I think that anyone in any relationship should be themselves with their partner. If it cannot be *that* way, that comfort level, then why try to make it any other way. I would want my partner to accept me just as I am and not require me to sacrifice any part of who I am to be with them, and not to change anything unless it is an actual benefit to the relationship. (for example if one person of the partnership was an alcoholic or compulsive shopper...) neither of which I am anyway. But to go into a relationship with a person of such habit surely would cause problems in most cases.
