It's not rigged, it's just that nobody's really interested apart from writers wanting to see themselves nominated. Hence the large number of people either nominating themselves or logging on as a virgin alt to nominate themselves (with humble apologies to any readers posting for the first time expressly to nominate a story they've enjoyed - I'm hoping there's at least some of you )

Welcome to the 11th Annual Literotica Reader's Choice Award Nominations! In this round, you will have the chance to nominate your favorites in 6 special categories. At the end of the nomination period, we willclose down the nominations and whittle them down[/u] to 4 in each category.

Of course when you read the above the first question that springs to mind is: Who are “the we” who will whittle them down?

The second question is: What criteria do “the we” use to whittle them down?

In this category I nominated the wonderful EMILY.

Here are some other nominees:

She has been nominated 9 times! (Although every nomination was made by a person who has made less than 5 posts. Alts? Friends?) And the good QUEEN faces a problem with this one – Victoria appeared in 2008. Can she even be accepted into the 2009 competition? I think not!

The Narrator from the Audio story Dancing With You by theravenfox 19 nominations!

And then the same authors nominated by the same posters as in the Sexiest Male category: HRKW, Dr Mabuse 2 (AH clubbers), secretfantasy69, jaymal (payback), pepperpace, etc.

Some 17 different female characters have been nominated so far. Two aren’t eligible under the rules. That leaves 15. And the QUEEN will choose 4. On what basis? No one knows.

So why mr scouriese EMILY? Well LAUREL , when you get down to “whittling” down the nominations for the READERS CHOICE awards here’s what the readers thought of EMILY (THEY LOVED HER!):

I see we have more whining, bitching and moaning about soular's nominations, as well as those of others. Pathetic. Again pathetic.

Victoria Davis appeared in four chapters of Seven Days that made their entrance on Literotica in 2009, not in 2008. I see no way the character could fail to be eligible for nomination.

And enough harping on the number of posts made by readers making nominations. Irrelevant. Totally irrelevant.

Nic and Victoria, both nominated by you and your friends for 2009 Sexiest Male and Female, debuted as far as I can see in Seven Days Ch. 1 which was published on LITEROTICA in November 2008. They also appeared in Chapters 2-6 which also came out in 2008.

And yes, they returned in 2009 in chapters 7-10.

Certainly nominating these two for 2009 is wrong and contrary to the spirt of the contest. Will it be allowed by the QUEEN . That's her call but to me the correct decision is clear: THROW THEM OUT!

If she doesn't they'll probably be nominated by the same 10 ALTS and reappear in next years contest due to some 2009 sequel.

For the record, I agree that the decision as to awards eligibility will be up to the powers that be at Literotica, and to no one else. I simply stated my opinion on the matter as a rebuttal to yours, with which I strenuously disagree. The idea that a character is eligible only in the year the character initially appears on Literotica, and never again, makes no sense to me.

Also for the record, I did not state that the characters Victoria Davis and Nic Andretti debuted on Literotica in 2009. I stated they appeared in four chapters of Seven Days which debuted on Literotica in 2009. When the characters debuted is irrelevant, in my opinion.

And also for the record, I made no nomination for sexiest male. I left that to others better able to judge that particular matter.
