We don't have that sport (at least not televised) over here, but our National Football League is just getting started, which is good for us menfolk.

:D

The cricket lasts all day every day for about a week and I can't get my boyfriend to do anything when it's on! Anyway, on a lighter note here's a test for you:

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. This test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line......

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photo's. There are houses and people swirling around you, and some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of it's destructive fury. Suddenly you see a man floundering in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer .... somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realise who it is. It's George W Bush! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under.... forever. You have two options .. you can save the life of GW Bush or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful men.

So here's the question, and please give an honest answer:

Would you select high contrast colour film, or would you go with the classic simplicity or black and white?

I'm sorry if this joke offends anybody, it isn't meant to.

I had a feeling that there would be a twist at the end.

How do you make your Avatar move like that Raw?

It's an animated gif. Basically, a bunch of still shots put together to look like animation.

I stole the av from a site, so I can't take any credit other than liking it enough to use it for my own.

I've very well thanks Mark, looking forward to the weekend - I'm off to meet the rest of the gang from the office in a bit. How are you sweetie?

I'm confused Raw, I know you've explained it but I'm not that technically minded - have you seen the other thread I started today?

I think a high contrast b/w shot would be more dramatic on the AP newswire. However, I think the Secret Service would confiscate not only the camera, but imprison me for a couple of life sentences should I choose to NOT save the bushman. LOL

I'll look at it now.

The animated gif file is just a series of still pictures, the same way an animated cartoon is a series of still pictures. Basically, a series of image files are combined into one bigger file and shown in order repeatedly.

Hiya heather!

Heres something you asked for hope its okay im new to all of this. Is bad quality as taken of web cam, maybe you would like to view privately? xxxx

Hi mighty, how are you on this dreary morning? I had a lovely weekend despite the weather being miserable, there is one plus side to all the rain, I spent most of yesterday in bed with John.

Hi FillyGal,

How are you doing? Thought would short introduce me and say a quick Hi to you. I see you on many threads - but thought would say Hi to you here:)

Nice Av - and hope all cool with you - are you in the UK too? Or in the USA? I know - could be a silly questiong, but you're timing for this thread seems to be around the time when us UKers are about - or it is very late in the USA?

Sorry if I got that wrong, didn't mean to offence, just curious. :)

All the best,

:rose:

Cool - sorry - how are you doing in that case? My geography of the USA isn't that great, but thought I would enquire and hope that nobody you know or family and friends of yours were affected by the mass flooding in New Orleans?

Hear it alot in the news here - but good to hear that it is on the up now, or rather the water is starting to decrease now. Thank goodness. :)

Anyhow - hope u enjoy the rest of your time up, before heading to sleep. :)
