Silkstockingslover

I'm nominating my favorite author silkstockingslover for the most influential writer. Each of these stories is sexy and unique in its own way.

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Jasmine. I believe in the validity of my accusation but not so much that she should be attacked in her story’s comments before any accusations are proven or dismissed by the moderators. Jasmine, I have done a terrible thing to you. I am guilty. I'm sorry for any harm you've sustained as a result of our exchange. I truly hope that no one had acted against you because of our exchange. I hoped that the powers that be would looked into it and apply discipline where necessary, whether it be you or me. I am a dumb bitch with a big mouth, and guilty or not, you deserve better than the treatment you've received.

Nominations

It's hard to pick one writer when the categories are so diverse.

That said, while he doesn't post often, BurntRedStone publishes stories in several categories. His tales are in SF/Fantasy, Erotic Couplings, and Incest; the stories are often long, well-written, and are consistently at the top of the All-Time Favorites lists, especially his Shepherd series and Jack Tanner series.

Another one, for the Non-Human category, is WriterAnnabelle, who publishes frequently and has come to dominate that section with multiple outstanding stories.

The criterion for nomination evidently is "what author affected ME the most." So that doesn't mean somebody that I think is necessarily the most popular or influential author for the Site as a whole. It's someone whose work has influenced me personally.

By that criterion I suppose I'd nominate TarnishedPenny, a number of whose stories I read in 2020 and whose stories are always distinguished by a) being gracefully written, and b) having more sophisticated and adult-oriented plots and themes than many other stories here (including my own). After reading one of her stories I always feel like I have to take a little more care with my word choices when I write my own stories, and I find myself trying to make my plots and characters a little more believable. So I think that qualifies as a positive influence worth appreciating and noting.

Two of her stories from last year that I would point out and recommend are Pictures At An Exhibition https://www.literotica.com/beta/s/pictures-at-an-exhibition-1 and Dare To Shout Love At A Dying City https://www.literotica.com/beta/s/dare-to-shout-love-at-a-dying-city.

She's also an unfailingly polite, insightful, and positive contributor to the Author's Hangout, and I think that counts for something, too.

Prolific and Imaginative

I nominate Jasmine Walker, aka silkstockingslover. She writes in many genres, and even her essays earn high ratings. She's not afraid to push boundaries, and she consistently paints some wild pictures for us with her words.

silkstockingslover

She's the only author that i have on my bookmark list. Also, she's the only author that made me read stories that i don't usually like. and her language are simple for non-english speaker.

PS: I admit that i voted this time because i saw some questioning her fans.

This is an unexpected honor, and I am privileged indeed to have been nominated.

While "Influential" would perhaps be somewhat of a misnomer, considering the paltry views my romantic little tales have attracted, I like to think that my few stories do provide a certain amount of inspiration to those who have survived reading them.

That’s good of you to apologize. What I would say is, this is Literotica. You have to have a thick skin to keep writing here - we all get the comments - and we all have our rather dedicated fans. Lol. Goes with the territory. So apologize and move on. It’s no biggie. I’ve done some dumb things on Literotica too 😬

Is there a "most easily identifiable alt" category?

MsCherylTerra

I nominate MsCherylTerra.

Her stories are true sparkling gems of writing. In her Runaway and Finding Home series, she crafted a beautifully told tale of love, passion, devotion, fear, redemption and forgiveness. She did it with well developed characters, natural and believable dialogue and great humour. Her erotic scenes were well placed, fitting in naturally with the storyline.

What influence did it have on me? She made a 67 year old man laugh, cry, and believe once again in the power of true love! She brought entertainment, joy and comfort to my soul during these awful times of COVID and isolation. I have not found a writer on Literotica that has done this to me, to this depth before. And, she did it not once with the above series, but time and again with her other exquisitely crafted stories like No Strings Attached, The Last Time and When It Rains.

The fact that she won the 2020 Christmas story writing with A Very Nellie Christmas bespeaks of her abundant talent. I have read many authors on Literotica in many different genres over the years and I cannot think of anyone more deserving or that have moved me more than MsCherylTerra!

She also co-wrote the second place Covid story and has monster scores in various categories.

Cheryl is a giant talent and shouldn't be overlooked.

GeorgeAnderson. His “February Sucks” has inspired a million alternate stories. If that’s not influential, I don’t know what is!

Would like to nominate StuartLaJoie

The current series is a take on an old story line but proves to be quite provocative and compelling.

I would like to nominate GabtheWriter

I love her she is amazing. She pumps out endless stories that are always so captivating. I’ve read everything she’s written at least 3 times and she deserves many votes!

Harddaysknight

There are a couple of other names I considered. GeorgeAnderson certainly is a contender. After other writers offered thirty-some versions of his "February Sucks" story, that's quite a year. Harddaysknight has been an inspiration to a great many writers. He is certainly very influential, both in the past, and now. "Most Influential" doesn't mean most popular, but he would be in contention for that, as well. The idea that anyone outside the top 100 most followed writers on the site could be "most influential" is absurd. Harddaysknight qualifies again. He's the man.
