The 12th Annual Literotica Award Nominations: Most Influential Writer

I don't think it is about who has written in the most categories, or who has written the most stories. To be an influential writer means that you have inspired us, encouraged us and had an impact on our lives as a reader.

To self nominate goes against what the category is about ie: "In this category, please nominate the writer who affected YOU the most in 2010"

It is fantastic that your readers are nominating you, that says that you have made an impact but maybe you should relook at your own vote and see who has inspired YOU. Let your own work and your readers speak on your behalf instead of your current self promotion.

You are so right!

I nominate Cedar_Needle.

She has been a huge inspiration to me, so much so I named a character in her honour.

I love her writing and the way she has supported me endlessly throughout 2010 and kept me true my characters by telling me when I'd given them a personality transplant halfway through a story.

I nominate Andtheend.

She's the best writer on the site.

She can write about anything and not only make it erotic but also interesting.

I nominate Andtheend. I love her stories, especially the incest ones.

Spending the Summer Stripping My Mom was hot and very well written.

No matter which category she writes, all of her stories are sizzling hot.

Good luck in the contest, Susan.

For tackling the challenge laid out by Ho-Z and giving us something really amazing to believe in. Your Wheels of Steel work has been incredible and definitely changed how I perceive things in the world.

O dear the annual battle of the Alts again. It's like tag-wrestling isn't it? Which fraud will end up outside of the ring this time?

Thought it was the writer who had INFLUENCED you that you are suppose to nominate!!!

Bit big-headed to nominate yourself I think personally!!

Since, andtheend, bostonfictionwriter, superheroralph, PositiveThinker, and WmForrester are all the same person.... Which one are they actually nominating since Freddie seems to have nominated himself five times.

Please give me the honor of officially nominating Andtheend as the most influential author for 2010--a very remarkable author.

I challenge her to write a How To on modesty. I know she can pull it off as a work of non-fiction.:D

Mentalcase

A compelling, well-written and visually coherent series of stories in the incest/taboo category. Mentalcase has created a great larger story line with enough silliness, white-hot sex and intrigue to keep readers glued to the series. Poor guy's getting hassled for not writing fast enough.

Definitely the big star in 2010. BaronDeSade and a few other veterans also made some great contributions, but Mentalcase, this year, seems to have everyone beaten by a country mile.

Her writing style is refreshing and realistic drawing the reader into the story, making you feel as if you're looking into the lives of friends and not characters she's created. And then there's Wheels of Steel. Wow, if you haven't read it, please do. Her writing ability and this story have indeed helped me to be a better person, a more open and understanding person, especially of individuals with disabilities.

Thank you Pep for being you and gifting us with your talent.

Seriously... oh that is funny! Damn it why didn't I think of that so that "someone" would nominate me LMAO!!!!

JazCullen gets my nomination

I nominate JazCullen.

I'd been visiting Lit on and off for several months, but it was her were/vamp series (Fighting the Inevitable -- The Assignment -- When Worlds Collide -- The Council) that made me finally sign up for an account with Lit -- just so I can use Lit's Favorites feature to find them again! How's that for influence?

A simple visit to her Lit Submissions page will further illustrate why I think she deserves this award. You'll find 65 submissions, all posted throughout 2010 from January to December, and each submission is tagged with a vivid red "H." Her stories have kept readers returning to the site week after week throughout 2010 because she publishes new installments in a consistent manner. She's not a one-hit wonder.

You'll also find her name scattered throughout Lit in the stories of other writers who wish to acknowledge and publicly thank her for her help. While she has not helped me with my own writing, I've seen how she is unselfish with her talent: she helps fledgling writers find their voice, connects writers to potential editors, helps brainstorm ideas for getting out of tough plot corners, and is all around supportive when the writer's block hits. So not only does she influence her readers, she's influencing other writers as well.

So for all the reasons cited above, I firmly believe JazCullen deserves to be Lit's Most Influential Writer of 2010.

Andtheend is the best writer for 2010. I nominate her for the most influential writer. I was influenced to writer by what she wrote.

Personally I could not give a flying fig if they are one in the same writer (altho if they are then whoever it is is a very sad person to invent so many persona's, especially as at least one seems to be set up to just enter comps/noms (and on reading them the stories are all the same, not very erotic either)).
My point is this is who has influenced YOU to read, write and dream througout 2010. Not the self glorification catagory.

I just received an e-mail from someone, it doesn't matter who, lambasting me for nominating myself.

How dare I nominate myself, when I only have 89 stories and 2 poems written in all of 2010? Further, I only have 4 red H's. Who the Hell am I?

Well, I'll tell you who I am. I am the most prolific writer on Literotica, without exception. Most of my red H's have been erased by those writers who don't like a writer who is so prolific and/or who don't like me.

I've posted more than 900 stories, 100 poems, am approaching 6 million words, and have amassed more than 30,000,000 hits.

I am the only writer ever nominated for both the most influential writer and the most influential poet in 2008. No other writer was nominated in both categories.

I am Andtheend, Bostonfictionwriter, Carbuffstuff, PostiveThinker, WmForrester, and now for 2011 SuperHeroRalph.

I came in 2nd place in Literotica's Survivor contest in 2007 and 2008, 6th place in 2009, and I'm again in 2nd place for 2010.

For those who don't know what the Surivivor contest is, it's the most stories written in the most categories wins.

From October 2009-October 2010, I had the most read story with nearly 600,000 hits, I Love You Mommy, written by WmForrester.

I've published two E-books, a dozen short stories in raunchy men's magazines, and have a new story coming out in Nancy Armstrong's Big Bad Ass Book of Sex published by Barnes & Nobel.

Nonetheless, why am I the most influential writer for 2010 or for any year? Show me another writer who has done more for this site and it's readership than me for free.

I get better every year. For the Valentine's contest that begins January 20th, when most other writers only enter one or two stories, I already have 25 stories written and ready to post.

I never win a contest, of course. The contests here are not for the best story or the best writer. The contests here are popularity contests.

Who am I?

I am the most influential writer for 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

You know it and I know it. Show me another writer who has written more and better stories than me.

I won't win the most influential writer for 2010, but it doesn't matter. Some obscure, new writer will win by registering a hundred new identities. You just have to look to see how many posts all these new names have that are nominating one certain person, one and two posts for all of 2010.

What matters to me is the story. It's always about the story. It's being disciplined every day to write from 5:30am until 11:30am, without fail. My passion is writing. I love it.

If you look at my stories from 2007, until now they improve every year. I may not be the best editor or even the best writer on the site. There are some great writers who go unrecognized, as they only write a few stories and don't blow their horn in the way that I must do now to be recognized and appreciated for all that I've done for Literotica and for myself, in the process.

You don't have to like me to respect what I've done and all that I've accomplished here. I'm proud of myself. I've grown to become a better writer.

My advice to those writing their first story, just do it. Just write and fuck what others write about you. They're just jealous.

It's not about them. It's not even so much about you. It's about the story. You must write the story. The story needs to be written. Develop your characters because, when you do, your writing suddenly becomes inspired.

Happy New Year. I can't wait to start posting my stories for 2011. They my best stories ever and now written under the name of SuperHeroRalph.
