Yes - did an art show on just this type of thing. Derogatory word attributed to females with no male equivalent. Derogatory in the context of cultural usage. Consider slut. Even if applied to a male, it still isn't as derogatory as being apllied to a woman (aside from in sex of course).
Blah - blah - blah - it was a good art show
