Why do people hate Israel so much?

I mean, I can understand why the Ku Kux Klan or the American Nazis might hate Israel, what with all of the obvious anti-Semitism in play, but WHY are so many American liberals ALSO anti-Israeli?

Granted, Israel is a close ally of the United States, and so that alone might make a lot of "Blame America First" libs hate that nation. But Canada, Great Britain, and a lot of other western nations also have close ties to the U.S., and none of them are hated like Israel is.

And then there's the Palestinians. For century after century, the Palestinians have lived under the thumb of some conqueror occupying post-Jewish Palestine, from the Byzantines to the Islamic arabs, Fatamids, Ottomans, and finally the British - until 1947. In other words, the Palestinians have NEVER ruled in Palestine. So WHY are we blaming Israel for that?

While many liberals show fear and/or respect for the Islamic world, the Islamic world itself has never shown any particular respect for the Palestinians. Immediately following the 9/11 attacks on the U.S.A. many Palestinians were shown dancing for joy in the streets of Gaza and on the west bank. And during our conflicts with Saddam Hussein's Iraq, the Palestinians were firmly on the side of Iraq.

Is THAT why so many "Blame America First" political-progressives hate Israel and support the Palestinians? Because the enemy of their enemy is their friend? It really makes no sense.

How is Israel an ally? and how is Palestine an enemy?

Control them? I wouldn't try. I'd withdraw from their territory and fortify the border (which, in this case, is mostly to the west of the Wall, BTW.)

So? There's no real estate of any value in all the world that has not changed hands many times during that period. Does that make all property rights meaningless?

ISIS is a political faction; the Palestinians are an ethnic group. And they are living under a supposedly democratic government in which they have no voice.

But, it doesn't, not unless it makes all "this was our land" claims meaningless. Including the Israelis'. When Zionism started, every plot of land in Palestine had an owner, usually an Arab or a Turk, sometimes a Jew. And the Jewish settlers purchased some and stole some.
