Today was as bad as I thought, rain/snow/iceball mix until late afternoon. Wound up with boots coated 3" thick with soil more clay than dirt. Upside? We did well enough to try our certification tomorrow. If I pass I get to start getting my own assignments and can start working on my own.

Not me - behind all day with no sign I'll catch up.
I'm an hour behind my normal lunch break... and still have a full day's work to somehow cram into the last few hours after lunch. Phew!

Just so ya'll know... I'll be logging off pretty early today.
I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for an out of state road trip. Should be fun - except for all the driving.
I'll be back around next Wednesday (4/30).

Well, we had an imaging appt this morning for Mom at 0800. We didn't make it. After I woke her up, she fell on her way to the bathroom. This is the second time she has fallen in a week.

She has deteriorated rapidly over the last three weeks. Tonight, we are discussing how to escalate her care and making an appointment to her GP to see if they want to reevaluate her level of care so we can upgrade her insurances coverage

I hate to say it, but I think we will move into a hospice situation. If not now, then soon. I'm glad I'm here for that but I'm sad to see it get to this point so rapidly.

Asking for good vibes, laughs and smiles. Anything sad I've already got in spades.

Doing very well! Thanks for asking! Hope everything is well you also!

She’s up and around on her own. Her PT says she’s a little behind on angle of bending but close enough she’s not too concerned. She’s hit or miss with exercising but can walk for short periods without a noticeable limp. If she’s on her feet long though, she’ll hobble. Still has some swelling and uses the “Iceman” machine every night. For those in the know…or those about to get a knee replacement…the Iceman is the best $100 you’ll ever spend.

Last couple of weeks have been crazy. Nurse maid to the wife, getting my mom’s house in order, work, concerts, Easter, fishing trip, work, planting, cleaning…I almost feel like Wonderer and Wat!

I”m going back to the “real” job to get some rest. IYKYK…

I'm so glad she's doing well. Encourage her to continue with her exercises. It might hurt now but will help immensely in the long run.

Hermit crabs are notorious for moving into empty shells.


They also get tossed out on their ears when the shell is wanted back . . . .

Good morning early risers and evening to Lilli and our Aussie and Kiwi friends. Good afternoon to friends in Europe.

The taxi will be running today. The good news is my granddaughter is over the recent childhood virus but my partner’s granddaughter is coming down with it. Thus my partner was exposed yesterday and we do not see each other when that happens.

Sigh, little ones are virus factories.

Not so much until my junior and senior years in college. Gave it up when going to graduate school as was losing too much of my memory. Now it’s too complicated with all of my meds but it would be nice to inhale again!

She went to a concert last night and stood for the whole thing. Didn’t complain, so I’m thinking she’s well on her way to recovery. I’m off to the friendly skies, so I might catch up on some rest!

Well I will be incommunicado for a while. Just today. I have to go into the office, to see weasels in person. Because having to deal with them over teams isn't enough. We are having a team building event. I don't want to be part of this team I just wanted to my job and go home and collect a paycheck on Friday. Some may say this is a bad attitude, I am pretty sure it is self preservation. Everyone have a good day and I will check in soon
