Lillian sighed and closed her eyes…and remembered…
Lillian was the oldest, the caretaker, and Lara was the youngest, free spirited and unpredictable. Lara would sometimes disappear for weeks, months at a time. About a year ago, just after she turned 20, she went off on one of her escapades with her current boyfriend—a real creep. Lillian didn’t like him, but was not really worried—Lara could usually handle trouble.
Late one night, out of the blue, Lillian’s phone rang. It was Lara and she was whispering. At first scared out of her wits—the phone just didn’t ring that late without it being an emergency—Lillian couldn’t tell if she Lara was excited, or scared, or high. Lillian became furious with Lara, until she said that things had gotten too bizarre, and she was leaving the creep and coming home. After making Lara promise to call if she needed help, Lillian hung up and eventually fell asleep.
Then, of course, the subsequent nightmare. In a cramped, smoky place, Lara seemed to be involved in some kind of ritual, but she was fighting, screaming for help…
Lillian, shook her head…ah, it hurt too much to go there.
It was shortly after that the trouble began, the attacks, the massacres…by a demon army, led by someone claiming to be Lucifer. But Lillian saw the reports, right before the television stations were wiped out…saw the creature that was leading them. The vile creature that wore her sister’s face…
