The last few of days it thunders like crazy but the skies never actually open. I'm stuck watering my sod once the sun goes down.

Oh, simple enough. It just sounds as though you have not yet done the "Naked In The Front Yard Rain Dance". That would be your problem. Now you know, you can fix that right up

See, now that's where you would be wrong. I have done the "Naked in the Front Yard Rain Dance". No worky.
Perhaps if I do it during daylight hours? I've been doing it at midnight so as not to shock my 80 year old neighbors.

I believe 7:50 AM is the optional time. It ensures nobody actually stops their car, as they are all late for work at that point. After all, the Naked in the Front Yard Rain Dance is strictly a solo affair. At least, that is what you will have to tell the 80 year old neighbor when he tries to join you!
