Taking the plune

According to Nigel, in a PM, when asked by Ran57gr, he has not removed any pics and doesn't know what's going on. So, unless the site owners are bypassing him and not telling him about it, we're propably looking at a glitch or overloaded server(s).

If the site owners were doing it, there'd be a systematic form to it rather than apparent randomness.

Glad to hear it isn't the moderators....

A lot of people in a lot of threads have been upset by pics disappearing. I didn't think it was the moderator, because there was no message left behind saying "Removed for such-and-such reason," which is the classy way to do it (if you have to do it at all) and Lit is a classy operation!

some very explicit pics are remaining up and some very mild ones are disappearing.. it COULD be a hacker getting in but I think its the lit people covering their asses and fuck the conservative right wing assholes.. we will end up with our form of the Taliban running this country they will cut off your hands for mastubating ..the censorship is insane whoever is responsible for it..it should be against the law for anyone to do what they are doing..there should be a simple way of proving or signing a statement allowing you to post pics of yourself or whatever . I am not in favor of underage pornography but the attempts to control that should not impede the lives of consenting adults,... Fight it everyone iof us

America was founded by Puritans who left England because it was too liberal. I guess the Puritans are still running America. If you vote for right-wing moralists like G.W., don't be surprised when things like Literotica start getting shut down. Separation of church and state might exist in your Constitution, but not in real life.

Up here in Canada, our Supreme Court just adjusted the laws about obscenity so that they focus on harm rather than on social morals. The courts ruled that orgies, swinging, sex-clubs, and other forms of private sexual activity between mutually consenting adults CANNOT be considered obscene and is definitely not illegal.
So come on up here, folks. The party is just getting started.

I do wish you people would take some time to check facts. All the legislation to limit porn is being introduced by the left. Get a grip.

After all the checking done by myself and other fellow literoticans this is not about this at all! This is a glich in the system! I can't believe how everyone gets carried away by this!

My apologies to Heather for cluttering the thread up more, but I felt I had to respond to these two . . .

And I thought the U.S.'s education system had problems when it comes to history. The U.S. was not founded by Puritans. Much (but not all) of New England was founded by Puritans. The rest was founded by: 1) English criminals, 2) English debtors, 3) other non-Puritan English Protestants, 4) Spanish Catholics, 5) French Catholics, 6) French/English fur trappers, 7) European adventurers, 8) Dutch explorers. The one mind bit of correctness here is that the Puritans did have an inordinate influence on our government in its earliest stages, through their descendants (seeing as they no longer truly existed as an entity per se by the 1770s). Mostly in terms of a theoretical work ethic. Today's fundamentalists in the U.S. are mostly Baptists, usually from the South, and typically the descendants of 19th century immigrants or the debtors sent here from England.

There are so many fallacies in this "simple" statement that I have no clue where to start. Not that it'd make a difference since you probably wouldn't read it anyway. Especially since "history" is a bad four-letter word for nearly all conservatives (at least in my experience on family, local, and federal levels). However, one need only point to the U.S. obscenity law which had James Joyce's Ulysses banned in the country (put in place by conservatives, overturned by a "liberal wacko" judge) to get the point. Which is not to say that exceptions don't exist (Tipper Gore leading the push to ban obscene languagein music, though in fairness, her co-sponsor was "wacko conservative" Charlton Heston).
