The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

So Mrs. Wonderer was right.

Public humiliation!

I quickly went through two sheer pins, bringing the snowblower down the rock driveway. I’m not too surprised.

Then we hand dug through the giant snowbank, and I drove the pick up truck down there to where the firewood was. I almost got stuck and it was a miracle. I got back out.

🤪

Luckily, I have four more shear pins! We ended up using toboggans to take a bunch of firewood from the Firewood stacks up to the wood stand.

Now I’m back at work.

Dammit. A friend of mine does have a have a plow service and I’m gonna pay him cash to just dig through.
Treat urself and pay the man..

There you go! Better spend a little cash then break your back! (Speaking from experience)

Listen to the wife. It was a lesson I learned the hard way. 😂

The first step us admitting u have a problem (listening to your beloved)

Almost like it writes itself  😜 😂
Glad it only cost you a handful of sheer pins and some pride to get to that realization.

Moral of the Story: "Yes, dear" is always so much easier
Alternate Moral: Just look at @Wat_Tyler and follow suit

I have met the Mrs. I trust her thinking. Certainly a lot more than either of the women I divorced. Especially the second one….

Yep. Same sort of shit. When I build a kitchen, I think that I shall have more dedicated circuits than are called for, just for this reason. In case I want to air fry my microwave or verse visa.
In VA or maybe Fairfax County the permit rules for new construction include home runs for several common kitchen circuits and AFCI a step up from GFI. Refrigerator, disposal, oven even if it is gas and 120, dishwasher, microwave. This ~35 year old townhouse has a homerun for the oven and the microwave mounted above it. Disposal and dishwasher are each on individual runs. Then the refrigerator is first on a circuit that has outlets on the kitchen counter as well as on the other side of the wall in the den. I'm not puttin' a AFCI behind the fridge and may not on that circuit at all. The bathrooms, garage, outside and kitchen circuits are supposed to be 20 amp as well. The elec co now puts a meter on the outside that knows if you are charging and electric car. In VA as liberal as it is Fairfax now charges a premium for charging your car on 120 or 240.
If you have gas, I would add at least two runs to the back porch where the as grill might live. The extra for a heat source or a blackstone next to the grill. I cook outside more than in because I think it is easier to clean up if I don't dirty a pot or pan... Most of my neighbors say they would maintain a gas grill but they don't like having to fill propane tanks. My sisters home in the south has tankless water heat. When they get that unusual super freeze in the winter the source is mounted outside and freezes. Too have tankless water heat per spigot you need More than the standard line coming into the house. Like 1/2" is too small and you need 3/4' or 1" service.
When I "re-did" my house I could have afforded to upgrade the electric and run the wire. But fixing all the holes in the wall to get it where it needed to be was well beyond my budget.

The guy who was sooo nice to plow for my parents and shovel walk charged me 120$ plowed a swath and left a pile in front of mailbox and didnt plow the whole area... now my parents want me to take care of it right fucking now..... like fuck i have to fucking work.... the mother fucker is not getting another 120$ of my fucking money. So tonight after working alllllll fucking day i am going to go over and fucking shovel in front of the fucking mailbox
I was going to take the day off shoveling and cook some more of the stuff I bought so I could leave the car in the garage. So far I am only low on lemons and something to dilute my tomato gravy. I put a whole TB of pepper flakes because last time it had no kick.
As I was kind of awake but not enough pressure to make me get up and pee I could hear a bobcat. They finally came to dig us out. He did a surprisingly good job. Maybe because I went out. All the parking spaces I helped clear had people out to work so I pushed what was left out for the plow. Many don't do the sidewalk in front of their house so I did. the guy on the end near the mailboxes doesn't know heavy snow will disable you. So I re-dug their trucks out and chipped the ice off their front walk. I cleared a wide path to the mailboxes and chipped and dug through the snow plow bank so the mailwoman can get to the mail boxes. Dug out our fire hydrant which may have tweaked my back a bit. Plow boulders are heavier than they look. Met a neighbor that has lived here 30 years. I had seen him but he never really speaks. He stopped and talked today. He assumes most a renters and he doesn't need to know him. I asked if he knew who stole his parking space that he cleaned rather well. He found another but leaves about 9am daily for chemo and radiation. We had him back out and cleaned his space well. I offered my driveway while he was waiting on a space if he got stranded again. What do people on chemo and radiation like to eat? He is single and I never saw some one visit. I could spatchcock him a chicken that's easy. I'd use part of it to make broth if it was mine, but I don't think he knows how to do that. Implied he doesn't cook much even though he's retired.
My hands won't warm up today. But in early from shoveling because it looks actually done for now. I can't stop eating. But only bagels 3 bean salad with pomegranate and corn, and way too many cookies. I gave a dozen to the neighbor that fed me yesterday and since I was plowed the woman and child stopped by and grabbed half what was left, a jar of gravy and left disappointed I haven't cooked the ham yet. Soon a cornish hen I have had in brine is going on charcoal. Watch the sunset.

I would do a tankless water heater as long as it was gas served. I don't want anything pulling more amperage than a range.

We have another weekend of a foot of sneaux in the foresk . . . forecast. Manglement is set on st000pid over this. We have five crews coming into town for Our Little Project, from out of town, from the south. Yeah. Today was the first day here that things were back to normal from last weekend's white deluge. True, it wasn't as bad as was forecast, but how many times in a row you gonna throw sevens? The subs say, push it off another week. The super says, fuck lying to these people, and the weather will make us liars. Manglement cannot make a fucking decision. Wat has half a mind to call the owner's rep and get a decision.
