I think that's a discontinued treatment as it can restrict breathing and allow nasty bugs for things like pneumonia to take hold.
Check with your doctor or call the nurse line if you have one available.
Ice or cold packs can help, too.

I’ll let her know. She’s not much of a going to the doctor type, so this is good to know.

Happy Sunday (keeping it secular). Slept decently. Got in some TDK time before getting up. She has been all combed out, so she's soft and fluffy. She and Panther were playing while I was half-asleep - sounds of galloping and of small cats thumping the floors with one another. It's shooping day. Gonna change one more suspect panel breaker, then load the car and head south. There's a wee errand to run when I get there. Should be a touch warmer this week. We'll see . . . .

My new handgun came with 1 whole magazine. One. How generous. So I found some high performance mags from an aftermarket supplier and ordered three of them.


36 rounds should be about double what I would need under the worst of circumstances . . . .

for the one mag. Two reloads sounds reasonable.

She should carry a small pillow and if coughing or sneezing press the pillow against it... it will "splint" the area and help with pain

Ed Brown makes 1911 hotrods. I got 3 of his 10mm mags. I was going to go with Wilson Combat but I read the reviews first and one guy wrote that the mags he got failed to feed properly. That saved me $30 by going to a guy with 5 stars only.


They'll be here when I get home next weekend.
