Technical (site related) question

I've looked around and there doesn't seem to be a thread for technical problems. Sorry if there's something I've overlooked.

For some reason when I try to use links in peoples posts. be they links to other sites/threads or pic indexes. it takes me to a log in screen. despite the fact that I was logged in already. when I try to enter my info again and hit enter it just seems to refresh the log in screen page. Before trying the link it says Welcome, Prophegy. in the top right corner as it should so I know I'm logged in.

Anyhow, any help would be appreciated. (all my info is correct, and my account has been registered.)

You came to the right place.

My first thought is that you need to clear your cookies, temporary internet files/cache, close your browser, shut down and turn on your computer (don't use restart - actually turn it off then on again; I'm not sure why, but sometimes this fixes glitches like this, even when it doesn't seem like it will) , then open you browser and see if the links work.

Otherwise, it may help us if you tell us what browser you're using (and does it do it in another browser; i.e. if you're using firefox, do you have the same problem in IE?), and what you're running in terms of antivirus, antispyware and a firewall, as sometimes those can screw things up.

When you log into the forums, make sure you check "remember me."

vBulletin, the forum software, times out after about 15 minues of inactivity. If you take too long to read a long hread or compose a reply, the software thinks you've gone somewhere else and logs you out.

The "remember me" option when you log in causes the software to automatically log you back in if it has timed out.
