Thankful I don't need to cook for Thanksgiving. My plan this year is to pick up take out from my favorite Vietnamese place the day before. Will be a nice treat for me.

I remember those coffee pots. We had one at our house. Bridge Club and several school events kept it busy.

My new favorite is Pati’s Mexican Table. Easy recipe ideas to follow. The One Who Must Be Obeyed is Mex/American so we enjoy her picks for her show.

Awww. It’s never easy. At least he is in assisted living so can be a little autonomous. But also get the supervision and care he needs.

Had a nice day today.

My one sister visited my mom today and had a good visit. She’s still confused and a bit upset but had a good, productive visit.

In the meantime, my wife and I drove up to upstate New York to visit my sister who’s having a difficult time. We had a really nice visit and helped her get some work done on her attic that she’s refurbishing into a room. it’s pretty amazing, she’s pretty crafty. I gotta tell you.

She made a finished attic, instead of buying shiplap, she bought 3/4 plywood with a maple finish and ripped it into strips. It looks really good!!

We had a late lunch at Cohens, which is one of the best bakeries on the planet!

I'm glad you were able to see your sister. I'm sorry she's having a difficult time.

That bakery is evil. I forbid myself to go into a bakery
