oggbashan said:They don't here. They are open 10am to 10.30pm. Public Houses usually open at 11am on Sundays and stay open to 11pm.
They close the supermarkets after 3pm but the convenience stores are still open.
If you are really desperate to buy drink after 10.30pm on Sundays, hop on a ferry to France. Bona fide 'travellers' can drink 24/7 while in transit. Return trips for a foot passenger can be as low as one pound sterling for special offers. They also do 'park and shop' - drive your car on the ferry, shop on board, wait in the bar while they unload the genuine travellers, shop some more and drive off (if you can) when the ferry returns to Dover. The downside is the police car with breathalyser waiting outside the docks.

I am a licensee under the current legislation. As an existing licensee I have preserved rights (Grandfather rights) to any type of liquor/entertainment licence after the new laws are in force.
I think I'll organise a permanent 24/7 rave near Dover. The ferries can bring the booze. A dozen heavy trucks a day might be enough. Music? Who cares?

Imagine you have no family to spend time with, no pet and you don't go to church.
If so, could there be a day more boring then sunday ???
