The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good morning all. I found a great old dog sitter. She is a freshman in college whose mother is a widow in our Meetup group. She and old dog get along great.

Even though, when I return home he wants to play which means he is a happy old dog.

Forecast is for some rain and then later this week more smoke from the wildfires.

She destroyed me again yesterday! As usual. But! She's started taking me over to the "big kids" section of the gym! 🤯🤯 I do everything she asks of me. It's not pretty and it's not quick but I can see that I'm making progress. Our main focus is balance and strength.

Yes same focus here. Seems like they know to prepare us to survive a fall
The other day when I was grumbling, she told me about a client of hers who is 92! And uses oxygen! Well, I just had to shut up after that! 🤣🤣🤣 I want to be that lady! 💞
Yup definitely wanna be alive in these c “golden” years. Be strong my friend👍👍

Sounds like a relaxing groove
I've a sibling who likes that group.
I could chill for a while but unless they're the background to our more important conversation, I'd want to change to music after about 3 songs. 🤘

🫂 Hoping you get good news!
It must be the Year of the Colonoscopy.
Music is a funny thing. I 💕 all kinds of music. I give everything a shot, but always sort of come back around to my faves. Live music…same…love it! having said all that, there are certain groups I have given shots but they just don’t flip my switch. The Avett Bro’s are one of those. Our local hipster station has them in heavy rotation. There’s a couple of tunes…. I should love them…they’re literally from right up the road. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Books/authors? Same. There are certain authors that I’m “supposed” to love, but…no. Flannery O’Connor…yeah, I’m talking bout you! 🤣. Maybe I’m weird…

It’s hot here people…not Africa hot…yet, but It’s coming. I can feel it. It just seemed like last week I was crying about the cold. Where is that mythical place where it stays 72 year round?

Conversation overheard in Aldi’s yesterday between a frazzled mother and her two sons ages (I’m guessing) 6 and 4. The boys were sitting side by side in the seat of a cart packed with groceries.

Mom: “Don’t touch anything else!”
6 year old: “Can I touch him?” (Meaning his brother.)
Mom: “No!”
6 year old (without missing a beat): “Can I touch myself?”
Mom ignores him.
6 year old repeats the question.
Mom: “No!”

Literally the funniest thing I have heard in forever. I laughed my ass off.
