Terrorists have nothing to really live for. No college, hardly an education, can't become actors (whatever).

While much of the world has expanded and offered opportunities to their people, a fair portion hasn't or refuses to, so becoming a soldier offers opportunities for advancement from a shitty life or escape from a life in a desert where you can be executed for making a joke.
