The problem with the States is that there are so many people who are vindictive and ignorant. They don't want to see "the others" doing better than themselves which is one of the reasons you have these broke MAGAts voting for politicians who they think will punish those that they despise. Faux news fuels the flames. Then you also have the apathetic couch potatoes who can't bother to exercise their right to vote. That is why we are in this mess. I'm glad Canada didn't fall for it. Carney may be "boring", but boring and capable is what is needed.
I also wish the media would stop calling MAGAts conservatives. People like 47 and Pollievre (The Canadian MAGAt)are NOT conservatives. What they are pushing for is a kakistocracy, full of ineptness and corruption. There is no reason why Medicaid is at risk when a whole billionaire gets millions in government contracts for exploding rockets. It's one thing to push for smaller government, it's another to take away the tiny amount of government funds alloted for the most vulnerable while rewarding billionaires with an insane amount of $$$ from the government.
