There's a good little band playing at Heads & Tails in Kemah tonight...9pm to 1am. Too much work and not enough sleep has obliterated the name of the band from my mind at the moment. Don't bother calling Heads & Tails...the idiot that answered the phone thought that "TBA" on the calendar meant the name of the band was TBA. A contact of mine through work told me about it...the only reason I know...

Edit...my contact says they are lots of fun...old school R&B, Motown, Funk, Blues, dance and party music.

The band was really great. It's a shame the rain kept so many people away. Still, we managed to get the cops called out due to the noise levels at the bar

haven't been in a neighborhood bar since i lived in Houston, in the Heights. lots of live music, I don't know where to go in Dallas though.

I love live music...just don't like the big crowds at a lot of the places in Houston. I make an effort to go to the Mucky Duck once a year to see my favorite Celtic band. Last year, sat next to a table where a couple of men were shouting over the music about Nascar. The guys were up on stage staring at them...they could hear the bastards over their own music.

I don't know about music venues in Dallas...haven't been up there in years. Maybe someone else here will give you some hints
