New Republican impeachment strategy goes down in flames before first witness is called

So much whining!

In private speech, Bolton suggests some of Trump's foreign policy decisions are guided by personal interest

The former national security director was especially critical of the president's handling of Turkey, according to multiple sources present for his remarks.

Former national security adviser John Bolton derided President Donald Trump’s daughter and son-in-law during a private speech last week and suggested his former boss’ approach to U.S. policy on Turkey is motivated by personal or financial interests, several people who were present for the remarks told NBC News.

According to six people who were there, Bolton also questioned the merits of Trump applying his business acumen to foreign policy, saying such issues can’t be approached like the win-or-lose edict that drives real estate deals: When one deal doesn’t work, you move on to the next.

Bolton also said his "NEW BOOK" would have more details! Be sure to read it!:)

The comment that you can't handle international diplomacy the same way you manage a real estate deal is something I've been saying for years.
A lot of the public who supported trump, and those who still do, were attracted because he wasn't a career politician and seemed above all the double talk and forked tongue that goes with the professional politician. Also the public accepted his claim to being a successful businessman who was one of the best, if not the best, hard nosed negotiator in the world and that this combined with his business acumen would make America great again.

But... It hasn't worked. Irrespective of how his base regard him at home, trump has made the USA the laughing stock of the world. When you're the only person around the table that can't participate intelligently in the world of international diplomacy you quickly become irrelevant. Also, being a hard nosed businessman who has focussed on self interest his entire life, (which in the world of business is not a bad thing in itself), finds this skill suddenly becomes a distinct disadvantage when you haven't the intellectual capacity to distinguish between self interest and national interest.

And all of that is saying nothing of the business leader's inclination to see people as employees, resources to be used for economic advantage. Well in politics people ain't resources. They're citizens, with rights, values and expectations. They also have power, through their vote and their elected representatives and can wield this power against leaders who disrespect them.

Bring on the live hearings. Let's see who, in the senate have the political courage to tell the citizens who elected them that they are not deserving of respect.

Rudy's Confess-A-Crime Podcast Will Be Just Like Build-A-Bear, Except Crimes Not Bears!

POP QUIZ: If you were a person serving as the unpaid lawyer to the most criminal president in American history, AND you were also under federal investigation and just had to retain defense lawyers because of your extracurricular activities in pressuring foreign countries to meddle in the 2020 election campaign for the benefit of that president, AND your Ukrainian-American Chucklefuck pals who were part of that scheme were under indictment and living in Ankle Bracelet Jail, AND you had a well-known propensity for accidentally confessing your crimes and your president's crimes whenever you go on TV or when your ass texts a reporter or when your fingers text a reporter or when your ass calls a reporter or when your mouth calls a reporter, ON A SCALE OF ONE TO "LOL OH MY GOD NO" ...

How much should you start a podcast?

Where you'll have zero adult supervision and can just ... say things?

And you will not have 17 hot dogs in your mouth at all times to prevent you from just ... saying things?

Yeah well nobody ever accused Rudy Giuliani of having good judgment:

Oh Rudy, that's a gooooood Idea!

Well, to tell the truth, Trump doesn't handle his real estate deals all that well (or ethically or legally) either.

Well, I see you fell off your meds again, you need that stuff to help control your TDS. Most americans are sick to death of the Obama style apology diplomacy. Sick of the usual politics. I think, that before Trump, Americans were feeling like they were the butt end of world politics, many Americans didn't feel they had a leadership team that went to bat for them. Middle America voted for Trump because they saw someone who had their back.

You can say what you want about the guy but voters rally behind him because he's the barrier that separates them from the looney toons. They feel that he's fighting for them. They know he can't be bought by other countries. It's not about world diplomacy, it's about jobs, economy, defending our law enforcement, a better place for our vets, defending our borders and holding leaders and countries accountable . Most Americans are sick of endless wars and he knows that. He's for a strong military, one we hope to never use but is there if needed

Laughing Stock! Really! Who: France, Germany, your Queen, maybe China, do you think they're laughing? How about Greece? Maybe Italy, maybe Mexico or Canada. He openly says America first and applauds them when they return the same response for their own countries. Words out by the IAEA that Iran's been cheating right along, if that report is true a lot of EU countries are going to have egg on their face. The EU supported that deal for selfish reasons, to pad their own economies. You stated in an earlier post that many countries hope we get out of the ME, I hope we do too, We ask for countries to take their ISIS countryman back and they refuse, bad move with the BAD MAN. Next time ISIS raises its ugly head you handle it. You're all a bunch of arrogant fucks. The minute the Russian start saber rattling or the Chinese start running warships in your seas, well you'll do like what you've always done, hide behind the U.S.!

And all of that is saying nothing of the business leader's inclination to see people as employees, resources to be used for economic advantage. Well in politics people ain't resources. He doesn't see citizens as anything other than citizens, voters who want something other than the same ole shit. He rags on politicians and the media, the very people who have been chanting for his impeachment before he was even inaugurated. I don't carry water for Trump but I consider myself fair minded but what going with the left is impeachment by coup, by party. Many investigations are going to mature during peak campaign season, bring on the hearings.

Bring on the live hearings. Let's see who, in the senate have the political courage to tell the citizens who elected them that they are not deserving of respect.

Talk about sandbagging the senate: COURAGE, NO! FAIRNESS!

And you know everyone is wondering just how much Trump’s decisions have to do with self-interest.

President Donald Trump reportedly wants his own, hand-picked Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) Michael Atkinson out of a job due to Atkinson's handling of the intelligence community whistleblower complaint about Trump's alleged quid ...

Of course he does. If someone sent him a position paper a la Barr they’d be welcomed to the team.

‘This is incredibly significant’: Legal expert says Roger Stone trial just revealed ‘real evidence’ against Trump

Former Trump campaign official Rick Gates on Tuesday testified that President Donald Trump told him in 2016 that more damaging information would soon come out about Hillary Clinton shortly after he got off the phone with Roger Stone, who at the time was trying to secure details of future WikiLeaks releases.

This testimony seems to contradict written testimony from President Donald Trump in which he said he had no recollection of ever discussing WikiLeaks with Roger Stone during the 2016 campaign.

Trump has no recollection of bribery or collusion or anything bad, but he has the Best Brain!:)

You're not wrong, but I was using a little poetic licence to make a point.

I don't think any opportunity should be given up to dangle before the eyes of the board Trumpettes that Donald Trump is a totally failed human being.

‘Devastating testimony’: Experts stunned after Bill Taylor drops an ‘unexpected bombshell’ at impeachment hearing

Ambassador Bill Taylor on Wednesday dropped a new bombshell during impeachment hearings in the House of Representatives.

During his testimony, Taylor revealed one of his aides had overheard a conversation between President Donald Trump and European Union ambassador Gordon Sondland in which the president pressed the ambassador to get Ukraine on board with “the investigations” into former Vice President Joe Biden.

A sort of small calibre bombshell, considering.

‘I would not defend such a policy’: Impeachment witness Taylor describes fierce confrontation with Pompeo over Ukraine

“I saw in withholding military aid to Ukraine at a time when hostilities were still active in the east and when Russia was watching closely to gauge the level of American support for the Ukrainian government,” he said. “The Russians, as I said at my deposition, would love to see the humiliation of President Zelenskyy at the hands of the Americans. I told the Secretary that I could not and would not defend such a policy.”

That's better Bill Taylor, get Pompeo's role exposed!

3D-Printed Guns

A federal judge in Washington state ruled Tuesday that the Trump administration violated federal law when it decided to allow a Texas company to publish files on the internet showing how to use a 3-D printer to create guns and gun components.

A telling moment from the impeachment hearing suggests Trump has an insurance policy on Mike Pence

Why don’t Republicans just give up and cut Donald Trump loose? That question has been on the minds of most political observers since the beginning of Trump’s presidency, and it’s only grown more intense in the wake of scandal after scandal after scandal, in which the lying, cheating, grifting, thieving sleazebag who bigoted his way into the White House continues to make fools of everyone who supports and defends him.

But there’s a strong alternative explanation: Republicans have good reason to fear that if Trump goes down, he’s taking Vice President Mike Pence with him. If that happens, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who is third in line under the Constitution, would become president. Republicans may be genuinely worried that they can’t toss Trump to the curb without losing the White House entirely.

Trumpypants implicated Pence, Pompeo, Barr, and Rudy, so they are all in it for the duration or prison! Rethug's fear a Pelosi presidency, even with a Rethug Senate, which means Rethug's are shielding Trump for all they are worth.

Pelosi smacks down Fox News reporter’s question — and hilariously explains to Trump what ‘exculpatory’ means

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday smacked down Fox News reporter Chad Pergram after he insinuated that House Democrats seemed “excited” about the prospect of impeaching President Donald Trump.

During a press conference, Pergram asked Pelosi, “Why would the public not think that the House is dead set on a course to impeach the president when all of this milieu was going on?”

“All this milieu is a seeking of the truth,” she replied. “It’s called an inquiry.”

Pelosi at this point turned to the camera and seemed to address Trump directly.

“And if the president has something that is exculpatory — Mr. President, that means if you have anything that shows your innocence — then he should make that known,” she said. “And that’s part of the inquiry. So far we haven’t seen that.”

Pelosi then went on to say that, based solely on the evidence gathered so far, what the president has done “makes what Nixon did look almost small.”

Tricky Dick just covered up his crime, Trump admitted it and then said, "Catch me fuck me." Dem's are doing just that, slowly so the Trump Chumps can catch up.:)

Weeks ago I suggested that the Democrats make a deal with the Republicans to leave Pence be as president with the understanding he doesn't run in 2020--and just dump Trump together. Don't tell him enough Republicans in the Senate have agreed to vote against him to dump him until it's done--and then just keep Pence as a lame duck for a few months, telling him they'll make him a dead duck if he then doesn't just waddle off.

Yes, I saw her lean into the camera and directly give Donald the third-graders definition of "exculpatory." Yes, I laughed. I expected to hear more laughter in the room.

But why aren't the Democrats more directly and often responding to the "second hand witnesses" deflection by challenging Trump and associates to show up to give their first-hand witnessing? And Donald can't have a face-to-face with the whistleblower (which is irrelevant now anyway) if Donald won't show up to hold up his end of the explaining.

Trump declares impeachment ‘dead’ — and demands apology — in late night Twitter outburst

Eight minutes before midnight eastern time, Trump unloaded.

Trump wrote, “Democrats must apologize to USA: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said that ‘United States Ambassador Gordon Sondland did NOT link financial military assistance to a request for Ukraine to open up an investigation into former V.P. Joe Biden & his son, Hunter Biden. Ambassador Sondland did not tell us, and certainly did not tell me, about a connection between the assistance and the investigation.’”

Trump did not say why he was taking the word of a foreign official over multiple sworn testimonies from members of his own administration.

“THE FAKE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY IS NOW DEAD!” Trump declared, in all capital letters.

Oh, fuck off Donnie!:D
