try 60-40 both ways. A marrage is not a parnership, in my veiw. It is something new; an unity that is much more than the sum of its parts.
But then I believe that love is an act of the will. Something that you decide to do, and not a mere emotion that sweeps you away, and changes with the weather. Emotion is nessary to start the ball rolling, but it can not maintain it for long.
But surender? no not unless you count surendering to each other.
