Mariposa does mean butterfly so I can see it meaning fag; in Mexico City mostly maricon is used. Re. Spanish slang there are great variations by country. Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Columbians, etc., all have many words in common, but many their own. Of course then there is Spain .

i was lucky, there will never be another like him. i wish that were the case for some others. language can be such a mirror of someone's soul. not only in word choice but delivery. it was a bad experience from which i not only bore a child but i believe attained knowledge i could not have gained any other way. sometimes life will slap you upside the head to get your attention and as painful as that can be, some of the most important life lessons are learned that way. i consider those lessons his gift to a daughter he will never know. so much the worse for him and so much the better for her.

How about punk, motherfucker, asshole, dipshit, shithead or jackoff. The only racial slur that has much sting is redneck, and that is mild compared to slurs addressed to other races. Ethnic slurs should be counted like polack, bohunk, dago, kraut, frog, spic (for people of Iberian descent) greaseball, limey, or mick. Some of these, of course, are not particularly intended for men and some are not particularly intended for white people only.
