Ouch, hope you get better. I have a friend with Lymes, and his doctor thought at first that he just had a run-of-the-mill virus, so he kept getting worse and worse until they finally ran some blood tests.

It's good to hear your doing better though. Being in the hospital is no fun at all. I was in for about 4 days last year with pancreatitis. I'm convinced that the way they 'cure you' is by making your life so miserable there that you just want to go home to feel better! :rolleyes:
 
So true. With my own experience, they had me on a bed that had some sort of self inflating air mattress instead of a regular mattress, and it kept alternating between letting me sink through it and pumping itself back up under me about every 5-10 minutes. between that and someone coming in to take my blood pressure or stick me to test my blood sugar or change my IV or give me some meds to take, I was just about crazy enough to murder someone by the end of the first night!

And of course, they couldn't coordinate between them so that they just came in together and did everything at once, then leave me alone for a couple hours. Oh no! They had to come in separately, about every 10-20 minutes to wake me up!
 
First off, best wishes to Tears. Get better damn it:).

Also just want it perfectly clear that I am none too sure about this whole new 52 thing DC's doing.

You mean like how they decided that it's the history that keeps people from reading comics, not the fact that most comics are crap and primarily target 14 year old boys?
Or is it how insulting to women some of the new titles are?
Or is it that you can't believe the train wreck that is Hawk And Dove?

Oh the list goes on...
I do love how Batman slaps Green Lantern around, though

LMAO! I just giggle at the sexism parts. I didn't even touch Hawk and Dove or Firestorm. But I'm a bit pissed with Legion and Legion Lost.

Well, the sexism is just...stupid. How can you try and attract female readers when half your female characters do nothing but pose all sexy? I mean, I love looking at Starfire, sure, but couldn't you make her, y'know, more hero, less sex toy?

Anyhow, I haven't gotten to Legion yet. Hawk And Dove is worth reading just to see how bad it can get. I mean, it's PAINFUL (what the he'll are they doing with their own book in the first place, much less a launch title)

I get my books on Tuesday (I ordered a whole passle online & decided to get them all at once) so I haven't read a single one yet.

& Tears, get to feeling better.
