Telling people about Lit

No, no, no! We love our anal posting whore. Or our posting anal whore. Or our anal whore poster, whatever. Keep it up, that's my basic message.

My friends already know I'm dirty; I'm like Butt-Head around them. ("Huh-huh, you said hard.") But I don't need them to know how dirty. I certainly wouldn't want to explain my screen name, that's for damn sure. I'm considering telling one friend I grew up with who lives states away from me. He knows far more about my sexual history than anyone. But even though we've shared his SO on a few wonderful occasions I still don't think he's open-minded enough to feel comfortable here.

Because my mouth often blurts before my brain acts, I've been close to telling friends about shit I've seen here when they mention a similar topic in RL. I don't like censoring myself, and that's compounded by the fact that there really are so many bright, helpful and truly funny things written here that it's a shame I don't feel safe sharing.

You'd better not!

I agree that it is quite a dilemma. We want our anaonymity and yet we also know that some of our friends would also enjoy reading some of the OTHER things posted here.

I guess the best case scenario is they already know about Lit & are here under their own pseudonym! For all I know I could be flirting here on Lit with that gorgeous redhead I saw at the corner market yesterday.

We can only hope.

I have let a few friends know, and my current partner knows as we met on here. My dad knows about it, but that's about it for my family. I will not let my sisters know about it, they are too young and innocent...

If it is someone that I feel safe/open about talking about sex or porn with, then I will let them know about it if the topic comes up.

I am who I am, and my Lit persona and my offline persona are one and the same.

just a few

I've shared with a few friends, ones I really really trust. Would I with a mate? ummmmm this is viewed more as my private time. :D

My husband is the only one who knows about Lit in my life.

He has his own id....and posts (he's usually on GB, ummm...errr 'discussing' something political).

As I use avatars that feature my face, I do often hope my neighbours haven't discovered Lit too!

Do people in your life know you read/post on Lit? If so, how close are they and how much do they know about you? What made you decide to tell or not tell about your presence here?

I don't tell ANYONE because I want this to be a place where I can feel free to be completely open, but at the same time there are people I'd like to share this place with. What are your thoughts on this?

I believe LIT like anyother place I go in R/L or on the net is nothing to be ashamed aboutbut it's only the ppl who think as I do about openly being honest about sex that I tell about it specially as I use my pic for AV's I post anywhere I feel is of interest to me & stuff who knows but can also respect others wanting their ID kept secret too.
