I stayed up and watched one morning, and it was easy to see what the votes were: 5,5,5,4,5, (score was then 4.8) and then suddenly anonymous rang in with "I dont waist my time reeding yer crap" and the score dropped to 4.1. So I don't doubt it was the same asshole who had been harassing me for weeks.

I fail to see the humor... On a site as geared toward writing & reading as this, one need know their audience. I knew I needed to spell 4-letter words incorrectly so that the person I was quoting-&-responding to would be able to understand.

It's one thing to make a typo, it's quite another to call someone out about their typo. And it's yet ANOTHER thing to make one yourself and than say "I meant to do that."

I agree with your statement about making a typo (setting aside the fact it's well-known this site is largely about writing, reading, & commenting about what we've read/written). I also agree with your further statement about calling someone out (which we both did, in addition to sr).

As for your final statement, we may agree or disagree; It matters not, as nobody did that in this case.

I'm just curious how many other authors experience systematic one-bombing combined with exceptionally harsh comments by any-mouse.

It appears to happen to me every so often and it's always the same pattern: the troll will work their way through approximately five or six of my stories, leave a negative comment, and a one-bomb.

I'm not above negative feedback and leaving it in the comment chain. I do, however, have a problem when someone uses the N-word or F-word, especially when it has NOTHING to do with the story.

I don't really want to delete the comment of someone who didn't like a story. But, when any-mouse is systematically going through stories, it's sort of obvious, you know? At this point, the way they word things, their occasional misspellings, wording, etc., it's easy to spot them.

So, I'm curious, how many AH'ers regularly experience this bit of joy? Do you let them have their fun and ignore it or do you take action? Do you delete the offensive comments?

They are complaining that what they bought wasn't worth the amount they paid for it. What did they pay? Nothing!

But I'm being unfair. They HAVE bought the story by investing their time in reading it, particularly if it is one of my multi-litpage marathons. Why did they continue past page 1 if they hated it?

Some skip to the end to bomb a story, I suspect. But I also suspect that this is one of the behaviors that the sweep script is able to detect.

I assume nobody submitted here that hasn't already read one here... They, like everyone else, know what good & bad stories look like...

The question is not for the reader, but the writer: Why waste the time (&, in their case, greater effort) past Page (&/or Chapter) 1 if they were aware of its low quality?!

Why the commentor has to write such long critiques of fetish, when (presumably) he feels threatened by the idea of being bound by women, is beyond me. Yet the same person (apparently - similar phrasing and sentiments) has put similar comments on a dozen of my femdom stories. If you don't like those stories why invest so much effort on comments? Why bother to read oggbashan stories at all?

I never post a story without getting at least one 1-bomb, more often two. Usually I get a snarky anonymous comment at the same time. I think this person works through the BDSM section (maybe others) bombing stories that are approaching 4.5. I've seen the same troll leave comments on other BDSM stories: the person is easy to identify because he/she repeats certain phrases and misspellings......

This guy has left similar comments on several of my stories over the last few years. He's easily remembered due to the similarity. I think I've deleted him in the past.
