Good morning all.
Today will be fun. I have a team coming out to reroof my house.
I was asked by the so to stay home from work in case we have issues with our special needs son.
I am a bit nervous, but at the same time planning on just relaxing and watching how everything goes.

I can completely understand. I turned down a promotion because I didn’t want the headache. Now the guy who took the job is out for health issues and I find myself, again, filling in that seat. I’m also finding out he’s dropped the ball on a number of issues that are coming to bite me in the ass. 971 days can’t come soon enough.

My husband used to hang about the kitchen when I was baking so he could QC the cookies!

My wife and cookie dough were never far apart. She also hovered around my pie dough and I had to chase her from the kitchen!

I just hated having to worry about how I looked all the time especially with dresses. Plus they got in the way for playing in mud, sports, or climbing trees. Was a pain to have to worry about it all the time so I went for the shorts or jeans!

I always VERY GENTLY throw snowballs at my wife and daughter.

Especially when I see my wife working inside while I’m shoveling or snow blowing … I’ll make big soft and fluffy snowball and throw it at the window.

The last 24 hours I went on a binge: bought the dryer, dishwasher and new iPhone 3 Next generation. Thankfully I have stash for such emergencies.

The “Alberta Clipper”a.k.a lake effect snow machine, is heading our way. We will not get much where I live but enough make a mess of driving later today and tonight.

No taxi this morning as house cleaners come in to rid my place of cob webs in places I cannot reach.

Work is crazy right now. Big project popping next week and I have a planned long weekend away.

Typical work BS.

I’ve been having leg and foot pain the last few mos. My primary thought my varicose veins were acting up again, so went to vascular guy. He is a great doc and did my varicose veins a few years ago.

He doesn’t think this is a vascular issue. But an ultrasound will rule it out. That means maybe I’m just getting old or maybe it’s a muscular/skeletal issue. Possibly a nerve issue.

Back to work. Really busy right now.

I am glad you are seeing a doctor about the leg and foot pain. How long before you can retire? I sense you and others are ready emotionally. I think it’s a good idea to do so before the body says you can’t do anything active.
