I am pretty sure you are up near the wildfires. Hope all is well and that you are staying out of trouble!

The wildfires are on the opposite side of the state from us. Way down in south Central Jersey in the pinelands. (we call the Pine baron which sounds a whole lot scarier. It’s where the legend of the Jersey Devil was born and weird shit does happen down there…)

Anyway, the fire seems mostly under control now and I think only one commercial building was destroyed and a few outbuildings

I’ve heard nothing but great things about the firefighters and their response. I work with a few people from down that direction and the Tuesday and Wednesday were turned upside down.

Same thing happened to my mom. UTIs were the culprit. She would get dizzy, disoriented and fall.

UTI? I never would have thought about it, but yeah. I gotta have them be more thorough. I know they are not checking for that. If she is holding it all day because she is worried about falling, it may only be getting worse because she's holding it.

UTI? I never would have thought about it, but yeah. I gotta have them be more thorough. I know they are not checking for that. If she is holding it all day because she is worried about falling, it may only be getting worse because she's holding it.

With LOLs uti will cause a lot of problems.... and dehydration too.... older people don't have a sense of thirst and dehydrate easily. I good test is to gently pull on the skin of her arm... if it pulls up and stays there like an old fashioned tent... she needs to drink some water/ Gatorade etc....

I saw one like this in Lowe's. Problem is, it connects to a min 5 lb tank not a < 1 lb cannister.

Weed burner is going to need a big tank of fuel... Get a one with a longer hose, and move the tank around with you.

It’s definitely an issue with older folk. My mom would not drink a lot of water, because she didn’t want to have to get up and go to the bathroom often.

This led to UTIs, then to falling and confusion. It’s pretty common with folks of advanced age.
