This will be the second year in a row that I will not be having a "traditional" Thanksgiving.
It seems as if my SO has decided that since it will be my three and her sister's four that we are doing Mexican this year.
In the past, she had went all out for the holiday when her parents were still around and my daughter still lived at home.
It was difficult for her because it was well beyond her skill level at times, especially since she always overdid it on food.
Last year, our holiday was late due to illnesses. So it was a smaller affair.
I am looking forward to the slimmed down menu because of the hopefully lack of arguments. :)

To those celebrating, I wish for the best.
To those not, I hope you have a wonderful day.
As for me, it's too early to be awake on a day off. :D

Sounds like a good plan, I am hosting a friends giving potluck for 2 widows and their family who might otherwise have been alone.

It feels a bit bittersweet this year.
Since moving back to the PNW in 1998, I have had this day with her family and never my own.
A little over a month ago, I lost my mother. This was heavy on my mind yesterday with the work potluck.

I'm just glad I got a hug from you this year for it, my friend. 🥰🥰🥰

I'm sorry you lost your mom, :(

I get it though. Since POS left several years ago during the this time, I could do without the holidays. I really don't like to partake in them anymore. On my vacation, my 'friend' had me do holiday stuff, like dress matching to go out on the town and pulled me to a Christmas store, and it was the first time I smiled around holiday activity. I'm just not into it anymore. I still show up and hang with the family. I try to give them four hours or so before I come home.

I hope you enjoy this year. You deserve it, Blue! 🤗
