The 149th Week of Donald's Derp

Here’s how Trump’s attempt to distance himself from Giuliani could blow up his last remaining legal shield

On CNN Wednesday, national security analyst Susan Hennessey discussed how President Donald Trump’s apparent new attempts to throw his attorney Rudy Giuliani under the bus could end very badly for him.

“It isn’t plausible here at all that the president wasn’t directing or aware of what Giuliani was doing,” said Hennessey. “We know that because Giuliani’s name came up multiple times in that phone call between Trump and Selensky. Now, that said, it does appear that Rudy Giuliani was also pursuing his own financial interest. This is a pattern we see in less developed democracies in which you have corrupt governments, individuals both carrying out the abuse of conduct of leaders and also trying to make a buck on the side.”

“One of the reasons you could claim attorney-client privilege is you could say, I was representing my client, right?” agreed correspondent Evan Perez. “And one of the excuses you could use for not providing any information on that. But if you’re now — if the president is now saying, look, I don’t know what he was doing, he wasn’t just representing me, then I think that opens certainly a little bit of — cracks open the door for prosecutors or someone to want to know, so who were you doing this for? This doesn’t wash anymore.”

So with Rudy under the bus, will he dump on the Trumpster?:D

Appeals court temporarily halts congressional subpoena for Don McGahn’s testimony — and fast-tracks hearing

On Wednesday, the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit issued a one-week stay of a lower court ruling compelling former White House Counsel Don McGahn to comply with a congressional subpoena for his testimony, responding to the Justice Department’s appeal.

The court argues the matter must be reviewed because it poses significant questions for constitutional checks and balances.

While the stay is in effect, the court will decide whether to issue a longer-term hold on the ruling. Oral arguments are being expedited, with a hearing scheduled for January 3.

OH yes fast tracks the decision, right. Will Billy plead the case himself?

MSNBC panel buries ‘bumbling fool’ Giuliani for Biden scandal fail: ‘He’s a hired gun — but he’s a gun with blanks’

Republican strategist Rick Tyler unleashed on President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani during a Thanksgiving appearance.

In an MSNBC panel discussion, host Alison Morris asked if Giuliani’s excuses were believable — namely that Giuliani was acting on his own accord, not at the direction of the president. Tyler flatly said “no.”

“But Rudy-Colludy is over there trying to dig up dirt on the Bidens, the president’s chief political rival,” Tyler continued. “No one disputes the facts on this. You don’t even get the Republicans disputing exactly what happened on the phone call. it was an orchestrated campaign to put pressure on the Ukrainian president to conduct or at least announce that you were investigating a political rival, end of the story. That’s what this is about. It is very simple to understand. It is arms for dirt.”

As the president is backing away from Giuliani, saying that he was acting alone, it flies in the fact of documents released from the State Department showing Trump was in the loop through his White House assistant.

Legal analyst Katie Phang explained that the charges against Giuliani are serious ones, including mail fraud or wire fraud. She agreed that the federal investigators are likely trying to get Giuliani to flip on the president.

WATCH: Trump supporters chant ‘BS’ at Florida rally as the president goes off on impeachment

Trump, who is now officially a Floridian, attacked Congress for investigating his solicitation of foreign election interference from Ukraine and other countries.

After Trump falsely argued that “everybody” says impeachment is “bullsh*t” the crowd replied by chanting the word.

Trump on Americans' reaction to impeachment: “Everybody said that’s really bullshit.”

Florida rally crowd now chanting "Bullshit! Bullshit! Bullshit!"

There goes Trump elevating political discourse!

Ex-GOP lawmaker drops an expletive on CNN while ripping into Trump’s fake ‘war on Thanksgiving’

Throughout this whole article they do not identify Walsh as being and anti-Trump candidate for President!

Appearing on CNN, former Republican lawmaker Joe Walsh had little good to say about Donald Trump on Thanksgiving morning, saying voters are getting tired of his act and may be letting their representatives know that impeachment should be on the table.

Along the way, the former House member from Illinois hammered the president for pushing a bogus story about a “war on Thanksgiving” and ending up swearing on live TV.

Speaking with “New Day” host John Berman, Walsh — who is opposing Trump for the GOP nomination — brought up the president’s fictitious story about Thanksgiving at a recent rally in Florida.

That is as close to identifying the Responsible Republican Resistance to Trumpski as they got. If the LSM won't elevate the Responsible Republican Resistance to at least ground level, aren't they just shielding Trumpski for the clicks he generates?

“I got into this race, John, because Donald Trump is unfit,” Walsh explained. “He’s a danger to this country, he cannot tell the truth. He cannot place the country’s interest ahead of his own.”
“It may be harder for me to get on TV because all everybody wants to do is talk about impeachment, but I go into Iowa and I go into New Hampshire and there are issues that voters care about. and they’re tired of the Trump reality show — they really are,” he continued.

“You know Trump stood in front of voters this week and made up a war on Thanksgiving,” Walsh stated. “We have a president of the United States who, pardon my language, literally makes shit up. When you talk to Republican voters, they’re tired of this crap. I have Republican voters tell me they don’t want to go through four more years of this.”

The Swampiest Swamp in the History of Swamps

It turns out that the connections between President Donald Trump and Turkey are even stranger than we thought.

Consider the recent histories of two powerful Washington lobbying groups: Mercury and Ballard.

Brian Ballard is a heavyweight lobbyist who was featured Politico’s Playbook Power list in 2018, dubbed as “The Most Powerful Lobbyist in Trump’s Washington,” for his influence over the administration. He had been a major fundraiser for the Trump campaign and chairman of Trump’s campaign in Florida.

The government of Qatar is one of Ballard’s clients, and so was the government of Turkey until last month. Turkey alone paid roughly $2 million to Ballard’s firm over the last two years. The relationship between Turkey and Ballard ended after Turkey’s state-run bank Halkbank (which at the time had also been Ballard’s client) was indicted in federal court for evading U.S. sanctions against Iran.
