Go with bare minimum. Let him fuck himself!I have to meet with the most unpleasant jerk of a doctor for work today.....he doesn't like me.... and he shows it. I am just trying to help him... but I am at the point of either asking him what his major malfunction is or just giving up and providing him the bare minimum and telling him good luck
Have you tried any alternative therapies, BSK? I'm so sorry you're in pain. This probably won't make you feel better, but I have hugs.Good morning all. Today’s going to be a challenge. I didn’t sleep well and I’m in a lot of pain today. The wife wants me to go to the doc, but I’m already on 3 pain killers. Not sure what else they can do other than more meds. Got to love the VA, just treat the symptoms not the underlying issues. Hope you all are a great day. Stay safe.
My sister sent me a video she took of it snowing at her house in Louisiana! Wild!Liv’n in a winter wonderland! Went out and trudged around with the tribe in snow yesterday. Very fun. Haven’t done that here in 20 odd yrs. We fired the fire pit and sat around watching the finch’s flitter around. Hot coffee then hot tea…we covered all bases. It’s day two of the Southland Blizzard (I’m sure the WX Channel has named it something) and everything is turning to ice. Damn near did a pirouette taking the trash out this morning! Everyone stay safe and warm in this stuff. It’s fun for a day, but then I want it to shoo…
Sunrise on the sound MZ…

Has no one tried to find the source of your pain? Maybe you need a nerve block.I’m supposed to start a pain management group with the VA and I’ve been to pain management specialists. Again, all they want to do is more and stronger drugs to mask the pain.
I love those pink gloves with the ring. If they had a sparkly bracelet on them, they would be PERFECT!Morning all... sounds like Mother Nature is spreading more Wintery Love all over the place.
-2F with a -17F Wind Chill here
Quick catch up...
Do you mean these gloves?? You can coordinate with @Missk_2022
Pink Gloves post
Count me in. I've no skill in throwing a punch, but I can help hold 'em down.
It may be a federal holiday but not all school districts in the country observe it. Many still have school that day. Surprised a Yankee friend of mine their first year teaching in a state far to the South of where they were raised.
I'm so sorry had that experience. Sounds awful!
I have a bad track record with many meds, but nothing like that.
Glad you were able to get it corrected/slowed and kept it localized. Sounds awful!
Underrated post ^^
Vent away!! So sorry you continue to go through this seemingly never-ending cycle.

Ugh - I vote give him the minimum, request feedback/questions via email and then toodaloo
Gorgeous photo.
The South and Ice... if it's not Ice Storms then it's this rare snow that melts and freezes. Yikes!! Hope you get enough of a warm up soon so it all melts for good!!
ICU nurses do that, too. One of my friends said, in front of a doctor, " Oh, thank god! A REAL doctor just walked in!" This was when the Intensivist (an ICU specialist doctor) walked in. The other doctor was trying to give her orders for a patient that would have resulted in an unsatisfactory outcome. She, of course, was refusing.Yep those gloves are it..... if you have to.do dishes at least be fancy and it will protect our ladylike delicate hands....hahahaha
Yeah I will maintain professionalism.... but If this crap happened when I was bedside.... it would have already been handled in an er nurse way..... way more direct.....
Its snowing here...ugh
I see them on the roof of my solarium pecking away at bits blown off the trees. There are plenty of thick bushes for them to hide in when it's too cold and blowy. No finches right now, but we do have our usual chickadees. They're hungry today.

Honestly I have no idea how they survive in this climate. Just the thermodynamics of something that small, all night long, at 20 below zero in a wind storm boggles my mind.
Excellent! I'm so glad it went well!Well.....the doc visit went amazing...I prayed the whole way there. He was pleasant and seemed to have an overall better attitude....
I am.employing a new method of repeating the question or statement to make sure I understand and respond in a good way and can offer help/ suggestions.
1st visit of the year but fingers crossed we continue with this trajectory
I was on for a bit last night. I've been trying to catch up.Everyone is busy tonight..... I am just hanging around...xxxxx
Good luck, M! As much as corporations and companies complain that "noBodY wAnTs tO woRk aNymoRe," they surely don't make it easy for those who do. Good for you pursuing those certifications!Well, been occupied the last day or more with studying for certifications tomorrow. That, and clicking back over to a story on Lit that I was engrossed with. A real tear jerker at the end. God that man can write.
Anyways all set for testing tomorrow. That should produce what I need to get back to Florida for the last trailer load of our things then the move is complete
Lots of rejection emails this week for jobs but those certification im going to get from testing will get me hired in no time. I just don't want to get back out on the road again. Trucking is NOT romantic. No don't care who you are, all the asphalt looks the same in all 47 states. Yeah, I'm looking at you Indiana. Stop letting cousin Eddie get the road contracts.
Good night everyone.
Good night K. Your not totally alone. You guessed that I'm sure.
Sometimes I wonder how I found the time to work!Retirement turns out to be busy. Friday is now my day to be with my granddaughter![]()
I like that, brandy, or schnapps in my hot chocolate! It is! Though there is a special blend with Burbon that works best.
Sounds like a fun evening!good morning Spooners. I was pretty much a no-show yesterday.
Fucking work - always getting in the way!
Speaking of which, there is more work, bullshit, but nothing I can’t handle or figure out.
Had a lovely dinner with some of our punk rock neighbors. There might’ve been some drinking… because at some point there was some moshing happening in our living room.
Fun and chaotic nite!!!
I just started checking on this for my state. I also need to renew my passport as it's expired. I'm planning a trip to see family in March. I can still fly with my regular WA DL.Have a great day today all.
Full slate of meetings, I have to do the webinar and I need to plan a trip to Hartford the second and fourth weeks of February.
Starting work early today, because I need to cut out a bit early to get my real ID (as opposed to my fake one???) and I’m finishing off the day with a massage! (Like a real one)
The real ID appointments require several months advance notice.
Most southerners have no idea how to manage cold!I went to Home Depot yesterday and there were a lot of people there complaining, to no one in particular about how cold it was. It was in the 40s. I did have my flannel jeans, wool socks and a lined hoodie on. I guess most life time FL residents don't have all the warm clothing. The lady I followed in to the store from the parking lot complained all the way.
That's a southern thing! Mine and some of my aunties did, too!My grandmother would say "sugar". We all knew what she meant.
Maybe she didn't like our vibe...This person came in hot....I was like wtf
Please do stay away! You DO NOT want to get that! The nasty norovirus struck my grandchildren. My daughter said ‘stay away’ until we are done with it.
If I thought this worked I wou)d move to Antarctica and "wonder" around a bit..hahahaha
We need a hug emoji! I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's very hard for us to see our parents decline. Dementia is a horrid condition!Been up since about 0230. Mom had a paranoid dementia episode last night. She told me that she just couldn't hold it in anymore. My girls have been sneaking out of the house at night and meeting people out by the road and talking real loud or bringing them into the house. She told me that she could see and hear them and told me what door they were using. She told me they were still out there. Sooo, I took her to their rooms and showed her that they were there and asked if they had left the house. They of course said no and she said "likely story." and harrumphed off to sit in the living room for the duration of the night. I sat up with her answering her questions about how long I had been dealing with it. Why hadn't I stopped them. Did I know the people they were meeting etc. it's gonna be a long day and I have to figure out how to protect them from all this.
She has done the same thing to the house keeper, home health care nurse and the physical therapist. Once she starts in on one of these dramatic stories she doesn't let go...ever. no matter what. The night my dad passed here at home with hospice, I stayed up with him wetting his lips with a sponge and giving him morphine drops every 2-3 hours. She still tells family that I stayed up with him to steal his morphine. The morphine bottle came up missing in the morning after he passed and the nurse told my mom she took had taken it as per protocol. She wouldn't hear it. I'm the son that tortured the last few hours of my dad's life, still.
It's not her fault but this is so hard. Do we leave when she needs us to protect my daughters? Is the damage already done and we should just ignore it? Do we try to correct her and risk her disappointment?
I've got some thinking to do for sure.
Everyone, hug those around you as your day starts. Make a great day today.

My husband designed our house. We also have huge closets! And a storage room!I designed this one. LOTS of closets, Huge pantry, lots of storage. I hate clutter. At least you can close a door on clutter in a closet.
Huge closets are a must up north. We go from -30F to 100F. You need clothes for those temps and everything in between!
A pantry is a must, because who wants to leave the house at -30F!![]()
Continue to work with her. It seems she want to find answers for you.Eh.
Visit with her yesterday. She's trying more things. She told me she's not out of ideas yet. We just need to work through them (This is something like my 14th visit to her, not including countless emails/messages). I do trust her, she's sharing her concerns and thoughts with me.
Some blood work numbers improved on their own this month. That appears to driven by inflammation, which appears to be driven by allergies, which are reduced due to winter+snow+freezing...
Hahaja... I told q doc to give me a fucking break...he ordered abd pain workups on 4 patients at the same time and told me it was my fault someone was refusing a CT because I was too slow.... I said you see all those fancy nurses sitting at the table having coffee while I struggle...if you really cared about the pt you would stop playing a game on your phone and get me some help instead of coming to me with that bullshit... he never did that again...all the other docs laughed......ICU nurses do that, too. One of my friends said, in front of a doctor, " Oh, thank god! A REAL doctor just walked in!" This was when the Intensivist (an ICU specialist doctor) walked in. The other doctor was trying to give her orders for a patient that would have resulted in an unsatisfactory outcome. She, of course, was refusing.![]()
I almost said something but I didn't have too because the old regulars took care of it....Maybe she didn't like our vibe...![]()
