woman sat on the sand. She looked like she was doddling something there.
"So, what are you?"
He took off his shirt, letting it hang on a lower branch that was in the sun.
"I mean, back at the states, are you a business manager or a secretary or something?"
He took off his pants as well. With only his boxers on, he sat beside her, looking off into the deep blue horizon. The sun was wonderful on his nearly bare skin, but he knew he couldn't handle it for long. The last thing he needed was to get burned. Just a few minutes though, to soak in the rays.
God, they felt so good.
He found himself of in his own little word of sun and relaxation, but her voice brought him back.

Rebecca

As we strolled along I was taken aback by not only the beauty that unfolded around me, as we moved through the island forest, but also by the wisdom of his words. I remembered how cold it had been and I realized then just how much he made sense, we would not survive the elements if we were not careful.

I didn't say much as we continued on, just took in the information he was giving and being careful as to were I placed my feet, not wanting them to get all tore up and infected. I was gracious as he helped me over a large rock to the sandy beach.

"There we are, the tide pools." with his words I looked up to see the waves pound relentlessly into the base of the mountains cliff, sending sprays of water ten or so feet in the air. It was a magnificent sight, one more beautiful than I had ever seen. A fear rose within me as he spoke of taking a swim, after what had happened to Mark yesterday I would not venture into the ocean, with a warm smile I declined and sat myself down in the sand.

The sun had emerged from it’s hiding place behind the clouds, lighting and warming everything it touched. Resting back on my elbows, I stretched out my legs and watched as Dan waded in only about knee deep and sat down. My thoughts wandered and I began to doodle little pictures in the sand of what I imagined I would see in Sidney, of things I would have saw on the safari I had been set to go on. I chuckled a little at the thought, I was on somewhat of a safari now, not in a controlled setting with people that new what they were doing but with people who new little more than myself, on an island with little food and little shelter from the weather.

I was startled by his voice. I turned to look at him, a little appalled by the way his question had come out, watching as he removed his shirt, rephrasing his question as he hung it up on a branch. For the business man persona his clothes put forth he seemed pretty trim and fit. I turned my attention the other direction as he began to remove his pants, thinking about how little I had really done with my life.

“I…..umm. I am not any of those. I am a little embarrassed to say that I do not work. I have been married since I was eighteen, we were just recently divorced. I haven’t ever had a job other than planning parties, social events and charity functions for my ex-husband, although most people don’t consider that a job.”

Letting my hand trail through the sand I looked back at him waiting to see if his reaction would be the same as everyone else. People could never believe that I had never gone to college and had never worked a day in my life.

"What about you? What business are you in?"

She wrapped the dried leaves around a stick and lit it. Or tried too. It took a few tries of it lighting and going out, but finally she got it. Irritated, she stomped through the cave and further back. It had some rocks, but mostly a sandy bottom. It kept going back further and further. She glanced over her shoulder, the opening was a little circle by now, and still she hadnt hit the back. She glanced at the torch. It wasn't long until it burned out, She needed to get out of there and tell the others she found this. Walking back, she kept wondering where this cave went? She wished she had a flash light, it would be nice to see more than just a little infront and behind her. Exiting the cave she made her way through the forrest towards where Dan and Rebecca would be about now, or someone.

Dan laid back in the sand, letting it's coolness sink into his back while the warmth grabbed at his front. His slighly pudgy belly would turn a bright red in under an hour.
"What were you a trophy wife or something? This guy just marry you to put you on display?"
He shook his head, never could understand marriage, or love for that matter. The whole woman thing didn't make much sense either, why were they so confusing? Why can't they just tell a guy what in the hell they are thinking?
He shook his head.
"As for me, I'm a..." he paused for a moment, remembering Enron and the shit that had just been pulled.
"... Uhhh, I was an executive but had just retired. Was going to find a nice private island to retire on," he laughed aloud, "Well, looks like I got it."
This was at best mildly ironic, to say the least. Not that it mattered much, he didn't care if he was beyond civilization or a part of it. This was very nice.
"Look," he nodded over, the tide pools were showing again. Only a few rogue waves slpashed up into them.
"Come on, let's go see if we can get anything."

Bye Bye see ya!

This story is over since everything has been solved and taken care of..

We open a resort and bring in prudish females and feed them berries til they hump everything in sight.. The End!
